I haven't posted much recently but have been following the thread. I thought I'd add my two penneth worth re sneaky weighs.

STEP AWAY FROM THE SCALES :D

As tempting as it is to keep a check most of you know from experience if the scales say a gain how guttered you're gonna feel. I'm as bad, I officially wi Friday and record whatever scales say [this week +.5lb] but had sneaky wi saturday & sunday and have gained 1lb. Now normally I would be feeling guttered and depressed but have my not bovvered face on as I am going by my official weight not the extra gain [does that make sense?]. The point I'm trying to make is your weight can fluctuate from hour to hour/day to day so its best to wi ONCE a week to stop that depressed feeling where you might just say sod it and gorge. I know how hard it is so please don't think I'm being holier than thou, just because I'm at target doesn't mean I've forgotten how hard it is. I struggle big time to keep within target, I have become a binge eater. I really noticed it this week, I had a chocolate from the staff room on Friday and before I knew I had eaten all of one sort i.e. the coconut ones :o. For tea we had chinese [to celebrate ofsted being over] and I had a massive heaped plate of curry, rice, all the veg/salad from a shared platter of prawn toast, chicken sate with peanut sauce, spring rolls etc. Took me nearly an hour to eat it but compered to what son & hubby had mine was a real pig out. Hubby commented on how on earth I could eat it all. Probably why I gained 1lb over night :rotfl:
    I'm binge typing now :rotfl:
Sorry for the waffle will go back to loitering now :p
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

I think with the scales thing, different thing work for different people. I tried not weighing in between and I was a nervous wreck, now I weigh once or twice a week at home I feel calmer and more in control. If I'm a bit over it doesn't make me reach for the biscuit tin, it makes me really go for the superfree and bran the next day. Having said that I do really understand that what works for me, might be a nightmare for someone else :-)

I'm a daily weigher. Not gonna justify it, it's what i do, it works for me.

Had last night off plan and didn't really enjoy it. Had a burger before I started work as I planned to make something in the house but time got away from me. Felt really bloated and gross after it, did enjoy my chunky kitkat after my shift though, that was planned.

Hello folks - thought it was about time I checked in before it is 4 weeks before I report in:o

Been a bit busy around here but still SW friendly. No startling losses in the last 3 weeks but a total of 4lbs down all the same.

I am going on holiday in 8 weeks time so want to be at least 8lbs down. I have a pair of white jeans that I want to wear. I can get them on and fasten them. Walking is ok but sitting is a problem:D I can sit but I do find that breathing isn't optional :rotfl:

I have had some stuff on ebay - clothing that is now too big - as it was free listing weekend last week I put 19 items on. Took me all ruddy weekend to list them and all the ruddy things sold:eek: Spent all day bagging things up ready to post tomorrow.

(((hugs))) to all the ones who are stuggling and :T to all the losers amongst us.

Well that's me survived a dry weekend! I have had a busy week at work and was working yesterday too so by the time I got home last night I could have murdered a very large glass of red but I took myself off for a soak in a hot bath with a book for an hour instead!

I have stuck to plan all week and probably averaged 7 syns a day so we'll see what WI brings tomorrow though I have a sneaky suspicion that my G&T fest last weekend may catch up with me. I'm off for a half hour stint on Wii Fit to try to help the cause....

I LOVE my Wii fit, it's so much easier to fit in half an hour on there than going out to do something. What things do you mostly do on there? I like the step routines, and i'm really into the rhythm boxing at the moment!

I went swimming today, it was an effort to drag myself down there, but good once I got going.
I did 40 lengths (1km) as quick as I could, 31 mins, then another 10 lengths back crawl at the end - total swim 1250m 40 mins.

I do the step routines and I get cross with myself if I drop points so I do it again and again trying to get a perfect score! The rhythm boxing is fab - I'm knackered after the longer routines on that. To cool down I quite like the balance games.

ETA - Well done on the swimming BTW; I quite like swimming but our nearest pool is 15 miles away so we don't go very often - coupled with the fact that i am very self conscious in a swim suit!

I'm like that with the step rountines, that is the clever thing with the wii fit, you keep having another go to try a get a better score!

Luckily I have a lovely pool 5 minutes away, the membership is expensive, but I decided as I don't go out drinking I would treat myself. In the summer I try and swim in the sea a bit as well, which is much harder work. :o

Tesco do their own brand medium one, as well as mature, but not light I don't think
