part of me thinks it would be so much better to be saiyng "i was so bold last week...i was lucky to have STS"...

But its just that for the last 3 weeks....i have busted my a$$...and lost 1lb...

    i know overall...in 6 months i have lost over 4 stone...

but i dont want it to slow down from now to target, or it will take forever to get there!

thank you all for your support and kind words:A

Thank you Shala_moo. I think it should be good enough to keep me going. I would never normally have something as light as salad for tea, but I've got a rare evening shift at work so just something easy I can take with me. As for Hex B, I'm struggling to know what is allowed, I've read some cereals, some cereal bars and even some cans of soup-but I'm not sure which ones? Cereal bars and soup would be brill for work, but don't want to get the wrong ones. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any help appreciated!! Finally, last but definitely not least, congratulations sarahs999 :)

the book has 2 alpen light and one kellogs fibre plus bar as well as hi-fis for cereal bars. the website also has 1 sainsburys be good to yourself, 1 tesco light choices, 1 waitrose love life, 1 weetabix katy bar or 1 the food doctor bar for one HEB.

a lot of the others are as bad as chocolate! my emergency one for if my blood sugar dips while I'm out is 9 syns! (its nature valley oat and honey btw, avoid if you don't want to use 9 syns on it lol)

Piglet stick with it! my consultant was ratty with me when i only lost half a pound and said i suspected the gym. you could try one of my consultants famous SAS logs. i think theres a copy on the website somewhere.

you could always try mix to max as well as success express if you start to feel like you are drowning in SF food.

my old group also used to swear by the blowout day and god knows why but it seemed to work. lots of them could be really good all week and maintain or even gain but the weeks when they insisted on getting drunk and having a kebab on a friday they'd loose again the week after! if nothing else works you could always throw a blowout in and see what it does. one woman was stuck half a pound from target for ages and was doing success express with no luck and just gaining and loosing the same half pound but not shifting the last half. eventually she listened to the rest of the group, went away to a festival, came back and was at target.

    Sarah congratulations!! xx

debsjc - what is half syn cake please? Sounds perfect! Also, how do you make the quark and passata dressing? Is it a bit like seafood sauce?

Congrats Sarah, what lovely news. Hope it goes well. Can't think of a better reason to eat healthily!

Basically the dressing was 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of Quark, a teaspoon of passata, a pinch of paprika, black pepper, and about 1/3 teaspoon of artifical sweetener.

I'll try and type of the cake one soon, but its Quark, Eggs, sweetener & baking powder (syn) topped with fruit & fromfrais/quark/sweetener topping

Piglet - although I am new to SW I have dieted for 20 years, so I feel your pain. It is hard. There is no way around that I don't think. but you have done amazingly well, please keep at it. I bet it's just a plateau and you will suddenly start loosing again.
Could you try a new excercise for variety, like swimming or using a Wii Fit

I'm sure when you get over this hurdle it'll start moving again but like Evilsquid says maybe you have to taken on some drastic different measures just to see what gets you moving.

It could also be that the exercise is holding you there - have you taken measurements? It could be that you're losing inches just not pounds at the moment.

    Congrats Sarah :T

Debsjc - never tried meringue with sweetner but i can't see there being an issue.. just remember not to add the same amount in weight as sugar otherwise it'll be way too sweet!

Piglet, sorry to hear you still haven't lost. Did you try mixing up your meals a bit? Got to say your consultant doesn't seem the most helpful.. Are you measuring yourself - you may be losing inches because you're building up muscle doing resistance training, which wouldn't show as a loss on the scale.

I agree with Evilsquid, although i don't want to say it works for definite - but our ladies used to have a blow out day too.. only good though if you can stop at the one day!

Primmer - i'll try it as a pizza base on Friday and let you know - fingers crossed :j may do half the recipe with a HEb of wholemeal flour and see which is better...

Been awol last few days. No problems, just busy.

Sorry but there's no way I'm going to be able to read and catch up with news but I did notice piglet feeling down.:( I remember just how devastating it can be when you're expecting a loss but it doesn't happen. My weightloss was always up and down so all I can recommend is to give the various ideas a try but most important DON'T GIVE UP!!!!

I think I'm embracing the trying to get back to target seriously, even had a Crunchie last night! I'm not going to WI this week so won't know how I'm doing. I'm fairly SW today but I may have a chocolate bar tonight as a snack.

    EE menu:
B: NAS squash, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
    L: vegetable soup, banana
D: sausage and mash, peas and carrots, onions, gravy

Sausages aren't low syn as I'm using up freezer stuff while I need the extra pounds.

i have tried to mix it all up over the past 3 weeks now, and as yet, no success....

i am hoping the "success express" for 3 days this week helps.

has anyone tried it? any success with it?

the consultant isnt great now, i know 3 neighbours of mine who wont even go to that group, even tho its the nearest to us, cause they think she is "useless", and they actually pay £7 to go to a different group,

i give her a food diary 4 months ago, shes yet to come back to me,

she never texts or replies to texts, and if you fone her, she never answers,

tho i am of the mind, if you want to do it....u will do it regardless of who takes the class, that being said....a bit fo support / advice wud not go amiss!!
  • If I were you I'd report her to head office - why pay money for that?

    I AM SO DISAPPOINTED :mad::(

Despite being mega good, 70 syns in the week, lots of body magic.....i STS...i am so disappointed...i just cannot believe this....i dont know how i am going to get thru the next week....its going to be pure torture....i cant help but think.."if i didnt loose being so good, what will happen if i dare stray off the plan"...

i know i have to stick with it....if i dont...i will be back there next year...with it all back on again!

consultant (after initially being quite short / ratty "i am not magic...i cannot magic it off for you") suggested a few days on success express, so i am going to do it today, friday and sunday.

fingers crossed i dont throw in the towel....one on hand i am mindful that i have lost 4 stone 4.5lbs in 6 months....on the other....i have been very good all month....and its really gone from slowing down....to stopping in the last 3 weeks...

i am on xenical from my GP, I would have thought it would help. tho i am also on the depo contraception injection, so i dont know if its something to do with this.

i am just so down in the dumps,....a few weeks ago i started the weight band / resistance band exercises, and i really did think they would help burn the fat.

i just feel like this week is going to be a long one, and i feel so lost now,:(

How long have you been on the depo for, Piglet? I know when I was on it I put on 3 stone very quickly and found it all but impossible to shift any weight until I'd been off it for six months :( If you've only recently gone on it that could be a factor definitely. But please keep going, you're my inspiration :D As suggested previously, why not try upping your syns to the maximum, or having maximum one day and minimum the next. Shake your body up a bit in case it's got a bit comfortable.

I've made my first foray into dyno rod soup! It's bubbling away (in the slow cooker, not me yet!) as I type.
