I understood JJ that the problem was if we cooked the fruit then it's syned. I don't think there is a problem if you liquidize it.Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
I was told that years ago - but haven't been told it recently, but the theory is if you muck about with it it's going to have syns in it!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0

But something keeps niggling at the back of my mind about having to eat fruit whole, not liquidised, and I can't find anything about it in the book. Has anyone else heard this or am I making it up? Too late now cos it's all gone, just wondering if I should be synning it. Any ideas?
I think technically you should syn the smoothie as pureed fruit should be syned. Something to do with being able to consume much more fruit when blitzed than you would if you ate the whole fruit. The same with juicing i.e. you could drink the juice of 5 or 6 oranges but would you normally eat 5 or 6 oranges? Not sure how many blueberries you had to make a smoothie but would you have normally eaten that many in one sitting? If you would then I wouldn't syn the smoothie. If its a one off I wouldn't syn it either. Its that grey area which often ends up in [STRIKE]argument[/STRIKE] discussion, to syn or not to syn that is the question. Personally I wouldn't.
Hope that helpsIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Brain picking time! We're taking DS and his GF out for a meal on Sunday, and they usually choose to go to either Bella Italia or Nandos. Any suggestions for the best choices in either of these please?Oh dear, here we go again.0

Hello all. Sorry for radio silence. I need some motivation. I'm just muppeting around, doing the diet but then sabotaging it every day in the evening. Been feeling quite down about stuff and finding it hard to get a grip; even while my DH is doing brilliantly - he has lost 2 stone since the beginning of Jan and is starting to look really good. He has a stone to go.
All I need to lose really is a stone, so I should be finding it easy going. But I'm faffing and demotivated and sad. Just bought the latest mag to try and perk me up, but am hoping there might be some words of wisdom on here.... what do you do/make to eat to bring you out of a funk?0 -
Piglet that's fantastic, I'm very impressed! Just think, after next week you'll probably be able to say you have less than a stone to go.
I need to lose about 6 stones like you, and at the moment it seems so far away so seeing your loss is very inspiring, thank you!Oh dear, here we go again.0
