Yes you are correct, the price will stay at the current level you pay now,but you will gain the other three packs that you do not get at the moment.

I'm currently paying £37.50 per month but called today on 0800 0466 434 and a very nice Scottish guy talked me through the options to reduce this sum. I've agreed to cancel Sky movies and my subs have reduced to £21.50 per month.

Sounds like he didn't offer you a deal. Movies are 16 a month at full price, so cancel that and your 37.50 bill becomes 21.50.

  • Hi,

Wanted to post my sucess story, im sooooo thrilled.

    Sky Functions at present:-
    1) Sky Tv Entertainment + (before sept I had variety & knowledge)
    2) Sky Broadband Everyday Lite
    3) Sky Talk Freetime

So full price would have been £21.50 tv, £0 broadband and £12.25 Line rental. Total about £33.75 per month.

Today I have accepted a an offer for 6 months half price tv and 6 month half price line rental.

Bringing total down to £16.38!!!! DEAL BREAKER OR WHAT.:j

Spk to a very nice scottish gentleman an hour ago from Sky and it appartently all sunny skies in Fife., i bet not anymore!!!

Also he said, of I ring up again in 5 months, there maybe able to reduce my outgoings futher.

Next task, try and get a HD+ 1tr box FOC and not set up costs :-)
  • my parents currently have full package,hd box,all channels, phone and broadband.i phoned to ask if any deals available without reducing their package as they both pensioners and love the tv...was offered £26 off per month for 6 months or 25% of their total bill for 12 months...i accepted the latter most gratefully.they were obviously over the moon
  • Did you downgrade to kids channel?

If so, please check your recordings - I suddenly cannot get the stuff I taped on Sky 1 and Sky 2 on HD+ playback. Not impressed as I cannot watch the last 8 episodes of House.

Can you post back here if your channels are not working please. Sky want me to reformat my Hard Drive but there is no chance! I am sure it has to do with the package being 'downgraded' as I was watching House fine last week and I changed around 20th Aug after I read it on here. I still get the channels so there should be no issue. I am really annoyed.

    Also lost things taped on:
    Sky Living +1
    Watch

It seems anything on the packages that were 'cancelled' they will no longer allow me to watch despite the upgrade.

They never told me that, anyone else??
