I know where you're coming from! I do believe in commending people for their weight losses and sharing ideas etc but if it's a large group it doesn't half go on.

I am very close to returning to SW (after my hol in couple of weeks) and this is one bit of it which bothers me. I stayed on to every single meeting because I think it's important but a heck of a lot of people didn't.

I think it would be a good idea to put all the names in a hat and just pull out 6-10 for discussion on the night. Obviously if anybody has any serious worries then they'd speak to the counsellor separately wouldn't they?

I have been going to SW for many years and image therapy has always been the same. I suppose thats what the slimming world law says ?! Even when we have had a stand in consultant, they have still done image therapy although sometimes rather than mention whether we have lost/gained, its just been an individual chat in front of the whole group / how are we are getting on etc

My group is lovely and I do like the sharing recipes/ideas talking about new products etc.

Another thing that's already bothering me (before I even get back:o) is what I call "tea-time" meals. I cooked loads of SW recipes and we all ate and enjoyed them. So on a Sunday lunchtime I'd do a lovely healthy roast meal, weekday evenings not a problem ... another SW recipe but it was times like Sunday teatime that I never knew quite what to have.

I usually ended up having crispbreads with something on while the rest of the family would have some sandwiches, crisps etc. and I got sick of the sight of them.

I need to have ideas in place before I start or I'll come over all gloomy again!

This week, I have tried to save my HEB options until the evening so that I have more flexibility. Its something I have never really done before (usually using both HEB options before 10am!) and I am really enjoying being able to have a chocolate (hi fi) fix without spending any syns :T while I settle in front of the box with my glass of syns (wine!)

I'm trying a green day for the first time today, so thanks for the advice.

Breakfast - 1 x scan bran broken up in, muller light vanilla yog, 1/2 a banana, 3 strawberries - all mixed up. The scan bran is part of yesterday HEB which I didn't fit in. I know I probably should carry it over, but it was only a few hours!

Lunch - Omelette with green peppers, onions, celery & potato and a salad .. very heavy on the superfree in the omelette.
    1/2 a dime bar (4 syn)

Snack - Apple & Low cal jelly (1/2 syn)

Dinner - Cheese on toast HEA & HEB and green salad - not sure is this will use both my HEA & HEBs yet. SW choc Mousse (1 syn)

Evening snack - More strawberries & 1/2 dime bar (3.5 syn)

This looks a bit odd, were they not exactly half then? If they were the syns would be the same. Also HE's are a use them or lose them item, they can't be carried over.

WI for me this morning and lost 1lb so happy with that. I am also happy that they let me out of Reception class this afternoon to go with Y4 to a tag rugby tournament. Was so impressed with our team who won their group games without conceding a try then won the semi's and the final. A fantastic afternoon was had by all [especially me cheering on the sideline, think my Headteacher must be thinking 'won't be taking her again' :rotfl:]

Well done losers and welcome to all the newbies/returnees, plenty of room on the Dizzy tank :j:j:j:j
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
    Keep the Faith All

    A whole Dime bar has 7.5 syns, so 3.5 + 4 = 7.5 :)
I could have written each one as 3.75, but that's more complicated!

I know that you can't carry over HE's (as I mentioned in my food diary post) but logically eating 1 scan bran at midnight last night, or 8am this morning doesn't really make any difference.

    stupid stupid useless Dongles

Ive been having all sorts of problems up at BILs this week getting on here :( It makes me log in twice.....then when I do eventually log in - I can read but not post!!!!!! grrrrr fed big time I was especially as I have had a truly crappy horrible week from tuesday onwards :(

My lovely MrD is back in hospital  he had is operation 4 weeks ago.... and ive been elling him since the stitches started dissolving (he cant see the wound as its on his spine) that it looked like it wasnt quite 'knitted together' at the bottom and it started looking VERy fiery - but he said it didn't hurt and just told me to keep wiping with the salt water :( (sodding stubborn git)

so over a week ago I forced him to the docs who gave him antib's and cream .....still it got worse, went back to the doc tues and he sent him straight to the neuro ward where they took one look and arranged an emergency MRI to see how deep this infection has gone, put him on 2g every 2 hour of antib's intavenously and some stuff in his nose to treat bacteria then prepped him on nil by mouth for surgery the next morning when they opened the Operation site to do a 'wash out' :(

hes still on the IV antib's and they keep checking his blood to see where they are with the infection....but its a pretty serious thing by all accounts, and I'm really annoyed with myself now that I didn't force him sooner to go to the docs :(

diet wise - I did ok I suppose, other than not eat nearly enough, its just last night I had 2 white t-cakes that was all my sis in law has and 2 choccy biscuit bars but I'll flexi yesterday and write it off.

sooooo today I'm back home from the doggy sitting (yes I'm still expected to do that:mad: AND when I got home on weds night from hosp one of them had eaten his coconut ON MY BED!! so the milk has gone on the quilt meaning that had to be stuffed in the washer, then I discovered a pile of doggy diahorrea near the door:eek: how lovely! put me right off my beans on toast that I'd been looking forward to all day :o

I'll stop whinging now ;) just needed to get it off my chest I think :A:rotfl:

    bye for now folks....have a good day x x

Not had a bad week so far though I have had 3 evening meetings with work; Buffets were provided at each meeting but I avoided them as the choice was sandwiches or chips :( so by the time I got home at 11pm each evening I was starving but couldn't be bothered making anything so had a cereal bar and a yoghurt.

My main worry is that I haven't eaten enough this week.

Yesterday was a more normal day :
    B - banana& mullerlight
L - homemade tattie & Leek soup (tatties, leeks, onions, veg stock cube, tarragon, salt & pepper); Pear; banana
    S - pear & mullerlight
D - garlic chicken & boiled rice (chicken, onions, garlic cloves, chicken stock, salt); satsuma & pear.

Tonight we have a dinner dance for a club OH is in. Apparently dinner is a cold knife & fork buffet so I am hoping for cold meats and salad. I haven't had a drink for 3 weeks so I should be a cheap date booze wise! I have only used about 6 syns all week so I will use the rest of this week's allowance for booze and maybe some salads with syns in :)
    Mortgage Aug 22 £280,000
    Current mortgage  £28,000

  • Today -

B - porridge (HEB), milk (HEA), banana and mixed berries - lots

    S - apple and pear

L- ham salad ( lettuce, tom, cucumber, pepper, spring onion)
    Activia FF

    S - apple and tangerine

T - chicken and a mountain of stirfry veg stirred with soy sauce.

Hope everyone else had a good day!
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j
