Slimming eats is a FABULOUS site, i have tried loads of recipes from there. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

I know i shouldnt weigh between weigh ins...... but i do. I actually weigh myself every morning as i find it helps me stay on track. Well this morning my scales had a 9 at the front:j:j:j:j So happy.
Green today for me, quick question though. I'm making spag bol with extra lean mince instead of quorn - dont mind quorn for chilli but dont like it for bolognaise, not sure why?
Anyhoo, will be using the mince as my B choice. How should i work it out? As the mince will be in the sauce i know i get 71g cooked so should i weigh out about 100-120g of mince in sauce? I suppose its not the end of the world if i'm a few grams out either way!
Well done on getting into a new range/bracket. It's a lovely feeling! What I'd do with the mince is portion it up after it's cooked. So, if you had 500g of mince and made 10 portions (e.g.) then each time you got one from the freezer it'd have your HE/syns ready measured. I reckon that 500g would be about 7 portions to make it about right for green days.
On the HE question Owl, I'd just forget about it. It won't do much harm just this once. We had a stand-in consultant once who said you could ignore HEs if you wanted. When you think about it, they're really syns that are built into the plan to ensure healthy fibre/fat/calcium etc and there other ways of getting those (sardines, green veg etc).
Been for my first WI since target 2 wks ago and pleased to report a 1.5lbs gain. It feels strange being happy with a gain but I have had quite a few treats in the past fortnight. I'm going to do my meal plan later and will try to eat SW all week to keep on track.
Today's EE:
B: NAS squash, HEB toast, tomatoes, mushrooms, fried egg, HEA milk for teas
L: probably sandwich and fruitsmoked haddock, mash, peas and probably more mushrooms and toms

Morning all!
Well done to all the losers - some big losses this week!
Especially well done to Guns - seeing the "9" for the first time is a fab feeling isn't it! Mine's gone back to a 10 now but it will hopefully be 9 something again very soon!
I have visitors for the next 3 days and am trying really hard to stay 100% so I can lose in my first proper week back at class. But Mum is a proper food devil and thinks she's on 'holiday' when she visits and goes a bit bonkers.
So it will be a struggle but I'll do my best.
I'm sure that they'll want to go for tea so until then no syns.....
Breakfast - banana
Lunch - reduced fat houmous, cucumber, carrots, mullerlight, strawberries
Tea - who knows!0 -
I deleted part of my post as the product I was asking about is only available in the USA.
So far today I have had: RED DAY
B - 1½ tbsp oatmeal
Milk from allowance
sprinkle of cinnimon
L - Sirloin steak
2 eggs (in frylite)
'fried onions and mushrooms'
D – Minced beef
Jacket potato
Sugar snap peas
0% Greek yogurt Sf jelly crystals
Lots of plums (picked from work's tree)
I need to lose ½ stone to get back to my SW target weight. (9st -10lb) Going to do red only as works best for me.0 -
