It's interesting how we were all smaller when we were younger, but never happy at the time!
I remember getting an airline job at age 20, and I just got into a size 14 uniform. My calorie intake to stay at that size was 800 a day, with 3 hard gym sessions a week. At the time I always felt 'big' compared to my friends, but looking back at photos I looked fantastic.
Even on just 800 calories a day (for months and months) I never fell below a size 14. As soon as I moved in with then boyfriend and started eating more normally the pounds just piled on, and never really stopped.
*eta* Congratulations to Beki 88, and all the rest of todays loosers0 -

Not at all. I am the same, lose 2 stone easily, get bored, then come off plan and pile it all back on again. Fed up with the yo-yo factor.
lol, we are certainly very similar! Booze is my downfall as well ( especially red wine) but since I started SW have limited my booze intake to 1 night a week and it's been fine so far. In fact last week I had a dry week  but it was worth it and I lost 3.5lb. Might see if I can get through this weekend as a dry one too as we are out next Sat night and there will be copious amounts consumedJust watching USA Biggest Loser and caught the end of a section that had 100 Calorie Cupcakes:eek:
Quick google came up with the recipe and method. Most of the ingredients didn't look too bad so thought they just might make a nice celebration dessert
I wonder if one of you lovelies who can get online could perhaps work out the syns. Here is the recipe and method

With me it's a combination of reasons - I'm naturally inclined to fat, I do love food, particularly savouries, add in 2 babies and giving up smoking and I am what I have become! I was a 14 in my younger days too, always thought I was fat but looking back I was a lovely curvy shape with a waist.
I came across a very old diary the other day from one of the stupid crash diets of my youth, and in it I was agonising over having eaten an extra teaspoon of cottage cheese on a stick of celery. I was on starvation rations and losing 6 or 7 lbs a week bu I think I've probably never been less healthy.Oh dear, here we go again.0 -
Re the cupcakes, vanilla extract is also free (it's in half-syn cake as free)0

Hi everyone, I'm a late joiner to this thread!
I was a size 12 all over (except in trousers to fit my massive thighs where I was a 14) when I was 16/17 and convinced I was huge but now I look back and think how silly I was. I had a fabulous figure, no end of suitors and ate whatever I wanted. BUT I walked everywhere (sometimes 6 or 8 miles a day), skipped meals regularly and couldn't afford to buy a lot of food. So even though I ate a tub of Ben and Jerrys in a sitting I wouldn't indulge again for ages because I couldn't afford to!
I was chubby in my early teens and although I've never got as big as I was at 14 I am still a comfort eater.
Joined SW 5 weeks ago - lost 6lbs in 3 weeks and then put 2lbs back on in the last 2 weeks fannying about on the weekends going out drinking and eating crap to make up for it. Have lots of jeans to get into though so I need to get back on track for the summer!0 -

tomorrow is going to be a bad day, I'm off shooting with cadets and theres going to be a chippy run. i know i won't have the heart to refuse it so i'll have a really good brekkie and snack on fruit. then I'm off to a friends house and i know were having lasagne which isn't too bad but it won't be SW and the non SW ready meal ones get ridiculous syn values
Mrs Optimist - there is an article on nandos on the website. the chicken isn't free, the marinade has a syn value and they cook in oil so it says to remove skin and estimate a few syns for oil/marinade. corn on the cob is brushed with oil so it says estimate a few syns for that and spicy rice is 2.5 for a small portion and 4.5 i think for the large. the sauces are 0.5 per level tbsp. your prob still looking at under 10 syns for the lot thou if you have diet coke and don't touch the starters or desserts.
Cande - i think the food directory is about £7/8 and the other books are £3/4 each.0 -

I miss calculated on the flour - should have been 4oz so that would be 16 syns but if you spread 24 syns around the 14 cupcakes that should still make them less than 2 syns each.
Would make a nice addition to a celebration table.Mags - who loves shopping0
