Well done you! Pizza will get me every time, so am admiring your willpower!

Me too. Got an email earlier from dominoes 2 for tuesday and the thought crossed my mind as i was hungover and tired. But knew it would be nice while i had it then i would regret it so got right back on plan.

Well, I've been to rejoin the class after almost 3 months away to find that I have put on 5.5 lbs:eek: - not too bad I suppose considering all of the turmoil that has gone on in this house over the summer (for those of you that don't know, OH and I have split and its now just me and the dog). And all just after I got to target too:(
I've also had 6 weeks off work and the lack of routine or committment doesn't help either.

So, its well and truly back on the wagon for me - I have set my new target at losing 8lbs - that would take me comfortably into the 9 stone something bracket - a realistic weight for me to be able to maintain.

    Today's food ended up being...
    Breakfast - banana
Lunch - mugshot, grapes, 3 ryvita things (B choice), 2 LC lights (0.5 A choice)
Tea - quorn lasagne (7 syns), salad
Snack - Hifi bar (B choice)
Evening -strawberries and raspberries and a dollop of choc spread

    So that's 2 B's, 0.5 A's and 7 syns plus choc spread - not too bad for a restart!

I'm sorry to hear about your cat Blackberry Rum; it's so hard to lose a pet; take it easy for a few days and treat yourself if you need to.

    Well it's my first week doing SW and I've lost 1 pound I had hoped for more as I've kept to my plan and well within my syns limit! Ho hum there is always next week and maybe I'll do better;

    Plan for me today

    B: Weetabix & Milk (HEB/A)
    S: Banana
L: Smoked Salmon & very low fat soft cheese on 2x thin slices of wholemeal bread (5 syns) with a side salad and fat free yoghurt
S: Cherries, Banana and Alpen Light Bar (3 syns)
D: Beef Strogonoff with Brocolli (not sure of syns)

Plus I have to confess as I was feeling a bit crappy about being good all week and only losing a pound I had a standard Dairy Milk bar :(

Nevermind, onwards and upwards and we'll see where extra easy takes me next week :)

thanks everyone for your kind comments, it's very quiet here tonight, even the two girl cats are subdued, and this ...
Blackberry, I just saw the post by scorpiod and it reminded me of the piece about the Rainbow Bridge. If you've never seen it, here it is:

    rbowx.gifRainbow Bridge rbowx.gif

[SIZE=+1]Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

... Consultant, nearly got me crying again. Sammy will be cavorting with his half-bro Micky who died back in February. We used to go for a walk up the hillside outside, round the wood with them racing to a tree to see who could climb up the highest, then back to the hillside when they would race down, zigzagging in and out of the bracken. That's how I will remember them both, in their prime, and that's where their ashes are going to be scattered so I can keep an eye on them from the window. Thanks again xxx

And in spite of being (kind of) off my food for 24 hours, I managed to increase by half a pound today. I am blaming the whole chorizo sausage I ate by mistake earlier in the week that should have gone into the couscous (and chorizo) stuffed marrow.

Welcome new people, good luck everyone, specially Welsh Woofer - you'll get that 8 lbs gone in now time.

Dammit popped back to say I meant to comment on Shala's bit about "fancying a sweet thing after tea". Oh those were the days;););):rotfl:
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

well in anticipation of weigh in tomorrow, I'm thinking of planning menus to see me through the week.

This includes having an unlimited supply of carrots/peppers/spring onions in the fridge at work so that I am not reduced to snacking on syns.

Planning on lamb shank tomorrow for tea with veg - not sure on lunch yet. possibly jackets beans and cheese on thursday eve and sw chips on friday eve. Might cook a curry or the like on saturday and steak a possibility for sunday. that only leaves a couple of days till weigh in. this thread moves so fast buts its all so motivating :j going to try and vary my healthy extras also and leave the graze box (due tomorrow ? weigh in day ?) that I ordered on a whim unopened or eat one nut a day ..... :rotfl:

Thanks consultant.. hope they taste ok

Well done on the losses h007 and bobbins (and anyone i missed):T

Bobbins? do you have two banana's most days? if so this may cause your weight loss to slow a little, something to do with the sugars in the banana's or something...

OH has put on 3lbs this week so he's going back to basics and writing in his food diary for the week. I think i'm going to join him as i can see myself straying a bit again this week - i can't stop eating - i blame the PMT devil!:rotfl:

I don't expect to lose this week, but at least i can keep a bit of a check on myself!

    Tomorrow - green day

    B - apple, yogurt, weetabix
    L - spaghetti hoops
    T - chilli(HEb), rice, cheese (0.5 HEa)
S - satsumas, nectarine, Alpen light (0.5 HEb) Velvet crunch (4)

Not many syns there but it's making up for the last two days!!
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

    Blackberry - (((hugs))))
Owl - well done on avoiding the Dominos :j pizza is my ultimate downfall!

I've been feeling a bit sorry for myself lately as I've been off/on SW, mainly due to not feeling well enough to follow it properly, but then I realised today that despite me only loosely following SW I am still 21lbs lighter than this time last year :D so that can only be a bonus. Slow and steady wins the race and all that!

    Green day:

b - oats (HEB), FF yog, banana
l - jacket spud, cheese (HEA/HEB), big salad, LD salad cream (1syn)
d - curry - sauce (7syns), cauli, brocolli, peas, onion, pots, sweetcorn, carrot - rice, HM riata (Ff greek yog and SF mint sauce)
    Snacks - fruit salad x 2,
Drinks - water, fruit tea, soda water, squash

    total syns = 7

happy with that, especially as I did the food shop today and resisted lots of stuff!
