Hi, can I join? I started sw 5 weeks ago and it's going good so far. I have a very long way to go but feel in the right head place at the minute. Got my 1 1/2 stone sticker last night, so feeling good.

Yes it is, feeling very positive. Have just made a massive batch of sw lentil and vegetable soup and surprised myself that
    1. I can make soup,
    2. It actually tastes lovely and
    3. I quite like lentils lol.

  • Hello everyone

I'd like to join in with you, hopefully posting will get my motivation back on track. I first started SW about a year ago now, and originally lost two stone, taking me within a stone of target. In June, uni got hectic and I didn't have time to go to group, but I kept plodding on, much slower but slowly getting there. After Uni, OH and I moved in with his parents while we buy a house.

Always knew this would be hard for slimming, they always have a lot of non-SW friendly treats hanging around that are in my mouth before I register I've picked it up. OH does all the cooking so that works, but syns have been through the roof and in the last month I've gained nearly a stone. I saw myself in the mirror earlier and I looked exactly the same as a year ago when I started. I'm ashamed I've let myself slip this far this fast. No more. Back on plan now! :j

 to newbies, lovely to have you on board.

WI for me today and I'd lost a pound so I'm just under target. I'm delighted with this as it sets me up well for my little holiday next week. So if I include the meals out last night and tonight and the M&S pie I bought which we'll probably eat tomorrow and the holiday food I'll probably put on 3 or 4 lbs before next WI.

DH has been such a star, we haven't had a pastry pie for almost exactly a year and he loves them. He's eaten SW without a murmur so that's his treat.... but I'll be joining him:D

    My EE menu:
B: NAS squash, HEB Puffed Wheat with HEA milk plus teas, banana
    L: satsuma and pear
D: flexi, as I'm out celebrating friend's birthday so don't kow what I'll choose yet.

so now you can make dhal too, which is just thick lentil soup (add less liquid, or none!) and possibly extra garlic, free and lovely to pour over your curry or just nosh on its own.

nah, I agree with that, if you are talking about dynorod soup? I've tried and I thought it was vile. I managed to finish the 27 bowls ;) the recipe makes by adding loads of spices, but never again.

it's fab to be at target, lucky you, and just beneath it too, even better! I wish I hadn't reset mine, but am determined to plod on with it for a few more weeks. I am, as my consultant pointed out, brilliant at maintaining :D Have a good holiday and enjoy your pie!
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
