Just been to Asda and Batchelors Pasta and Sauce and Savoury Rice are all on offer for 40p each (think Supernoodles are too but I'm not sure how SW friendly they are?)
I often make up a pasta and sauce the night before when doing tea and take it to work for lunch (just bung in the microwave for 2 mins). One of these and a bit of fruit makes a nice filling low syn (or syn free depending on the flavour) lunch - cheap too now!
ETA - forgot to say muller lights are on offer at 30p each too
Thanks for the infoThe fat-free (or 95% fat-free) Supernoodles are syn free but the others have varying amounts of syns - some quite high.

Sorry to hear about your cat blackberry :grouphug:. I love my pets to bits and have had my cat for 10 years now.
EE today, with an impromptu visit to the harvester in the middle, but I don't think I did too badly.
B: mullerlight, HEB bread, scrape of spread (0.5), raspberries, teas with milk (HEA)
L: huge salad with tiny bit of coleslaw (2), ribs (?), chicken (didn't eat the skin), jacket potato, corn on the cob. lemonade (4)bottom of the fridge veg soup (onion, swede, brocolli, leeks, cabbage & stock cube), kiwi fruit
So I think I should be well under my 10 syns, and have had more SFs than you could shake a stick at today. Also been on a 45 min dog walk, so that should help.
I always cook my chicken currys with all the veg I can find shoved in it aswell. My eldest son complains sometimes about there being more veg that meat, but it doesn't stop him asking for seconds. Last nights curry contained chicken, red onions, carrots, new potatoes, green beans, sugar snap peas, spinach and baby corn

Oh Blackberry, I am sorry about your cat - pets do have a special place in our lives don't they?I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Wow, I've just been away for a weekend and seem to have put on 3lbs. Over a weekend!!! I'm now convinced that either my scales or my metabolism is seriously wonky. I didn't drink any alcohol, ate 3 meals a day and went for a couple of walks. Ok, it wasn't on plan but I was eating less than I normally would have over a weekend and my weight didn't increse like that previously.
It's just because your body has become used to a certain way of eating and you will hold extra water by eating differently for a few days. Please don't worry, it'll be off again within the week.
Also, ditch the scales - weighing more than once a week is self-defeating and really doesn't give a true reading of how you're doing.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Blackberry, I just saw the post by scorpiod and it reminded me of the piece about the Rainbow Bridge. If you've never seen it, here it is:
Rainbow Bridge
[SIZE=+1]Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

OK, today is looking like this (EE as always)
B - Bacon, egg, beans and mushrooms
L - Pasta n Sauce (or savoury rice!) with hundereds of added veggies
D - Curry (lamb from roast on sunday, loads of peppers, onions and mushrooms and curry sauce (6.5 - third of a jar from Morrisons) Bhaji (2) and Samosa (3) oh, and boiled rice! (maybe a poppadom (2 maybe 4)
So Syns = 11.5 Not too bad, I was thinking it to be horrendous today...... (15.5 with poppadoms),and I only had 0.5 syns yesterday......
And I need to fit in some HEs, so I think HEA - milk in coffees, and HEB a weetbix cereal bar at some little snack time.
Owl x
OK, so it nearly went to plan, except I came in from helping a colleague move with the world's most horrendous headache, so had a bowl of LO leek and pot soup (from yesterday) and 2 pints of NAS squash, then fell asleep!!! So tea is now a frozen HM sweet pot and lentil curry with rice and 2 poppadums (4), which is better than expected!!! I now have enough for a curly wurly - medicinal of course!!
Owl x
Edit to add - Mr Owl is currently tucking into dominoes pizza - AND I haven't submitted!! Woo Hoo!!Children are born with wings .... Teachers help them to flyOne day your life is going to flash in front of your eyes.... Make sure it's worth watching!!!!!0 -
