I used to look around and see people scoffing icecreams, drinking alcohol all day long and raiding the dessert section and think .... "this is SO unfair". If I ate like that I'd be the size of a bus.
i feel exactly the same way pennylane! im slightly dreading summer if its warm!
maman: I was 14st 10.5lb 5 weeks ago, and i'm now 13st 5lb after this evenings weigh in. I dont remember a time (aside from childhood) that i was anything beneath 10st. At the minute i have an interim target of 12st 1lb, but we'll see. 9st 9lb just seems so little!I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know
On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!0 -

Thanks KM, so wish I'd stayed in bed instead of WI as gained 2lb  and now * week has arrived too. Got to lose it again before next WI as it will be my Birthday and I don't want my weight to take over the enjoyment [never enjoy Birthdays usually] of the day.
Anyway well done all you lovely losers, welcome to all the newbies and BIG HUGS to those in need. :A:A:A:A:A:A:AIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

TIE are you feeling any better off today?.. i shouldnt worry about the 2lb, its probably gone on because you have been eating very little. once you start eating again it should drop off no worriesI'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

Hey Ho, here we go again, week one has passed and I lost 4.5lbs woop woop.
Hope its a good weekend for everyone.Love your Mum, you'll never get another one when she's gone.0 -
Well folks, I've been lurking for a while, time to make myself known I guess. I joined SW in hopes of making lifestyle changes not just eating lettuce and rice all day. I have to say thats certainly worked. Paying attention to food planning has helped me kick start the rest of my disorganised life, it's reduced my shopping bills too, not buying pies and pizzas etc all the time.
Got my 1/2 stone award last week, and seeing as how we lost the car to engine problems I'm now walking 10 miles on school days. - Got to be good for the weight!0 -
Welcome shellieholly.
I haven't really been able to post this week, been one of those weeks that just flew by before I could even notice. I'm the only one doing most of what I do at work at the moment, so days are jam packed and me being able to eat doesn't always happen on schedule.
And can I just say I have NEVER worked anywhere that had doughnuts, muffins, cakes, cookies etc. for the taking so often.
I swear it's just to taunt me. :rotfl:
Anyway, I didn't give in once to the siren song of baked goods. So there is a serious NSV there.
I did however, give into a sneaky mid-week weigh. It said I had gained 3 lbs. and I was a tad shocked but figured it was my own stupid fault for weighing before WI which was this morning.
I lost another 1.6 lbs.! :T
I had a very slow week last week so hopefully this means it'll get a little faster now. I don't mind taking the scenic route, but there is a point at which it's a bit too scenic.
Anyway, sorry for the rambling and I hope everyone else had a great week.Started comping 24/08/2012.

lfcgurly - i have to say i do weigh myself once in the middle of the week between weigh-ins.. for me, it means i know which direction im headed in, and if its the wrong way, it gives me time to adjust it before thursday.. though i wouldnt do it all the time.
today i had spaghetti bolognese made from scratch (its actually now better than the jar stuff my father loves) and for dinner is a good ole fashioned baked potato with beansI'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

Hi all,
Just a quick post as i didn't get round to it after WI on monday, but managed to lose 2 and three quarter lbs, quite happy with that. i will admit now to having an indian takeaway on thursday, but hopefully kept the damage minimal as I had tandoori mixed grill and gave the naan bread to OH, I even ate the salad!!! (except the tomato and cucumber, which I HATE).
Going to WI in tomorrow instead of monday, that means it will give me 8 days to work off the excesses of Mothers Day tomorrow. Have told OH not to buy me chocs, but we will be having croissants for breakfast and wraps for lunch, we are going to have steak and SW chips for tea, so I'm hoping that it won't be too bad. (fingers crossed). Anyway, its mothers day, I'm allowed to treat myself!!!SW Journey Re Re-started 25/02/14
