    well done Magnolia!

piglet74 - when you get down nearer target losses do slow right down. i've always had slower losses because i don't have a massive amount to loose. everyone i know on it has had it slow down once they hit the 12/14 dress size bracket, with the last half a stone a right pain to shift.

could you try concentrating on speed and super speed foods this week? at my old group when losses slowed they would all make a massive vat of pea soup and have it once a day. all i remember from it was it involved cans of mushy peas, stunk the house out, you went round like a wind bag all week so everyone hated you but you lost the week after.

    thank you,

pea soup :D must google that and see!

i am doing a green day today, and again on thursday, (that will mean beans and toast, or boiled egg and toast for tea) and i will have stew tomorrow, im not sure yet about Friday,

but i do eat a lot of free, superfree and superspeed.

i will hang on in there and see what the next few weeks brings,

was just a shock, after being good...:(

but if someone had to say to me lat july, that i would have 5 stone off before Feb was out....i would ahve been delighted....so i cant let one wee 0.5lb gain but me off...

the scales were sitting bouncing from 13.0 to 13.0.5...and i was thinking....PLEASE LET ME STS.....but at the last second...just went to the half pound on:mad:

Im seriousley thinking about re-joining slimming world tonight...ive been at weightwatchers for the last 4 or 5 weeks...only lost 4.5lbs,and been quite hungry at times into the bargain, all that weighing and pro-pointing is a faff too,,I want to lose around 1stone,(im 11st.10 and would be happy/comfortable at around 10st 10,or 10.7.(im 5ft.6.5).).funny thing is,i first joined slimming world around 12years ago...my joiningweight was 10st 7,lost a stone in 6weeks in those days..Now my target weight is less than my old joining weight LOL,..But then again,I was also taller in those days..im sure i was 5ft.7...now im 5ft 6.5..getting wider and shorter...i feel as tho im condensing .lol
PS,i almost forgot,i did "play around" with SW leading up to christmas last year...totaly wrong time of year to join any slimming club, but my short experience with extra easy was intriguing,id only ever done red/green before.
    Slimming World..Wk1,..STS,..Wk2,..-2LB,..Wk3,..-3.5lb,..Wk4,..-2.5,..Wk5,..-1/2lb,Wk6,..STS,..Wk7,..-1lb.
Week 10,total weightloss is now 13.5lbs Week 11 STSweek 14(I think)..-2, total loss now 1 stone exactly
    GOT TO TARGET..1/2lb under now weigh 10st 6.5(lost 1st 3.5lbs)

Poor Piglet. But do keep it in perspective - it's a tiny half pound. In effect it's a STS, our weigh can fluctuate so much in a day. Maybe a perfect storm of TOTM, big meal last night? Bet you lose again next week.
  • I'm back!! Just done 25 mins on the dreadmill - first exercise I've done in over a month so feeling proud of myself. Tonight I have a party to go to so hopefully a bit of dancing too.

I've had a good day so far too but no idea what the food will be tonight - I'm planning on making some soup and having that before I go out.

Enough is enough of this STS, 1lb on and 1lb off, which I've been doing for the last month.

I'm with you MedMum. Tired of cacking about. My husband's BMI is now way under mine, after me having been much lower than him for a couple of years (he's now lost more than 2 stone since beginning of Jan). Nothing like that to bring out my competitive spirit!

Piglet - i think the pea soup had some of those beans you get from the supermarket that are dried and have to be soaked too. cant remember which but i remember them saying you had to plan when you made it because these beans needed to soak.

I've just made a proper spreadsheet with a progress graph on it like the website and mini targets i want to hit to keep me motivated. also did one for body magic and it seems I've enough for my bronze AND silver awards and I'm a first week of gold down :j

off out to cafe rouge and cinema later, got some free tickets to we bought a zoo. looked at the menu online and think I'm going to have the steak with salad with no dressing on it. saving all my syns for nachos and cheese :rotfl:

My DH lost 5lb this week because he was preparing for a colonoscopy! I have to have one at the end of April and looking forward to a great loss that week too! :rotfl:

  • I just got blood results back - the last lot were really bad and that was at the end of November before I started SW. The results are brilliant and although I haven't lost a lot of weight I know that the very healthy eating has a huge amount to answer for. I'm really proud of myself. My goal isn't necessarily to lose a ton of weight but to get off the huge amount of medication I'm taking.
