Back on track now though but need a bit of midweek support between meetings

Looking forward to getting to know you all

  • Not weighing until tomorrow as didnt make class last night. Not expecting this week to be a good week but could be alot worse. Is TOTM and have had a couple of naughty days as been off work and have had family down.

I am avoiding the Dominos the rest of the family are having this evening and having a SW fry up for dinner tonight. Am hoping for a STS this week and am now well and truly back on track. Anyway at the moment I am weighing up whether to carry on at class or go it alone. I could do with saving the money and the time at home with the family. Was thinking I could weigh on one of the machines that gives you a print out once a week.
  • Thanks for your advice!

I always syn my milk because I only have it in one or two coffees a day. I don't actually like milk so would never have it on cereal etc.

Do you have to have 2 HEA's and 2HEB's - I did green yesterday and couldn't find room for 2 of each. Is it worth it or would you be overeating if you just eat it for the sake of it?

    Appreciate thoughts xx

you don't have to have them if you don't want them. if you force yourself to eat food you don't want for the sake of eating then its just extra calories that have to be burnt off by cutting back somewhere else or that might take you another class away from getting target.

i used to drink loads of milky coffee so i always got my one HEA with that. i only had the second if i wanted a jacket potato and cheese or cheesy pasta. i found i usually got my 2 B choices because i wanted the meat/potato options in the days before EE. i found red days hard because i missed the option of quick pasta or potato as a free snack so i did mostly green days with one red a week to have a massive portion of salmon with a few potatoes.

Hey everyone sorry not been on much, had a busy week and half!
Just wondering if I can pick your brains? Does anyone know a syn free or low syn pizza recipe? I thought about using pitta bread but it says co-op is HEB-B on EE but we dont have a co-op near us. Are there any others suitable?

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)

Last night was my W-I, but I was working a late shift so I couldn't go. I weighed on my own scales just after SW last week, and again last night and I had lost 2 or 2.5 pounds.... so I'm happy!

Then I went to a different weigh in this morning, and she said I had lost 4.5 pounds  :o

I think some of that is just switching from an evening WI to a morning one. I hope my group leader back at the original group isn't surprised if I show as maintain next week!

I would love to show another 1lb loss, as that would be my first stone, but really that's probably like a 3lb loss... might be too much in 1 week. :)

i used to get the packets of pizza base mix and then when i made up the mix i divided it up into 4 and quartered the syns. they were like the little kids pizzas you can get. i made my own free sauce too using the same principles as making a pasta sauce. then i used free toppings as much as poss and HEA serving of cheese. the asda mix is 14.5 syns for the whole lot so 4 servings of those bases are 3.5 syns. i used to make 4 up and then freeze 3 uncooked and they froze and cooked from frozen really well.

i make pizza bread too and use one slice of bread, free sauce and HEA cheese. one slice of bread white is 3 syns but you could use HEB wholemeal.

Sorry, a couple of things I forgot to say. Onken fat free yoghurt recipe has changed, and now has syns. :(

My mum roasted (with fry light) celeriac the other day, and it's lovely, quite potato like. If you were on a red day it would be a great potato substitue, and it's a superfree.

Has anyone cooked the ginger scan bran cake? I'm going to try it tomorrow.

our consultant told us that too, apparently people complained it had artificial sweetener in so they changed it to proper sugar. i wouldn't be surprised if they follow muller and realise they've alienated the biggest slimming club in the UK from their yogurt and change it back.

Beki.. you could try this http://swrecipestodiefor.blogspot.com/2010/05/dietgirls-syn-free-pizza-base-using.html

Uses wholemeal bread mix from Tesco - two Heb's for all of it.. i haven't checked if it's still correct for a while though so i'd double check the recipe for syns before you use it.

You could also try the smash pizza base or the scone recipe one.. these should be free on green/ee days..
