Can you post back here if your channels are not working please. Sky want me to reformat my Hard Drive but there is no chance! I am sure it has to do with the package being 'downgraded' as I was watching House fine last week and I changed around 20th Aug after I read it on here. I still get the channels so there should be no issue. I am really annoyed.

It seems anything on the packages that were 'cancelled' they will no longer allow me to watch despite the upgrade.

I downgraded my package from £21.50 to £19.50 on August 1st, cancelling variety and music and keeping knowledge as the latter two packs would mean that come September 1st I would be moved onto the Entertainment Plus (or Extra) and receive all 6 packs, cancelling on this date should have also ensured no disruption to the 3 packs I had before September. I do not recall losing any channels during this time, but when trying to view programmes recorded on the variety channels I have a message across the screen telling me to ring sky to receive the channel, the dates also corresponded with the last days of August. My recordings weren't of much importance, but it is very frustrating that channels I could still view and record, will not allow me to watch the recordings.

In a way I am glad it is not just me but it is bloody annoying. I am going to speak to Sky tomorrow, if anyone else does the same, please can we post back here and let each other know what they say please.

Lots of us were told by Sky Customer Services that we could 'downgrade' our packages to kids, so when the new packages were reshuffled we would get all channels. This would save us £5 a month until September 2012 because of the Price Freeze.

This change has now happened and your new 'downgrade' would have started a month after calling (mine changed last week), however ALL programmes you have taped on your Sky+ or Sky+ HD boxes that are NOT in your 'new' package (for mine, I downgraded from all Mixes to just Kids - as advised) can no longer be viewed on playback. They told me that I should be able to view and play them back, I cannot.

If you try and record the same channel today - it will record and playback. As an example, I have taped Modern Family last night, it plays. Modern Family taped on the same channel 6 months ago does not playback and it tells me I need to upgrade my subscription.

This morning, I have called to ask about this and they told me to reboot my box, which I have done and it is still not working. The only thing they 'can do' is restore the box which means deleting everything from the box and starting a fresh!!

Which is absolute cow poop as far as I am concerned, I said no and if I wanted everything deleting I would do it myself. It seems those programmes cannot be restored at all.

I'd advise others to check their boxes but do not let them try and talk you into a complete restore - and the reboot will not work. They were telling me it was the only option I had but I still gave them a definate no. Recordings from 'Free to Air' channels such as BBC1 are NOT affected, just the channels in the mixes.

And because they have changed the mixes you can no longer reinstate the old mix to get the programmes back, they are gone.

Because, everyone has had their changes, have saved £5 a month and are not looking at that thread anymore. Why would they? I usually unsubscribe after a while if I've got my offer as some of them can go on, and on, and on, and on......

I dont no why sky told you this as you have never been able to view your planner once youve downgraded.Every year once the football season is over i swap sports for movies and then back again in august.Once you have got rid of the movies your no longer able to view them and this happens with all channels.
