T - butternut squash and sweet potato soup, onions, veg stock.

You need to eat more! You'll definitely feel meh if that is all you are having. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

is there a thread for SW recipes that didn't seem to work? and how you sorted them. We've made a couple but they weren't 'quite right'...0 -

Not that i know of, some people have commented that there are a few that are not quite right and just tweak them as they see fit (staying within SW principles obviously). A lot of recipes have too much liquid apparently. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Afternoon all - I'm one of those exhausted teachers - 2 days with kids now - roll on half term! I love my job really:)
Been quite good today so far....
Breakfast - Hifi bar (B choice)
Lunch - leftover HM sweet potato soup, apple and grapes
Tea - quorn sausage stew and HM wedges
Evening - pomegranate
Snack after school:o - choc biscuit 5 syns
So that's 1 B choice, no A's as yet and 5 syns down. Plenty of scope for extras if needed although I'm trying to resist. Famous last words......0 -
Had jambalaya for dinner and it was fabulous! Followed a recipe this time and it was better than my last effort - which though nice wasnt quite right. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Hi all,
Today (RED):
B: Porridge, milk, honey, raspberries (B, A, 1)
S: Peach
L: Wrap, Tuna in oil, salad, muller light (8, 2.5)Chilli, salad, ryvita, cheese (B, A)
S: Muller, fruit
Am craving a big choccie blowout.. don't know why.. am going to resist though! Am at the stage where I feel happier with my weight but still would like to lose a bit more to feel totally happy.. but cos I feel a bit happier it's more tempting to think 'f**k it' and eat loads of choc..! but then i know after i have a blow out i regret it.. need to remember that! sounds like there's a few of us needing motivation at the mo so please keep it coming! xxxSTS, STS, -1:), STS, -3 :T, -1:), STS, STS, -1:T, -1:j, STS :j (post-holiday!), +1:(, -1:), -10 -
Must try jambalaya as so many people have said that it's yummy. I really enjoyed my lentil dahl with rice - must find some more lentil recipes because I like them so much!
Have finished eating for the day here - will have a cuppa later when DH gets in.
I have a cauliflower to use up tomorrow - I'd normally do cauliflower cheese but I guess that's out with SW.
Anybody got sny good cauli ideas?Trying to keep in budget.

You can add cauliflower to your lentil dhal, either with or without the rice. Potatoes are lovely added to dhal too. Or you could make aloo gobi (potato and cauliflower curry) to eat with your next lot of dhal! I'm not a cauliflower cheese fan but I don't see why you cannot have it with SW. Cauliflower is free, the cheese can be your HEA and white sauce does not have to be made with milk, it can be made with water/liquid from vegetable-cooking, with some stock cube in, syn the little flour you would use to thicken it. I would imagine butter goes into the sauce as well? A low fat spread would be minimal syns. I would guess there's a recipe somewhere online, or someone here will know of one. you don't wanna be DEPRIVED!
ERM... I was a bit late heading home, was hungry, am gradually emptying fridge as going away for a few days, and the car slewed to a halt outside the chippy. Confession time: I ate all the chips except the hard pointy ones and I ate the fish, but only broke off a couple of bits of scrunchy batter to eat and my lovely helpful cats ate some of the remaining batter and the ever-willing crows outside gobbled up the rest for meOoooh it was a treat, the chips were gorgeous. It's been about a year since I popped in there, luckily the owner wasn't in cos he'd have given me a drubbing for reducing his profits!
:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Somewhere someone on here suggested putting a teaspoon of a favourite flavour into some quark and this takes on this flavour therefore cutting well down on syns eg lemoncurd or peanut butter. I am sure someone knows better or will tell me i am talking through my ####.
But I also agree that I would eat your days food in one meal and a snack!!!0
