  • Really struggling atm - had stomach bug week before half term - then DD2 got it - but she was sick on the Weds, then last Monday, then again on friday and then AGAIN today, so it's back to GP tomorrow and not back to school for her......

Then DD1 got it yesterday, but she also had a roaring temp with it which didn't break until 4am today!

Haven't been out for a walk since Thursday and am lacking sleep - and I am totally fedup!

Friday I had a crash and burn day!

We went to some friends for a meal and they cooked a curry out of Anjum Anand's book, it was totally delicious but was finished off with a pot of soured cream mixed in . They also made their own naan - again absolutely gorgeous but I could feel my zip straining!

Oh I forgot to mention the whole bottle of rose I had with it, the chocolate cake with rum & raisin ice cream for pudding - and the 2 bags of Wotsits I had cos I was sooo peckish waiting to go out.

I reckon Friday was at least 60 syns.

Then yesterday I decided to have a free day. Started off ok, breakfast lunch and snacks were all free, and I had dinner planned as a free spag bol. Then everything went wrong, I was out all afternoon until about 7 and DH ordered a Chinese. I think I got away with it though - despite the lure of sweet & sour pork balls  I had beef & mushrooms (4.5 syns) with boiled rice and NO ALCOHOL!!!

Well and truly back on the straight and narrow now, I don't WI till Thursday so hoping to undo a bit of the damage.

Hope most people have done better than me this weekend!
Oh dear, here we go again.

Thanks to Ruxpin on the MSE Grabbit board for this.
There is a scheme that gives you 12 weeks free at SW and an excersise class a week, its through the NHS, may be good for some on here who can not afford the classes.
To qualify your BMI has to be over 25, which I recon is all of us, thats why we are here : )

    Hi All,

Joined SW two weeks ago and at my first proper weigh in on Thurs I've lost 2 1/2 lbs so v pleased! Lost 3lbs myself the week before I joined SW so 5 1/2 lbs all in all so far!

I'm back to work tomorrow after having a week off so need some ideas for taking my lunch in to work; we don't have a microwave so it has to be 'cold' whatever it is. I'm on the EE plan so planning on having porridge for breakfast in the morn (HEB), whatever I take each day for lunch with fruit to snack on during the day and then dinner is easy as I cook from scratch.

I know I will get bored with salads so if anyone has any ideas on what I can take for lunch they would be greatfully received (to avoid temptation of the sandwich shop!).

Hi & well done for your losses over your 1st 2 wks! :T:j
there is a sw recipe thread on here that is full of good recipe ideas that people have kindly added that you could take a look at for ideas for lunches, some good ones are on there that are like 'picnic type foods' so they should be good ;)

Well done Dizzy for getting back to group, won't mention the  though. Fresh start and all that. As to BIL getting dongle, if he doesn't he better watch out for the Dizzy tank or it might just run him down :rotfl:. We NEED our Dizzy driver :A
