mm, I'd stop worrying about your mince 6% (& drain off any fat) should be absolutely fine. Are you making a SW version of lasagne? Otherwise there are far more syns to be found in the bechamel sauce and cheese topping than in the extra 1% fat in your mince.

ETA: and don't forget the garlic bread!:rotfl:

I use an old WW lasagna recipe, made it the other day, using Extra lean mince, I used 180g of mozarella to make up the sauce and some for sprinkling on top, (so one HEA per portion)all I had to syn was the flour, butter and skimmed milk, its all at home just now so I cannot remember how many syns but it was not as many as I would have thought :D. Garlic bread with cheese (1 slice) 4.5 syns but oooohhh soooo worth it :D

Anyway, yesterday was my lovely DH's 40th birthday, he wanted steak for dinner and there was onion rings and pepper sause and wine....mars bar cake......yadda yadda.....disaster on the syn front, I consumed 43 syns :o, so I have only 24.5 left to do me until Tuesday night :eek:. Best get my walking boots on then eh?

    EE today -

B- Melon with Berries & FF Natural Yoghurt
L - Dyno Rod Soup, 3 Ryvita (HEB), satsuma
D - Pork & SW chips with loads of steamed veg
    S - Toffee Muller & banana
HEA Milk used for coffees throughout the day

I know it's not recommended, but I always weigh at home half way through the week, so I can keep an eye on things. This afternoon I haven't lost anything since Tuesday, despite sticking to it totally. Hope I can lose at least a pound before Tuesday. I've been eating scan bran cake, which usually helps, but not so far this week.

Hey hope everyone's had a good day. I've had an EE day today, don't think I've had my 1/3 super free though, I'm so bad at that.
    B- apple and strawberries
S- 1 alpen light bar (half HEB), apple
L- Savoury chicken rice (2.5 syns), a few grapes, low fat jelly (1/2 syn)
S-1 alpen light bar (half HEB)
D-Sw spaghetti bolognese (do the veggies in this count towards 1/3 superfree?) and cheese (HEA)
S- alpen light bar (3 syns), banana
I also had 2 teaspoons of Nutella this morning (Is that 4 syns or more, could only find syns for a tbsp online?). The children I nanny for asked for it on toast this morning and I really wanted to be strong and resist it but Nutella is one of my weaknesses

I don't think your superfree looks too bad, you have got plenty of fruit there. I try and have a 1/3 of my plate veggies for lunch & dinner, and through the rest of the day at least 3 portions of fruit.

As you say a 15ml tablespoon of nutella has 4 syns, a teaspoon is 5ml, so if your teaspoons were flat then about 3 syns for 2 teaspoons.

Thanks debsjc. Yeah I leveled the teaspoons off, could happily have eaten the whole jar though haha

    Hi everyone :)

This week I'm the poster child for "it'll come off in the end". Have messed about all month with little loss, ill, gain, loss and then this week lost 7lbs :j:j I know I wasn't good enough, but I think the medications slowed things down and it just dropped this week. I almost fainted :rotfl:

    1lb for my 3 stone now :D

Out for dinner tomorrow though (curry) and I have every intention of flex-synning it :)

Senora pie - thats fantastic well done you :T

I'm a firm believer in what you and other people have been saying recently - it will all catch up with you in the end - be it good or bad, it eventually catches up with you!!!

I've had a sneaky peak on the scales today (wi not till monday) and is only showing half a pound, so instead of our usual ready meals on a friday (I always have a low fat one:A) I decided that in the time it takes to do everyone elses ready meals I'd knock up a stir fry, so I got a pack from tecso and some chicken and added a bit of soy sauce and voila syn free ready meal and for pudding I had FF natural yoghurt with fruit, so hopefully should have had my superfree for the day!!

Could anyone please shed a bit of light on something for me, I've recently bought the free food book on ebay, and when I was looking through it, found that things like sliced beef in gravy, stewed steak in gravy, lamb shanks with minted gravy and one of those Go cook meals in Tesco with chicken, BACON and CHEESE were all free - could someone please explain how on earth all these (and more) sorts of things can possibly be free!

I hate to tell you this but that Tesco chicken with bacon & cheese has changed it's syn value since the book was printed, and it is now 2 syns per portion. I also love it, but for 2 syns I still have it.

The one that is still free is the Asda chicken in sun dried tomato butter, and that is lovely as well.
