    Can I join please?

I joined my local Slimming World on Wed and it seems fairly straight forward (although I am a little confused about H, HH, S, SS etc foods????). Anyway, in all honestly I haven't really had time to knuckle down as yet. Work all day yesterday followed by a meeting into the late evening has resulted in me not going shopping yet. We had already planned to have steak fajhitas (kids fav). Still going to have them but instead of having it in a wrap I am going to have it with some savoury rice. Does anyone know how many syns Old El Paso Fajhita Mix will work out at. I'm going to stick with EE I think as it sounds the most straight forward. I will hopefully get out for some shopping this afternoon. Then I will be able to get into the plan propper.

Today I have had some Honey Shreaddies (HEb) with Milk (HEa) for breakfast.

I have a load of stawberries, an apple a banana and a sugar free jelly for lunch as I am hoping to get away early today for shopping. If I have any syns leftover tonight I might even treat myself to a Coors Light, again anyone know how many syns in a standard size bottle?

I am also for a run tonight. I used to be fairly active but I injured me knee a few weeks back which has set me back a bit and I have just given up smoking (day 10 now) so my breathing is a little erratic. I am planning on doing the C25K program but will prob jump in around week 5 as I have a fairly ok standard and I am used to running already. Hopefully this will help shift a few of the pounds.

Anyway sorry for the ramble and thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Kahuna and welcome, it's fun in here. When you went to class did they give you a PIN so you can check the syns online? It's the quickest way as there's not always someone here to look them up for you ... you might even find the Coors Lite listed in the book you were given (mine's in the kitchen and I am not dragging myself in there to have a look, sorry! :rotfl:) I think on the SW website, once you've logged in you have to go to "My Slimming Tools" or some such tab, it's not clear on there any more when Syns are to be found but I think it's that one. I rarely enter their website tbh. Sorry I can't be more help but I don't want you sitting there starving waiting for a response :D

  • Thank you, had a quick look on website, 41/2 for a bottle of beer and 31/2 for the whole packet of spice mix. Finally got on the website, not the most user friendly of sites but I am sure I will get used to eat.

Enjoyed my tea of steak fajitas (only had 1 wrap) and had it with some savoury rice and free wedges! Staying away from the beer tonight, might have one if I have any syns left tomorrow.

Thanks for the pointer about the website, off to do some meal planning for tomorrow, bacon roll for brunch and slow cooker sweet & sour pork for tea I think. Need to work out how many points it will be first.
    Just little old me!
  • Haha, just realised I wrote, sure I will get used to eat instead of it!!!! Food on the brain lol

  • Kahuna, the website is terrible I agree ... that's why I left you to find the syns for yourself, it just drives me mad! It used to be much easier to navigate! Note down the syns somewhere then you won't have to look them up again.

  • GREAT NEWS DIZZY. Glad you've finally got your date. I'm off for a trip to York and then Edinburgh so will be MIA for a week. Going to Aunty Betty's tea rooms so have been quite good in preparation for a HUGE scone and cream.

Have a great week everyone. xx

    Hello to all new.
    Confused57 - enjoy your break.
Out tonight for my birthday -- no meal but a few g&ts-- so not too bad - had one meal out this week already so told OH would rather leave it and go out next week!
