kandfs mam, that sounded like a brilliant buffet you went to. It bothers me when eating out that even the 'healthy' options are all ruined with dressings and sauces ot there's nothing available that isn't bread or pastry based. Well done on the loss. If you have a good week this week, maybe you'l get away with the g&t!!
Good to see you back mm and you did so well on your 'holiday'. Glad the SW consultant was so helpful. Is your mum with you? Did she start SW too?
I'm still drifting in and out of SW plan at the moment. Had shop sandwiches yesterday but otherwise syn free. WI on Thursday and I hope to be well within target range rather than dropping out of it.
I must admit to being a bit off my food. It seems after I eat my breakfast I start to feel a bit queasy and gurgly. As a result I don't fancy eating much or even drinking. I've no idea what it can be, never had anything like it before. I think I'll ask GP.0 -
well done to everyone who lost this weekjennyjelly wrote: »Brain picking time! We're taking DS and his GF out for a meal on Sunday, and they usually choose to go to either Bella Italia or Nandos. Any suggestions for the best choices in either of these please?
at nandos, you can have the corn on the cob for a few syns, the spicy rice is 2.5 for a small portion and the chicken is only a few syns too if you take the skin off.
at bella italia you'd have to avoid anything creamy or cheesy like the plague. a tomato based sauce and pasta is probably the best choice or a salad with no dressing on it.0 -
jennyjelly wrote: »Piglet that's fantastic, I'm very impressed! Just think, after next week you'll probably be able to say you have less than a stone to go.
I need to lose about 6 stones like you, and at the moment it seems so far away so seeing your loss is very inspiring, thank you!
Thank you so much :A
at the start i never thought of it like i had over 6 stone to loose, i just made mini targets,
even when i got down a bit, and set my final target, i set it high (12.12:eek:)....so im just 2lbs off that now...
i know i am more than capable of getting to 11.12, so i knocked a stone off it...i know 11.12 is still quite high....but i know i could maintain that....i started out at 18.1:eek:.:o..and my GP said "around 12 is fine"...so i think with the 3lbs leeway they give target members at SW, that 11.9 / 12.1 would be fine for me:o
good luck with your losses....this forum is unreal, all the help and tips...i would be lost without it.:A0 -

Hi JJ - when I went to an Italian restaurant a few weeks ago I went into their website before I went and made my choices (with the help of wonderful people on this forum). I had a large salad to start (from the main course list) and then pasta with a tomato based sauce for main. I didn't feel deprived and actually felt really proud of myself that I'd been so strong willed.:j at weigh in number 33 last nite I...:j
1. Lost 2.5lbs
2. Got my 5 stone award (grand total of 5 stone 1lb)
3. Got SOTW
4. Got SOTM
5. Am now 16lbs from target
Piglet you are awesome! So proud of you.Hello all. Sorry for radio silence. I need some motivation. I'm just muppeting around, doing the diet but then sabotaging it every day in the evening. Been feeling quite down about stuff and finding it hard to get a grip; even while my DH is doing brilliantly - he has lost 2 stone since the beginning of Jan and is starting to look really good. He has a stone to go.
All I need to lose really is a stone, so I should be finding it easy going. But I'm faffing and demotivated and sad. Just bought the latest mag to try and perk me up, but am hoping there might be some words of wisdom on here.... what do you do/make to eat to bring you out of a funk?
Sarah, you have every right to be sad and lacking in motivation after what you've been through. Don't beat yourself up - be good to yourself. You'll get back into the way of things but maybe you just need to give yourself some time and space to "recover". Hugs to you.Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -

No Maman she didn't come with me to SW but she's here with me now until Monday when she flies back. She's actually lost weight because I've been cooking SW meals and while I was there I was watching her a lot of the time. I'm hoping she can keep it up when she goes back. She's now back to what she was when she went away last year (and said she couldn't get back down there) so I'm proud of her and hope that she can continue.
Sorry to hear that you've not been feeling good. Maybe you need to change what you're eating in the morning. I know if I eat certain things in the morning I feel awful but if I eat them later on in the day they have a different effect. Hugs to you.Mediterranean Mum

Amazing! Well done you:D
Was it you that was taking orlistat? Or Alli? Or am I getting you mixed up with someone else? Do you still take it? Was wondering whether it's worth investing in it.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Piglet - well done doll, that is fantastic.
I have set mini goals as well as I HAD 5st 13lb to lose to get down to 12st (the weight I was when we got married 15 years ago) but now that's only 4 st 8lb :j; I am going for half a stone at a time so I should get my 3rd sticker & certificate next week - I have my other 2 certs stuck on the fridge in case I feel like picking lol.Mortgage Aug 22 £280,000
