    :j:j I WAS REASONABLY GOOD LAST NIGHT!!!!:T:T

    WooHoo!!!

I had 3/4 of a bottle of wine, but watered it down with soda water (I drank 2 litres of that!!1). I had crudites, low fat dips (and a handful of crisps). I have calculated that little lot to be 28 syns. Which I added to my weekly ones and divided by the week - it comes out to 12 syns a day which is not too bad.

I did get in in the wee small hours though - and have JUST got up!!!! So, I think I have missed Breakfast!!! Will have brunch instead.

    Red again I think

B - Omlette (with ham, mushrooms and tomatoes - I think)

D - Roast Beef, Roast Pots (HEB), Cauli, Broccoli, Carrots, Onion, Runner Beans, String Beans, Gravy (2), Yorkie (2), Horseradish (1??)

I have some HM Tomato and Red Pepper Soup, another HEB and HEA to use up. HEA1 will be milk for coffees

So, Sgt Major Tank Driver - the fairies did not breach the tank walls. I was safe and didn't fall off!!!! I am sooooo proud of myself

Did you have the rest of your HEAs? teas/coffees? 'Officially' if you don't have all your HEs you should syn the bit you have had.

Of course they are. I was expecting them to be SS but they're just normal SFs.

Had delicious free chicken curry tonight. A new WW (:o) recipe for chicken jalfrezi that was really yum! I think because it was made with passata rather than tinned tomatoes, the sauce was really thick and smooth. I adapted it with exta SFs but it was so much better than my usual SW curry where the sauce is always a bit thin and watery. Will definitely make it again.

    Recipe please!!

  • Morning folks,

Last night hog roast went ok. I stuck to diet drinks by agreeing to be the driver home and had no pudding. Avoided seconds too so although it wasn't the healthiest pork sandwich (whit bread, stuff, apple sauce) it wasn't too synful.

    Today's plan is:

    B: fruit and yoghurt
L: ham sandwich (HEB) with salad and fruit
D: 2 faggots (6), potatoes and peas followed by more fruit

Loads to do today with the kids going back to school this week but I am determined to get a weeks menu plans done too.

I am trying hard to adopt the mindset that unless I need syns as part of a main meal, (for example the innocent veg pot I had the other day for lunch or a bit of sauce) then syns can only be used post 9pm. Otherwise, I have chocolate syns in the morning and come the evening, I want that glass of wine or treat size choc bar but don't have any syns left. Inevitably I still have whatever treat it is I want and I end up going over my syns.

This is what I have to do with my syns FE, I have an 8pm curfew for my 'choccie treats' if I don't then I'm in exactly the same situation as you - I've eaten something earlier in the day but still find myself craving that little treat BUT with no syns left  It seems to work really well for me :)

Cottage cheese is free, isn't it? and I've seen recipes in the magazines that have puree in them but are still free.

inspirespirit, you can split the HEs. Like you say, I often have just one Laughing Cow spread in a sandwich and the rest as milk or today I'm having 1 slice of WW bread and 2 Pagen crispbreads.

I'll type up the jalfrezi recipe in a moment. I've no idea how to add it to the recipe index, so perhaps some kind and clever person will do that for me.

    EE day for me:
B: NAS squash, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: HM lentil and veg soup, 2 Pagens
D: Pork roasted on carrots, celery and onions with roasties, cabbage and cauliflower
Snacks: satsuma and plums;) the ones I've got left are so ripe and juicy now I have to eat them over the sink!
Syns: I will probably have a small taste of crackling and usual wine syns

    Chicken Jalfrezi

    1. Stir-fry 2 medium onions and 2 chopped red peppers with frylight until soft
    2. Add cubed chicken (about 1lb) and 1 chopped green pepper to the pan and stir-fry with until brown
    3. Add tbsp tomato puree, 2 crushed garlic cloves, 5cm piece of grated ginger, I chopped green chilli, 1 tbsp of medium curry powder, 1 tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp cumin, 500g of passata
    4. Bring to the boil and then cover and simmer until chicken is cooked, add seasoning to taste and coriander leaves to serve
Original recipe had a lot of faffing about with liquidising but I just threw it all into one big non-stick casserole. I also added sliced mushrooms and a few handfuls of frozen spinach to keep up the SF. It made 4 generous portions.

Not feeling well today [typical as back to work tomorrow] got a bad head. Hard to describe how I feel just blerghhhhhh.
Have decided to change WI to a friday as sunday is not a good day, never 'go' but am regular through the week so will see what happens weight wise. WI this morning ANOTHER gain but just .3 of a lb, on my old scales that would be a STS. I hope its just * week and fingers crossed it goes next week although that will only be 5 days.

Think I'll go have a lie down, feeling a bit sick now.
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
