I just have one a day (cereal) and I follow red and green (I daren't do orange if red and green don't even work!) so I'm not having enough. I guess I could just double my bowl of cereal?

I would say you're not eating enough. Don't forget that the plans are meant to be followed as they are written so that you get all the nutrients you need to keep you healthy while you slim - missing things out means that your health will suffer in the long term.

There is a 7 day menu for the Extra Easy plan on the website www.slimming-world.co.uk . Follow it for a week and see what happens :)

When you start to exercise your body holds extra fluid to protect your (formerly unused) muscles. This will even itself out over the next week or so. Keep the faith, drink lots of water, take your measurements and you'll be a happy bunny in no time :)

    Hi All
I have been a member of SW for 4 weeks now.
I don't have a huge amount to lose (about a stone) but decided to bite the bullet and try to lose some weight since giving up smoking in January when the weight started to creep on!
I lost 3 lbs in my first week, 1lbs in my second and sts in my third which was v. disappointing as I had been extra good that week! I try to stick to EE as I find that the easiest plan for me.
I have just come out from a short stay in hospital and have been resting this week so have booked 2 weeks hols from SW. To my horror I have put on 4lbs  so I am nearly back to where I started!
I know that my weight is correct as my scales weigh me at exactly the same weight as the SW ones do.
I have been somewhat inactive this week, but I haven't been that bad with my eating!
I suppose I would like some encouragement to get me back on track for when I next go to weigh in.
    Thanks all!

Strangely the third week is notorious for STS in many members. Stick with it and the weight loss will start up again. The 4lbs on will come off very quickly once you get back on track :)

  • Some pain meds 'bung you up' so to speak:p and can effect losses.

    That comment made me chuckle!

    Senokot on standby!:rotfl:

    evening
I'm feeling a bit like Copperjar tonight, I seem to have been doing this forever and the weight loss is sooo s-l-o-w. Some of my friends are doing WW and have lost loads so I'm thinking of giving that a go, or just trying to be healthy and do some more exercise and see if that works.

Annie, this plan is meant to be forever, and because it's so generous it can sometimes be slower than you may like.

If you go to group, ask the Consultant about Fast Forward which is very strict but guarantees a good weight loss (if you can stick it for a week). Otherwise, try having half of your plate as superfree foods or doing EE for a week instead of green (which is known to have a slightly slower rate of loss).

The fact that your friends are losing weight fast with WW doesn't mean much - everybody loses at a different rate depending on loads of external factors.

Evening all after a lovely sunny day I am now sitting here feeling cold with jeans and hoodie on while son is in t-shirt n shorts and hubby is 'melting' beside me. Windows are wide open and I can feel a change in temp brrrrrr.
    Anyway food has been good [needs to be as over-ate yesterday];
    B - weetabix hot water/milk [.5a] coffee
L - pasta, toms, cue, bbq sauce [1]
T - comfort cheesy mash [1.5a], toms, onions, egg, spaggy hoops, mushy peas, bbq sauce [1]
Snacks - fruit salad, activia, s/cow [4.5] not had this yet.
    Syns - 6.5
Need another b, any ideas? Not sure what I've got apart from weetabix and cheese. Not really hungry though.
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
    Keep the Faith All

Sorry, totally off topic but do you know anything about chaos and fractals?

Not too much - I'm a chemistry specialist (have a PhD in analytical chemistry) but can try to help if you need something in particular. Love the question though! Makes us sound dead clever! (Shame its not true!)
