  • Thank you,
Why not try to make some soups, butternut squash is delicious, as is veg soup, I throw just about anything in that, usually carrots, onions, celery, cabbage, sprouts, leeks and spuds, you can freeze it, that way your getting your veg.
Melon is a superspeed fruit which can be cut into chunks with strawberries and left in the fridge to pick at when feeling peckish.

Myself, I like ordinary plain foods like spuds, meat and veg, not into currys and such like, I like to know what goes into my food :rotfl:
Anyhow good luck, your target is realistic and achieveable.
I want to lose another 21 pound or thereabouts :j and hope its off for the start of summer.

    Thanks for the welcome.
I never used to eat breakfast at all, it's only been since I started trying to follow SW that I started making myself eat anything at all in the morning. My job is very fast paced and the day flies by before I even know it so I have to be conscious of eating lunch at all or I'll just work straight through. :o
I tend to be my hungriest at night for some reason so I get home and then pig out.

Welcome LFC. I would suggest that the reason you are so hungry at night is you're simply not eating enough during the day. I know about fast-paced jobs but you have to take a break and get a good meal inside you at lunchtime. Try at the weekends to do some batch cooking so that you have meals ready prepared for when you come home at the end of the day. My problem time was always when I walked in the house so I save my 2 slices of WM bread for then and make myself a sandwich. These days I work from home but if I'm out at meetings I prepare it before I go and leave it in the fridge so that it's waiting for me when I get in - that way I don't go grazing for other things.

So much about SW is being prepared - whether it's batch cooking or preparing your veggies before you go to work (even the night before) so that you just have to throw a meal together when you come in.

It takes a while to get used to the program so try out some different ideas to make it work for you.

Weigh in day for me! Hope I've lost, my scales say I have and my jeans feel looser, but we'll see later.

  • Stayed the same this week. Getting fed up with the small amounts and staying the same. Now sitting with all my books and mags and writing a plan for next week. Going to get back on the dreadmill and see if that helps.

I have not followed SW strictly as I haven't felt very good. Very dizzy so DS1 has made the meals. I do now know that weekends are my tricky times so I need to plan very carefully for them.

    Hi again,
I have 24 pounds to go to get to 11 stone, so I am hoping that before summer time I will get to goal. :D

I love soda farls, was brought up on irish soda bread, made every day with sour milk by my dad, absolutely yummy!!
Cabbage buttys, spuds mashed, boiled, roasted, chipped, any way I could eat them, in fact my dads pet name for me was ...... SPUD!

My daughter used to do irish dancing for about 12 years, she danced at the World Irish Dancing Championships at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast a few times, she was a beautiful dancer, very talented but gave up just before she was 16 to concentrate on her exams, she wanted good grades so she could get into Uni.
We have medals, cups and trophies galore. My dad died when she was five so he never got to see how successful she became.
I love my Irish heritage. :)

    i want my 16lbs off for 4th July....thats a year since i started....so lets stick together....and get it off for the summer!!:D

i love spuds :D my mum come home with a WW book one time...and i was looking thru it...and seen the quota you would be allowed for spuds...and i was NO WAY...how could i do that..SW was a blessing...unlimited potatoes :D

im about 40 mins from belfast...its lovely to watch, Irish Dancing...i have seen Riverdance and Lord of the Dance a few times...my own daughter used to do it too.

ahhhh what a shame about your dad, tho i bet you he has been watching her from afar :A

This is exactly what has happened to me this week. Only lost half a pound and I've been super good this week as I STS last week (although that was a miracle as I had 2 major blow out days when I had my driving test, I failed but I'd planned flexible syns for that weekend even if I had passed hehe).

On an average week I start the day with a synned portion of frosties for breakfast and generally have between 10 and 14 syns a day. I also rarely have my 1/3 super free on EE which I know isn't good but I've still been losing 1-1.5 lbs a week.
I made a real effort this week to eat 1/3+ super free each day and haven't gone over 5 syns apart from on saturday so losing half a pound is slightly frustrating I feel like going back to having a nice breakfast again lol.
What's SW success express? Your weight loss is amazing btw, if I ever need inspiring I will look at your sig :T

i think beign good all the time will catch up with you eventually...just like being bad..

i dont know about the rest of you who go to a class, but i have lost count of the amount of people who get on the scales to find the STS or even lost 1lb...and the say "wow...and i was so bold....thats a shock"....and then they will go home....be bold again...and come back the next week with a gain of 2 or 3lbs....so i do think being good works the same...it will eventually find you:D

Success Express is where you do 2/3rd SF Foods, as opposed to 1/3. you do find that you have fruit and veg coming out your ears, but it work for me.
The lifesaver with it, is that you are allowed 2 HE's. when i do a success express day i would keep one HE's for night time and have it in the form of a SW Hi Fi bar with a mug of hot chocolate, it really does help keep the syns down:D
