Hey maman are you now maintaining? Sorry if I missed your news x
Yes lynz, got to target last Thursday so still feeling euphoric!!!
I'm doing a bit of trial and error by having a mixture of extra HEs and extra syns but only occasionally not every day. I'm going to stick with going to my group regularly for a while - at least until after my holiday next month when I'm definitely going to gain.
I don't actually own any scales. I avoided buying any new ones so that I couldn't do any sneaky WIs. Do you think this is a good plan? I thought my clothes would 'tell' me if I was gaining too much. I'm afraid if I buy scales I'll be hopping on obsessively every day.0 -
Green day (as always)
HEA1: s/s milk in tea
B: 2x WM (HEB1) and 2x Linda McCartney sausages (4 syns! eek!)
L: Leftover dahl with lots of frozen spinach added, rice (all free)Hummus (2 syns for sesame oil), WM pita (HEB2), masses of salad (white cabbage, tomatoes, cucumber), frylighted wedges
Lots of fruit as snacks
Syns so far: 6
I have a HEA left over and some syns, so will think of a treat later.
I know the quorn sausages aren't free anymore, please does anyone know how many syns they are now?
Good luck everyone,

Hi All
I have been a member of SW for 4 weeks now.
I don't have a huge amount to lose (about a stone) but decided to bite the bullet and try to lose some weight since giving up smoking in January when the weight started to creep on!
I lost 3 lbs in my first week, 1lbs in my second and sts in my third which was v. disappointing as I had been extra good that week! I try to stick to EE as I find that the easiest plan for me.
I have just come out from a short stay in hospital and have been resting this week so have booked 2 weeks hols from SW. To my horror I have put on 4lbs  so I am nearly back to where I started!
I know that my weight is correct as my scales weigh me at exactly the same weight as the SW ones do.
I have been somewhat inactive this week, but I haven't been that bad with my eating!
I suppose I would like some encouragement to get me back on track for when I next go to weigh in.
Thanks all!0 -
Thanks everyone. I like my salads for lunch because they're HUGE and fill me up! A small sandwich probably wouldn't! And then I'd want pasties and the like with it too! What other types of things do people have for lunch (baring in mind I don't have access to a microwave in my office!). I do think I might need to mix it up a bit. I tend to have the same things because I'm a rubbish cook! Will also try the Extra Easy days. But I'm a bit wary of them![STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000

Well done :j thats fab, not long till Ill be back there I hope:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
I dont know honey to be honest! Personally I like to have scales and generally dont have a problem weighing more than once a week ( at specific time) as I know my body flucuates and it would depress me if it looked like I was putting on etc.
I guess it depends if you buy god quality clothes whether they tell you or not :d my cheapo new look jeans go way baggy after an hour or so of wearso not too great to tell
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Well I mean you can have the sandwich AND the salad, can you not ( mini bread HEB then (meat/ HEA cheese/)
I tend to have:
Couscous salad with radish, onion, lettuce, spinach, carrot, corn, sometimes add chickpeas or beans, and lean meat. Some people have pasta salad ( Im not mad keen on pasta salads)
Pagen crisprolls & cottage cheese or ryvita minis and cottage cheese
Spanish omelette ( slice of)
Packet of crisps eg french fries or some WW ones..... Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Don't give up copperjar, it will work if you stick with it. My take is that exercise can sometimes slow weightloss to begin with. It's frequently happened to people in my group, something to do with building muscle? And findingmyownway has a good point. Our consultant always says you need variety in your meals, range of SFs etc I've lost all my lbs doing EE so don't be afraid to try that plan.
:T on your 2.5lbs guns. It feels great to have a substantial loss. Almost all my losses were small ones but strangely the few large ones were after a gain or STS. (another point to consider copperjar). It meant I never got to be SOTW:rotfl:
My EE plan for today:
B: NAS squash, scrambled egg, tomatoes, mushrooms, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: sandwich (probably chicken), plums/pearbeef stir-fry with noodles
Syns: 0.75 in noodles:D don't want to overdo it!!
Copperjar I was just about to say the same thing as maman, exercise in my experience definately slows weight loss down, I actually stopped exercising months ago and started to lose again. I know exercise is part of a healthy lifestyle, and I wouldn't recommend stopping it, but if you do exercise you have to be patient with seeing a loss on scales. You will see, all of a sudden your weight will drop, but if you are sticking with the SW way of eating and going the gym, then you WILL LOSE, good luck, dont give up0 -

You will probably find that 4lb is just fluid, and will soon disappear, when you are inactive fluid tends to build up, drink plenty of water to flush it out0 -

Don't be weary with EE days, they are fab and they really do work, just as good as red and green in my opinion. I find the best way is to mix the days up equally through the week, confuse your body, don't let it expect certain foods. With EE you can have pasta in your salads. Have you tried the batchelors pasta cups, you just add hot water, they are lovely and filling, ideal with a sandwich on a green day, or as an extra on EE.0
