  • I am so very sorry Sarah, as Piglet said you are the most important thing at the moment, not how much you weigh. Please accept my most sincere condolences.

Piglet congratulations if I didnt say it before, I've just been skimming back through and realised I'm not sure if I said well done on your brill loss :D. And a welcome to Cande, I'm new as well, good luck to you.

I ended up going completely off the wagon yesterday going out for a pub tea, won't say what I had but suffice to say far too many syns.

    So back on track today-
    B-Alpen lights (HEB)
    L-HM spag bol
T-as planned yesterday-quorn, HM coleslaw, syn free chips.

I do understand it's a long hard process, although i'm new to SW I have dieted for 20 years. Usually I loose weight very slowly and last week just gave me hope that finally I how found a diet that was really effective on my body. Maybe it still will be, only time will tell.
If I hadn't stuck to it then that would be different, it would be my own fault!

I'll see your 20 and add 10! Believe me I know exactly where you're coming from. What's different for me this time is that I'm trying to tell myself that this is not a diet but a new way of eating. Because of all the years of yo-yo dieting I know I'm not going to lose at any great pace and it's definitely 2 steps forward and 1 step back for me but you know what if this is how it has to be I'll accept it as long as I can see in the long term that it's working and coming off. I've been losing big amounts one week and then gaining or STS for the next 3 but over the course of 6 weeks I've lost a stone and I'm happy with that. If I can continue losing at that pace then I'll have lost several stone by the end of the year. I think we just have to look at this as a long term project and forget about all these quick fixes that we've all done over the years - great losses but even greater gains at the end!

Just been for my WI and I lost just 1lb. After loosing 7.5lb last week it was so disappointing. I only expected 2-3lb, but 1 hardly seems all the effort. I've been on plan all week, and done a total of 3 hrs 10 mins excercise.

debs, only yesterday we were saying that our eating habits catch up with us eventually whether good or bad. I got to target by the famous 'scenic route' and if I look through my record book (which I do often;)) it's littered with STS, a few good gains (mostly holidays), some tiny losses and some good ones. If you just keep with the plan, you'll lose - probably next week.

mm, I was thinking that a plus side of next week is going to be no Tuesday mornings to sabotage you!! I expect you're getting excited.

    My EE plan for today:

B: NAS squash, HEB toast, mushrooms, egg and bacon, HEA milk for teas
L: blueberries, banana and piece of toast (stuff I need to eat up)
D: liver & onions, swede mash, peas, carrots, red cabbage, gravy

Sarah :( So sorry for your loss xxx take some time out for yourself.

Piglet - I am going to bear in mind your 3-pronged strategy when I hit a hard point and ensure I always go down the "do something constructive avenue". Think I will take my measurements now too, wish I had done it at the start of January when I started walking as I think my legs are looking a bit better despite limited weight loss. So if I don't lose I can try and focus on inch loss further down the line (hopefully).

Aiming to get to the 7lb in total loss this week. I am at 5.25 loss in total. Not much I know, but this past week is the first real determination and 100% sticking to the plan without the extra nibbles here and there. The positive here is that even though it is verrrrry slow, I have broken lots of bad habits AND the weight is going in the right direction.

Going to try and do Davina 8 times this month on top of my walks. That is the next exercise aim for February.

Last night on green I had a packet of Amoy Straight to Wok noodles (worth every bit of the 2.5syns), added 70g of cooked turkey breast (a la Bernard matthews turkey chunks), cooked it all in balsamic, soy sauce and worcester sauce and added a teeny bit of Chinese Glaze sauce (can get it in Sainsburys). For 4 syns and 1 HEB it was AMAZING! Tasted like a chow mein!

Never again is what I think as this is my 2nd proper time round at losing a large amount of weight. However, I'm yet to pass the childbearing age so I suspect this won't be the last food torture I experience (which hardly makes this time seem worth it :rotfl:)

    Hi all...

Debs - losing 1/2lb after a massive loss the week before is normal surely? Your weight loss will vary depending on the type of food you eat (pasta the night before always makes me weigh heavier), time of the month, water intake etc. Our consultant always said don't look at what you lose over the week, look at a month loss - this is more realistic.. and at the moment you've averaged 4lb a week in two weeks! Just read that back.. sounds a bit sharp.. not meant to be but i have no access to smilies!! soz... *insert smily face*

Sarahs - so sorry to hear your news ...

Guns - congrats on the full day on track, we all know how hard it is to do it..

    Piglet - great advice..

Hi ukbull.. welcome.. great loss for you in your first month...

So third day back on plan.. it's been tough!
    EE day today

    B - apple, yogurt, weetabix (2)
    L - spaghetti hoops, half a pineapple
T - Gammon, spicy wedges and BIG salad, jelly (0.5 Heb for oil)
S - crisps(4) milk in tea (hea) alpen light (0.5 Heb), satsumas
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

Shala Moo, can I just ask.... how are you counting the weetabix? Aren't they your HEB?
