Magnolia, I thought I'd send you this as motivation for the white jeans! I treated myself to some last summer with a stripy top and it felt great. At this rate yours may be too big by May!;)

Now if I could look that good in my white jeans then I would be a very happy bunny :D

Not sure what size they are as they are the same style and design as another pair I have and am wearing now. Think they might have the wrong size in them and they should be marked as a 18.

Still at 5ft 10" and on the large man chart I am beginning to look quite good ;)

Magnolia - Congratulations on your loss today. I find M&S jeans often come up really small. Debenhams & New Look Inspire are more true to size for me, and fit my curves better. With the M&S ones if they fit my bum they are too big on the waist.

I'm still not sure what my target is, but I don't want to lose loads and loads, maybe 2 or 2.5 stone. My size 20 tops were mostly too tight, and I had started buying 22's and finding some 20 trousers too tight.
If I was a size 16 I would be very happy with that, haven't been that size for at least 10 years. Although i'm big, i am quite toned from lots of swimming, and I always lose the pounds from the waist and keep the big boobs and bum. :o

I've just made the scan bran Ferrero Rocher, although I didn't have syrup so they didn't bind very well. The ended up more like little crispy cakes. Going to have half Monday and half Tuesday as half my HEB each day, plus 6 syns each day.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend, and wishing you all lots of SW good karma and positive vibs to keep on plan, or nearly :)

Oh God, I am USELESS! I made mac cheese for the kids and OH for lunch and managed to resist temptation, having boiled eggs, salad & fruit for lunch myself. Then we took kids swimming and on the way back they decided they'd like McDs as a treat for tea (instead of a gammon roast ); so we went to McDs and I nursed a diet coke while they all ate lovely looking stuff!

All good so far - then I came home and binged on left over mac cheese ....... looking at the dish I have probably eaten about 1/6 of the original amount. God, I didn't even enjoy it that much.... so my syns today now consist of the ingredients for 1/6 of a mac cheese (10g butter; 10g flour; 100ml semi skimmed milk; 35g cheddar).

30g of the cheddar will be my HEA but the rest needs synned, grrr I am so angry with myself - especially as WI is tomorrow

  • Evening ladies. Well done to everyone doing well, and everyone holding on! I'm definitely in the latter group at the moment!

Have been missing for ages, but am FiNALLY getting over a couple of illnesses so I'm determined to get back on it. Have made soups today for all of my weeks lunches, roasted red pepper and squash, and spinach and garlic. Yum :)

Have also made a meal plan for the week, with tasks shared out between myself and my husband. Lack of organisation just leads to laziness, waste and bad food. So I'm trying to kick that from now on.

Haven't been too bad lately, but feel like I'm stalled. Had a talk with myself earlier though about my reasons for doing this and it's not the time to give up yet. I don't know what size I eventually will be happy at, but I know I'm not there yet. So onwards and (scales) downwards :) Have to keep thinking of my lovely shopping spree when I finally get there (am putting £25 for every half stone in a savings account, so have £125 so far :) ) and think less of how tasty the chocolate is  :rotfl:

Just had ryvita crackerbread and philadelphia light for my HEX. How I wish cadbury philadelphia were a HE :rotfl:

Don't beat yourself up, it happens to everyone :o but try not to think of yourself as "useless" because you'll end up feeling even worse. You aren't useless, you just made a bad decision in a split second. :A Sounds like it can be rectified to me :A
  • My food diary for today

Breakfast/brunch - big bowl of fruit, followed by toast (little bread heb) bacon (grilled all fat removed), tomatoes, mushrooms, scrambled egg, and beans.

Dinner - roasted guinea fowl, sw roast pots and tons and tons of veg, was very good and no gravy!

Have had two cups of tea so still have some hea milk left.

Hopefully will now not go stuff face of naughty stuff!

    Take care

Aw thanks Ammonite - I'm just really annoyed with myself as I vowed to have a good week this week seeing as I was disappointed on the scales last Monday, then I go and pig out less than 24 hours to WI.

Plenty of fruit for me tonight rather than a glass of red in front of the telly!

    Hi all,

I just wondered if I could ask a couple of quick questions of you lovely people please? We had a McDonalds the other day as we had a good report at parents evening :T and I went for the chicken salad (not the one with the bacon in:A) and was wondering if anyone knows how many syns are in the sauce you get with it as I think that would have been the only syns in it.
Also, when I was reading a receipe in a recent SW magazine, it said 'best ever Quorn sausage' and then said either 0.5 or 1 syn, my question is, have they brought out a new type of quorn sausage, or do they now have syns in them? As I enjoy having them as an alternative to normal sausages and hope that I don't have to start counting them.

WI tomorrow morning, I think I have been doing well and I may have even had a sneaky peek at the scales this morning ;), so fingers crossed.

    Hi Cande

    From the syns calculator on the SW website, it looks like quorn best ever sausages are now 1 syn;

Also from the website, the Grilled Chicken & Bacon Salad is 1.5 syns on EE & Red so I assume the sauce is the 1.5 syns as everything else should be free; It's 6 syns on Green.
