Heading for winter with Slimming World

Rather pleased this morning to find that I have lost weight over the weekend despite the madness of DS's party food. Now have lost half a stone since the beginning of Jan.
Also have just found out that I'm *sshhhhhh* pregnant *shhhhh* but I believe that SW is the one doctor-approved slimming regime for pregnancy, so that's OK. I am of course excited but also realistic; I'm a bit of an old bird and I've a long history of not holding on to pregnancies. Hence, this is my sixth, and I only have one child
Anyway. I am just getting on and trying not to think about it too much. But it would be lovely if it happened....
Well done on the loss and *congratulations*. Sending sticking vibes to you, hope it all goes well xx

Forgot to say earlier - some fantastic weight losses! Well done ladies! :j:jlaurachick wrote: »Hi everyone,
Right, todays plan is
B-Berries and 0% total with 1 tsp on agave nectar (0.5 syns)
L-Pasta with homemade tom sauce (ive been told 1tsp of EV olive oil can be hexb?) and small grating of cheese (HEA)S-Superfree fruit if hungry
D-Quorn fillets with big salad.
S-Options hot choc
I will also use milk as my second HEA for in teas today and a splash in hot choc later
So hopefully that will be OK, if someone could let me know if I've not synned or counted something right. Thanks, have a great day everyone.
I think it's 1 tablespoon for a HEb of olive oil but i could be wrong???
You will also need to find a second Heb.... other than that it's a very healthy menu.. is it enough food for you so that you won't be hungry?jennyjelly wrote: »OMG I love peanut butter on toast. Really thick *drools*
Not listening... :rotfl:Prudent - cheese scones, ingredients 300g chive and onion cottage cheese, 2 beaten eggs, 100g instant smash. Mix the cottage cheese and beaten eggs with hand blender then stir in instant mash. Add salt and pepper. Put into balls and flatten and put in baking tray with fry light. Bake for 20mins at 180. I added a bit of grated cheese to the top. They are free on green and EE and if you add cheese that can be your hea.
Do you think this would make a nice base for a pizza? I was going to do grated courgette but i always find this becomes too bendy!
May have to pop to the shop tomorrow and pick up some cottage cheese.. and maybe look for the new choc philedelphia and mint mullers...

hi all
i've decided to have a week off - and see what happens
my food is so restricted now, i'm finding it really hard - and boring!
i'll still WI next week, talk to my dietician, and make a decision from there i think.
i'm just getting too stressed about it.
for brekkie i had 2 white bread & peanut butter - OMG it was good :rotfl:

Saidan I think the stress is probably part of the problem and that's not good. It's all well and good that this is a healthy eating plan but if it doesn't work for you for medical reasons then you have to find what does work. On most diets there is a recommendation to consult with a medical doctor prior to starting to make sure that the program is suitable for a person's particular body.
I say enjoy your week and see if you can de-stress and get your body back under your control and then see what happens.

Wow Sarah congratulations and keeping everything crossed for you. I would think that this is an excellent program for both you and your growing baby so hope that all works out for you this time and looking forward to reading of your progress.Mediterranean Mum

I'm sure someone mentioned meringue a few days ago. Has anyone tried making it with sweetener, instead of sugar?
BTW I made half syn cake for breakfast, and i'm stuffed, it was soooo filling! I dont usually eat egg yolks, because they give me a headache, but I risked it today.0 -
debsjc - what is half syn cake please? Sounds perfect! Also, how do you make the quark and passata dressing? Is it a bit like seafood sauce?
Congrats Sarah, what lovely news. Hope it goes well. Can't think of a better reason to eat healthily!Oh dear, here we go again.0 -
Thank you Shala_moo. I think it should be good enough to keep me going. I would never normally have something as light as salad for tea, but I've got a rare evening shift at work so just something easy I can take with me. As for Hex B, I'm struggling to know what is allowed, I've read some cereals, some cereal bars and even some cans of soup-but I'm not sure which ones? Cereal bars and soup would be brill for work, but don't want to get the wrong ones. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any help appreciated!! Finally, last but definitely not least, congratulations sarahs9990

I AM SO DISAPPOINTED :mad::(
Despite being mega good, 70 syns in the week, lots of body magic.....i STS...i am so disappointed...i just cannot believe this....i dont know how i am going to get thru the next week....its going to be pure torture....i cant help but think.."if i didnt loose being so good, what will happen if i dare stray off the plan"...
i know i have to stick with it....if i dont...i will be back there next year...with it all back on again!
consultant (after initially being quite short / ratty "i am not magic...i cannot magic it off for you") suggested a few days on success express, so i am going to do it today, friday and sunday.
fingers crossed i dont throw in the towel....one on hand i am mindful that i have lost 4 stone 4.5lbs in 6 months....on the other....i have been very good all month....and its really gone from slowing down....to stopping in the last 3 weeks...
i am on xenical from my GP, I would have thought it would help. tho i am also on the depo contraception injection, so i dont know if its something to do with this.
i am just so down in the dumps,....a few weeks ago i started the weight band / resistance band exercises, and i really did think they would help burn the fat.
i just feel like this week is going to be a long one, and i feel so lost now,:(0 -
Shala_moo. no reason why you couldn't make it into a pizza base, once it has cooked and cooled down it should be quite strong and therefore ideal for a base. Do let me know if you try it.
Sarah - congrats on loss and pregnancy, sending sticky vibes your way.
Laura - one kellogs fibre plus bar is a heb and they are yummy and give you a chocolate hit. Also think that 2 alpen light bars are 1 heb. Hope that helps.
Piglet - hugs please dont get disheartened, you have done so well. Sometimes your body does stall for a few weeks particularly when you have lost so much. When it happened to me last year I really changed what foods I ate for a couple of weeks and it seemed to kick start the kiss again. So for example instead of doing EE all the time I did a few green days and I also changed the type of fruit and veg I was eating and played around with my menus to ensure I was eating the same thing to often. You can do it and you will start losing again so please stick with it.0 -
Piglet - seems to me that you've hit a plateau which I believe isn't uncommon, especially when you've been losing so fast.
You have to keep with it and it will eventually start moving again. I guess your body is just adjusting to the new you. I can imagine how frustrated you must be - I would definitely be too.
Keep going Piglet I know you can do this.Mediterranean Mum

i am going to do success express for 3 days, one green day, and 2 EE days, keep up the body magic, and hope for the best.
i am doing 200 weight band stretches per day, 100 in the morning, 100 at night, walking between 2 and 5 miles per day, and one circuit training class a week, sometimes i change the walk for an exercise bike session,
i could cry
on one hand i know i have done well so far, on the other, i know i am nowhere near finished, but i will always know that giving up is not the answer, but its so hard today.:(0
