Thanks for the recipe FC, yours actually looks a lot nicer than the one on the website which is just frying butternut, red peppers & onions in fry light then adding veg stock, no spices. I think veges have much more flavour when they have been roasted so I'm going to follow your method. Will report back!

Shala_moo we have those sort of people in our group, two or three women in particular who don't feel anyone else has the right to speak and between them take up a good 50% of image therapy time. I'm not going to stop going but I might investigate other groups. Trouble is the one I go to is the most convenient time and place for me and I don't see why I should have to change!

    ETA did ok yesterday -

B - shredded wheat (HEB), muller light, banana
L - small tin of ravioli (1 syn) on WM toast (2 syns)
D - roast chicken (managed to not eat the skin - phew!) SW roasties, cabbage.
Snacks - loads of SF fruit, crabsticks. HEA milk in drinks.

    Today's plan -

B - shredded wheat (HEB), muller light, banana
    L - FC's butternut soup & WM bread (2 syns)
D - slow cooker beef stew with mash
Snacks - fruit & crabsticks (again!)
Oh dear, here we go again.

    hi all

i've decided to have a week off - and see what happens

my food is so restricted now, i'm finding it really hard - and boring!

i'll still WI next week, talk to my dietician, and make a decision from there i think.

i'm just getting too stressed about it.

for brekkie i had 2 white bread & peanut butter - OMG it was good :rotfl:

Morning all - we have a 21st to go to on Fri night (we are friends of her parents :o) so I am trying to be ultra good all week until then - keeping syns to a minimum so I can enjoy a good few Gin & Slimline tonics!

Think I might make my tomato & red pepper soup today - it was a favourite even before I did SW and is syn free on EE / Green :)

Good luck to all those WI today!

is there a difference in the fibre content? if one is lower than the other it might be you need to eat 3 to get to the required amount to class as a HEB.

Yes! good point the Pumpkin seed ones are 2.2g per ryvita, Sunflower seed only 1.8g

Basically though, as I like both and Pumpkin seed is lower calories and fat, I shall just have 3 of whichever I have open from now on!
If it happend to be the pumpkin seed one I'm just getting extra fibre for less calories & fat.

  • Hi everyone,

    Right, todays plan is

B-Berries and 0% total with 1 tsp on agave nectar (0.5 syns)
L-Pasta with homemade tom sauce (ive been told 1tsp of EV olive oil can be hexb?) and small grating of cheese (HEA)
    S-Superfree fruit if hungry
    D-Quorn fillets with big salad.
    S-Options hot choc

I will also use milk as my second HEA for in teas today and a splash in hot choc later :)

So hopefully that will be OK, if someone could let me know if I've not synned or counted something right. Thanks, have a great day everyone.
  • oh sorry, 2 syns for options hot choc i believe :)

Rather pleased this morning to find that I have lost weight over the weekend despite the madness of DS's party food. Now have lost half a stone since the beginning of Jan.

Also have just found out that I'm *sshhhhhh* pregnant *shhhhh* but I believe that SW is the one doctor-approved slimming regime for pregnancy, so that's OK. I am of course excited but also realistic; I'm a bit of an old bird and I've a long history of not holding on to pregnancies. Hence, this is my sixth, and I only have one child :(

Anyway. I am just getting on and trying not to think about it too much. But it would be lovely if it happened....
