  • Evening everyone

Can I join in please? I lost almost 1 and half stone with Slimming World last year and promptly put it back on :(

I'm following the plan online as I did before as it's convenient for me. I am on week 12 and have lost 11 lbs to date. I've gained and lost and gained and lost a couple of pounds for the last month or so due to going on holiday, birthday bash and a hen do. I don't go out very often so let my hair down and have had major wobbles but I've picked myself up and started again each week.

I have 9 pounds to lose to get to my target weight and I'm feeling as tho I will never make it. I need to get myself back into slimming world mode and hoped if I posted here it would motivate me to stick to the plan.

My food for today (RED) i'm doing the red and green days as I don't trust myself to put a third superfree on my plate.

B - Lean bacon egg toms cup of tea (milk HEA)

    S - banana small bakewell (5.5) colleagues birthday - couldn't say no :o

L- chicken salad (toms cuccumber, spring onion and lettuce) coleslaw (reduced fat) on the side (3.5) syns strawberries blueberries raspberries topped with a vanilla and choc mullerlight

D - beef mince chilli with grated carrots kidney beans (HEB) and roasted butternut squash

I had 2 drinks at work so 2 syns for the dash of SS milk - I dont take milk from home so always count this as extra

I will have fruit with FF greek yoghurt later if I get peckish. I still have an HEA and a HEB - don't think i'll use these today.

Sorry this has turned into a rather large post I was only going to say hello!

  • Hi all,

    Meals today have been (RED):
    B: Porridge and milk, raspberries (B, A)
    S: Peach
L: Wrap (8), Tuna (4? sunflower oil), salad, ryvita (0.5B) yog, strawberries
    S: yog
D: Chilli, salad, ryvita (0.5B), yog, fruit

Went to the gym yesterday for the first time in aggeeessss and managed to do a 40 min run which I was v proud of! And been for a swim today. Might try to gym on Thurs as well. Not sure if this will help my losses this week though as read on here (or minimins) that exercise can slow losses down initially.. ah well will try hard not too be too gutted if the scales aren't kind on Friday!

Not had a great day today, SW wise.
B: 1 weetabix and banana and milk.
L: salad, chicken breast slice of HM bread.
D: potatoes rissoles, HM fried chicken and broccoli.
Snacks : banana chocolate wafer biscuits.

TBH the syns in the oil used for cooking the chicken and potatoes alone must be high and then wafer biscuits (3) too!! We all just wanted a but of 'nursery' food.

In compensation I did do some exercise today - interval training so that will have helped. Anyway, back on the wagon again tomorrow.
    Trying to keep in budget.

just as I find myself getting completely focused to be on plan and curb those syns, I find out that my class time is changing.

Currently its 6pm - but its changing to 7.30pm. I feel very :( about it. I like my class at its current time and I don't know what to do ?

I like my group and the people so I am not keen on joining a different group and this would not be practical in the long term.

I like the motivation the weekly group gives me? I know my options are threefold - grin and bear it, leave or do online membership ? All have their pros and cons ?

I would be interested to know what time you attend a group if you go to the weekly meetings ?

I can't imagine getting in from class at 9pm gone and then having to cook tea. I have always gone straight from work and do not relish the prospect of getting in from work then having to head out in the dark and cold to go to class. I should add we are getting a new consultant but this doesn't explain the reasoning behind the time change ? should I complain ?

    What would you do ?

    L - Bacon, 4 (yes 4! LOL) eat smart sausages (2), mushrooms, 1tbsp woodsmoked bbq sauce (1)

Scorpiod, to me that looks like a tiny amount of food!

Our class starts WI at 7 pm and the talking/clapping bit at 7.30, we wind up at 8.30 which is when I've arranged my tandoori mixed grill takeaway to be ready for! It does last me 2 days, but I have it most weeks including when I was losing steadily a pound a week, so you don't necessarily have to cook tea (or maybe family at home could do the kindly thing and prepare something for you?) It may be that your new consultant has work commitments meaning she can't begin the class at 6. I certainly couldn't be home to make a 6pm class as consultant or pupil, it's a rush to make 7.30!
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
