Oh, blackberry rum, that's so sad - it's so difficult to lose a pet after that long.

ell done Miss P, that's a great loss for you :T

From what I've read, and logically, making sure you get one third of every EE meal as super free is really important. It's only by filling up on loads of fruit and veg that you can get the healthy weight loss.

Good on you Welsh woofer giving yourself some attention - I find that looking after myself like that makes me feel so much more positive that I find it easier to stick to the plan.

That said, I did have a sausage roll today:eek: Anyone have any idea of how many syns that might be?

    So I ate
    B: banana, coffee green tea.
L: chicken tagine with couscous, pepper and tomatoes, fruit
D: fish pie and lots of veg.

    Snacks: plums, grapes, raspberries
    Syns: sausage roll (the shame).
Funny, I feel I ate more than that but I don't think I've Forgotten anything.

Another session with the exercise group tomorrow first thing - still stiff from Sunday
    Trying to keep in budget.

  • thanks Dizzikins. I have been geared up for this for months, or so I thought. But it's still devastating isn't it? hey ho, at least I can sleep in the bed tonight instead of on the floor with Sammy (and even saying that sounds traitorous)

WW sausage rolls are a nightmaresworth of syns, I used to love 'em but looked up the syns and whooooosh no more. About 15 if you pretend it's a small one, I think!
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

Hugs Blackberry rum xx we've lost a few pets over the years and its always heart wrenching isn't it.. but like Dizzy says it was the kindest thing...

Well done for a great loss Miss Piggy:T

I find the difference between EE and red/green days has to be for me watching my portion size carefully. I've had to learn what a 3rd of a plate full of veg/salad actually is rather than what i pretend it is!:rotfl:The first time i tried EE i had a plateful of red/green foods with a tiny bit of salad and thought i was doing alright - i lost 0.5lb in my first week!

    Food for me tomorrow -
    B - apple, yogurt, half weetabix (2)
L - couscous, grated carrot, onion, chicken
    T - spaghetti carbonara(3.5), side salad
S - velvet crunch (4) satsumas, milk (HEA)

Leaving some syns just incase i end up eating sweets again at work... and a HEB for the ryvita crunch i have if i'm in need of a sweet thing after tea..
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

It's not been a good Bank Holiday for me really, not counting the rotten weather. I just had to drive to the next town with my cat wrapped up and howling and fitting in the back of the car so he could be given a lethal injection, bless him, I've had him 17 years, rescued him as a feral and he taught me everything I know about cats and much about life (eg cats are better than men:o ) but he had renal failure and arthritis and this never-ending fit today just wasn't fair on him. I am sad and going over my syns with a big glass of wine cos Sammy never complained about my size.

I must admit to not having had time to read today's post except for yours BR. Sending you :grouphug:, it's so hard losing a pet.

I've had a surprisingly SW friendly day. DD1 was moving into her new house and we were busy all day. Had eggs for breakfast and a satsuma for lunch so they sort of balanced on EE. When we'd finished we went to a Harvester. Now some of you may remember back in the day when Harvesters had a Worzel Gummidge and Aunt Sally at the entrance, that's probably when I went there last:rotfl:It was a case of ' we're starving and need to eat' and while I wouldn't recommend it for a night out it had very SW friendly food. I had a chicken breast, JP, peas and unlimited visits to the salad bar where I was very good and only needed to syn a tiny amount of coleslaw.

I did have wine syns but considering I thought it might be pizza or a fish supper. I'm happy!

Hoping to be 100% back on plan tomorrow.

    'night all.
  • So sorry to hear of your loss blackberry rum, its been a year since i lost my precious baby and i'm still traumatised by it. He too had renal failure, i think it was the hardest thing ive had to do in my life, and thats saying something having nearly lost my own life and having had open heart surgery a few years ago. All I keep hearing about lately is death, and i truly am struggling to cope with it, I know we all have to go one day, sometimes I wish I could go first so i don't have to put up with the pain of losing people/pets. Big hugs blacks (((((hugs)))))

    Well done Miss Piggy!!! :-)

Just one more thing before I go bed, and try to sleep is anyone else having trouble with these tiny fruit flys???? We have them in work, and I keep finding them at home too, I don't remember seeing them last year or any other year for that matter, im wondering is SW's fault with all these blooming fruit!! x

Hi Copperjar, Not to sound patronising but 9lbs in 7 weeks is over a pound a week and a good weight loss. I know how you feel as when I did EE last year i was only losing half a pound a week and it is disheartening but stick with it..

Got to say my OH didn't lose any weight on SW when he was going to the gym every day - not a very technical person but your body must do something weird when you first start exercising:j and healthy eating because lots of people have the same problem... anyone know the answer to this?

Have you tried green and red days at all? sorry i can't remember your food diary posts. I know people lose a lot of weight doing mainly red days or even having a fishy week, lots of lean protein...:D

The only other thing i can suggest is portion sizes, i know this is a big problem with me. Are you stopping eating when you are satisfied/full?

It is hard going:(.. i'm still really struggling each day but as long as i'm not gaining then its a positive for me..
Thank you. Just noticed this post from earlier. I think maybe my body is just in shock from everything and wants some time to adjust! Zim not going to give up, a loss is still a loss, just frustrating when it's so slow! But 9lb is still pretty good.

If we want a treat sometimes we do a chinese "buffet" and make our own SW versions of chinese meals we enjoy.. i.e. chow mein, yuk sung, chicken curry, egg fried rice, SW chips, stir fry veg, pork in SW BBQ sauce etc.. we also save some syns for prawn crackers  To be honest i prefer this to the chinese takeaway because i'm tight and i don't want to pay £3 for some rice!! :rotfl:
hey any chance you can pst all the yummy slimming world versions of these? thanks x

Lovely day today here - hope you are all well.

    Here I have planned (EE)
    B: blueberries raspberries yogurt
L: ratatouille and pasta or rice
    D:chicken thigh casserole, veg, potatoes.

Snacks: fruit, maybe a bit of choccy.

I'm feeling a lot more energetic - think it's the good food and lack of sugar (well it keeps me motivated to think that)
    Trying to keep in budget.

OK, today is looking like this (EE as always)

B - Bacon, egg, beans and mushrooms

L - Pasta n Sauce (or savoury rice!) with hundereds of added veggies

D - Curry (lamb from roast on sunday, loads of peppers, onions and mushrooms and curry sauce (6.5 - third of a jar from Morrisons) Bhaji (2) and Samosa (3) oh, and boiled rice! (maybe a poppadom (2 maybe 4)

So Syns = 11.5 Not too bad, I was thinking it to be horrendous today...... (15.5 with poppadoms),and I only had 0.5 syns yesterday......

And I need to fit in some HEs, so I think HEA - milk in coffees, and HEB a weetbix cereal bar at some little snack time.
