beki, I think I read it as you're going to start at a group then take a week off for DD's birthday. You need to book that week as a holiday in advance otherwise you'll be asked to pay even though you're not there. Obviously, you could do SW by making different food for yourself and the family (lots do) but if you can make SW substitutes that your DS will eat then all the better.
Thanks for replying :) I will let them know I am not coming I do remember her saying something about holidays but can't really remember much other than they have to know before the end of the group.I really want to try to get us all to change how we eat but that's easier said than done so if that doesn't work I will do one meal for them and the SW version for me :)
Just a quick question with regards to lean meat not sure where to get it? I normally buy the extra lean mince from tesco, but everything else is normal other than healthy living mini chicken breasts, get some meat from butchers (normally beef joint and pork loin joint) then then lamb and a chicken from tesco.

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)

Hi Dizzy, many hugs to you... glad to see you back :D

So I tried the cottage cheese/smash pizza base last night - got to say it was quite nice. Not as good as pizza (obviously) but better than just using smash on it's own. Topped with HM pizza sauce, mozarella, marinaded quorn and onion.

Tonight i've meal planned for the week, ordered the shopping and used up all the naughties in the cupboard so they'll be nothing to 'cheat' with. I will stick to it this week.. i have 5 weeks till my b'day and 8 weeks until i have to go to a masquerade ball.. i need to shift some weight!

Good luck for the upcoming week everyone.

Beki, wherever you shop just choose the joint with the least visible fat and then cut off the fat before you cook it (give it to the dog, or chop it up and throw it onto the bird table or something!) If more fat cooks out just let it cool (or put the juices into the freezer for a short while) til the fat rises and solidifies on top, and lift it off.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

Was an angel today ! Wish everyday could be this easy!

I was a bit sad that I only lost 6lb in January but when I made a list of non scale positives I soon realised that althought the scales don't show it my fitness has improved, I snack less and I am in a better place mentally to do this. I reccomend writings yourlist of ur own positives. I then wrote areas for improvement in February rather than focusing on the negatives. Hopefully this will help when I'm struggling!

Lots of skinny vibes to you all this week xxx

  • Hi, I started back on plan yesterday but won't be going to my first group until Thursday. Can I ask what the HE cheese has changed to please?

    Thanks all!! x

i did a big post earlier on in this thread with all the HE changes on it. basically 28g has been rounded up to 30g with cheese and most of the HE have been rounded up to 30/35g servings.

i'm def back on plan tomorrow. DH and i are attempting to clear the house of booze tonight and we had top gear/being human dominoes. tbh, all its done is remind me why i don't eat dominoes!

Hi L&M, it was just the scone recipe that was posted here the other day...

Mix a tub of cheese and onion cottage cheese with 2 eggs and a packet of instant mash to form a dough and press out onto a baking sheet.. it was about as thick as a normal pizza base (not deep pan) then i baked it for a while before adding the topping on.

I find making pizza bases from mashed potato a bit sloppy and i can never pick the slices up. This one was a lot more sturdy!
