Hello all!
Hope everyone is well?
Had a funny day food wise so far - took food to work for lunch but forgot that its my duty day and I get free lunch. Eventually plumped for the mushroom and chick pea curry and rice - not a massive portion (school dinner!) but nice all the same. No idea of syns but the online thingy says 2 syns per 100g for canned curry so I'll count 5 to be on the safe side.
Not sure what to have for tea now though - maybe a packet of pasta and sauce but there's a frozen pizza in the freezer calling me - must resist!
So far have had 1 x Bchoice and 5 syns (?) and some free's. That WILL change!0 -
Today's food went to hell in a hand basket! Got a sparky in sorting our electrics so all electricity is off so I can't cook anything. Chinese is on it's way...... Sometimes you just can't help it.
Plus I had French toast with bacon and maple syrup and then cake for my lunch. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Mmm, french toast and bacon, yummy.
I' ve been fairly on the straight and narrow today:

L: dahl, rice and mango chutney, tomatoes.probably stirfry and noodles
Snacks: apples, HEA milk, HEB not sure.Trying to keep in budget.

I'm hanging on in there. Got a really bad back, dosed up with painkillers so feeling very sorry for myself:(
WI today and I'd lost a pound so I'm doing well staying close to target. Ended up in Toby carvery last night and the vegetable selection was carp so was forced to pile roasted parsnips and pots onto my plate!;) I don't think the syns have caught up for that yet!
Someone asked about recipes that don't work. I did a curry recipe ages ago from an old magazine that was useless because (unusually) it didn't have enough liquid in it. I emailed SW and eventually got a reply by way of apology and an explanation that they knew and were putting it right for a new recipe book. They also sent me a copy of revised recipe. Not very gracious but it made me feel a bit better. Did you look at the recipes on here (see post 1). I'm sure they all work because we posted them!!:D
EE day:
B: NAS squash, HEB Puffed Wheat, banana, HEA milk + teas
L: HM vegetable and lentil soupSW chilli (with xtra veg), rice and sweet potato wedges
Snack: will try to have some more fruit to keep up SFs0 -
Hello all!!
Been a while just thought i'd pop in and see how you're all doing! My weight loss has been slow but I have managed to lose a few lbs since booking my wedding (been hanging around the wedding forum lately!) But just been 'doing my own thing' which is not always very successful!! Lol
Got about 5 months to lose at least a stone and thinking about getting back into SW to really focus on my weight loss. Only problem with that is I love Nairns oak crackers for lunch, low gi, low cals, really filling, but they are synned on SW!!
Just gonne have a browse and read some of the latest posts for inspirationBetty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....
Why Put Off Until Tomorrow What You Can Do Today? :A0 -
Hello everyone
I'm thinking of hibernating WelshWoofer it has rained here for the last 4 days and was very windy for 3 of them too. Hope you are well. I steer clear of school dinners as I don't trust myself to choose a SW friendly meal. There is always salad, pasta and fruit on the menu but it doesn't cut it when all you want is the cheese and onion pie sat at the end of the counter!
I have had a green day today after doing red for 2 days on the trot.
B - rice pud made with mullerlight toffee
L - Cheese and Tom sandwhich (0.5 HEA and HEB) Strawbs and cherries with total yoghurt (marg 1 syn)
D - Cheese and Spinach cannelloni with tom sauce (0.5 HEA)
Snacks - banana apple
2 syns for milk at work so lots of syns left for later! I may have a meringue nest with total and strawbs for my pud yum yum...
I used quark today in the canelloni for the first time. I don't get on with quark at all I think you either love it or hate it and in my case it's the latter. However, I picked up a tub of M0rribobs own quark and it isn't as tangy. The result was lovely I have a potion left so may have to have another green day to use it up.Joined SW 15/02/10 Joined again 20.06.11 lost 11lbs
