Aw evilsquid that's a shame. Your area manager sounds horrible. We have a young consultant - she's 31 and is fab, I can text her and say I'm feeling wobbly or that my shifts have changed and I can't make weigh in and she texts or rings straight back.

Anyway, WI today......... 2.5lb off :j. My target for next week is to maintain as we have a dinner dance with a set meal and loads of booze on Sat night - mind you, I'll be a cheap date cos I haven't had a drink for 2 and a half weeks

    Hi All

I was a little "delicate" yesterday so didn't get on, hop you are all well and had a nice weekend, am on EE today

B - Berries & FF Yogurt, Alpen light (1/2 HEB)
Lunch - HM Chicken broth, 4 melba Toast (2 syns), pear, mullerlight, alpen light (1/2) HEB
    D - Mexican Bake (HEA)
    S - Apple

I need not to stray now from the list, left my sw diary at home, although, after the weekend I had, there is no point in counting the syns
    Good evening fellow slimmers!

Well as planned I went to the cinema yesterday to watch the Woman in Black with DD. Drank Diet coke and ate some wine gums whilst I was in cinema. Then off to Nandos. Had chicken breast in pitta with savoury rice (thanks for the helpful poster who gave me the sin value of the rice. And Peas. NO chips, No Coleslaw and No alcohol! Was very pleased with myself. Then as planned my Sister came home with us, where we demolished 3 bottles of Rose between the two of us. Not so good. Oh, also had a 2 finger kit kat, some doritoes and breadsticks, with BGTY roasted red pepper houmous and sour cream and chive dips. And two profiteroles. Not so good. Trying to be very honest with you all, as I am only lying to myself right?

This mornning had Beans on toast for breakfast. Roast chicken for lunch, lots of veggies and also a couple of roast potatoes and gravy, no pudding. 3 profiteroles mid afternoon (yes they are all gone now!) and just had 2 wraps with chill and the left over sour cream and chive dip. The sins are adding up eh? However I weighed myself this morning - 2 days early I know, but I appear to have lost 4 pound already. So decided to have some sin free days and lots of SF foods for next couple of days to hopefully counteract the picking I have done the last two days. Still haven't made a meal plan, in spite of my best intentions. However on Friday night when the wine was calling me I resisted the urge and washed all my make up brushes instead. God what an exciting life I lead.

So all in all good progress, but could(and must) do better.

    Thanks for reading x

My sister and I went for a late lunch (4pm) and I was having steak, NO CHIPS and salad and back home by 9.........reality was, I got the order wrong and ended up with chips, hubby came to pick us up and 9, I diverted him to the local miners club, so between us, 3 bottles of rose and 2 small 175ml bottles in the club, had a great time though, danced the rest of the night away, got home, like a burst couch after midnight  .

Sunday - mega munchies kicked in, I had 1 biscuit, 1 pancake, packet of walkers steak n onion crisps, rest of the day I stuck to SW though!!!! Am hoping the dancing burned the alcohol off :rotfl:
Its my DH's big 40 party on Saturday and I need to fit into that dress so I must be especially good for the rest of the week, I also am going to Edinburgh on Thurs to see Psychic Sally on the road, but absolutely no alcohol :D
i finally got a reply of SW. they've turned me down for consultant. ho hum. I'm supposed to be at WI later and its properly put me off going and even carrying on going to class at all. i think I'm going to just do SW at home. I think its because I'm not at target right now and that I'm noticeably younger than everyone else who works for them.

That is shocking, am so sad to hear that, thats age discrimination!!!

  • I must stop having these gaps in posting, I know posting helps! Stupid me

That sounds like a crappy experience, evilsquid. You should possibly write to someone higher up to complain about your interview though, that sounds so unprofessional. I'm a champion complainer :p

Week 2 of being super organised! Have cooked JPs for the week, made roaster veg soup, both for lunches. Also made rice pudding for breakfasts. Hai-YA!

Am going to cut sugar for a bit, I've lost my willpower so I just need to remove temptation for a bit. Bought some WW bagels today for 8 syns each, had one for my lunch with scrambled egg, smoked salmon trimmings and salad. Oooh, get me :rotfl::rotfl:

I put on 3lbs this week after two weeks away from group but I totally, totally deserved it. I'll possibly have another smaller gain this week, but I feel like my head is back on now and it's not just all talk.

  • Maman it was our area manager who interviewed me, the district manager was sick. she wasn't very nice at all to me. she kept going on and on about how i was the same age as her son. She also kept saying she didn't understand what i was saying to her about how long I've been with SW and where i was in my journey, despite having my old book open in front of her and the application form quite clearly saying my joining dates and weight loss. she admitted to not reading my notes and not preparing for my interview properly too.

meeting her has made me question paying for SW at all. i don't mind giving my fee to my consultant but knowing at least half of it is off to SW to pay her wages is making me think twice about it.

i wouldn't be at all surprised if i was turned down purely because she wasn't happy with my age and they were worried i'd start saying i don't agree and not just be quiet and toe the party line.

Doesn't sound at all professional to me - I would be asking to see the district manager at somepoint and asking why you weren't considered suitable - you should be entitled to some feedback...

In 18 moths at S/W I've had all sorts of consultants - and some were excellent and some were abosolutely DIRE! Goodness only knows how they got the job... We have been without a proper leader since early October and we feel more than a bit neglected. Our last proper leader was new to the job and we'd just about got her trained when she got an opportunity nearer home and scarpered.

  • i might complain later on. at the moment i just feel a bit deflated about the whole thing, I've had rubbish consultants and i know i'm better than them so i just don't get why i'd be turned down for anything other than silly reasons or my age.

my consultant has said she knew someone who got turned down and now has her own group and to not give up but i don't think i want to work for a company that evidently doesn't take people on just for age and is so unprofessional. also got me wondering if i'd had the interviewer i was supposed to have would i have got a yes? it could just be this one nasty woman who doesn't like young people.

the ones in cheese sauce usually carry some syns on their own because of the cheese, the cheesy mug shot does and thats made with water only. it might only be one syn as opposed to 4 though. does it have the calorie and fat values on it for just the pack on its own? you could plug that in to the syn calculator and see what it says.

slight change of plan for Dinner this evening. Having steak, rocket, oven cooked cherry vine tomatoes, mushrooms, red onion (yum yum) and strawberries for pudding.

Bought some Herring fillets in a mustard sauce (tinned variety) from Aldi earlier. Are they free ?

macpep1 - so glad I'm not the only one!

Sorry been MIA, DD has been in hospital so I have been waaaay off plan. Back on today though, first EE day in a while. Do mostly green but trying to mix it up.
    Breakfast 2 x weetabix(B), yoghurt, banana, tea(1)
Lunch chicken leg - skin removed before cooking, then smothered in hot sauce, mug homemade lentil and veg soup
Snack box of strawberries, tea (1)
Dinner Chilli, baked potato, cheese(A), big salad

Does that look ok? Not done EE for ages. Counting tea as 1 syn for the splash of milk, is that ok?

Sorry you didn't get the consultancy evilsquid.

I have just made some of the veg soup, it really does taste like Heinz veg soup. It was lovely, really tasty.
