I need to get my soup head on. Made a gorgeous carrot and lentil one from Mumsnet the other day which was delicious. Really can't be doing with salad on cold days, just seems inherently wrong.
Well, a bit of a disastrous weekend; managed to keep away from the party food on Saturday (son's 7th) but then started picking at leftovers in the evening. And also got a bit overexcited celebrating with choccie on Sunday. Never mind. Back on track today.0 -
I'm going to hold my hands up and join the naughty gang this week! After my undeserved gain at wi I have gone crazy and had a kebab, pizza, chips and 2 huge slabs of cake!!!!!
I am drawing a line under it and getting back on plan 100%. I might skip wi on thurs so I don't have to face the second gain in a row and that would give me 9 days to undo the damage I've done. I think it's getting close to totm, the dates dont add up but I've never fallen so spectacularly unless I've planned a flexible day. I'm guilty of doing what flat Eric (I think) said. I slip a little and think ooh I must eat things i might miss once I've got back to sw!! Last night my boyf offered to make me a sw dinner but I refused and ordered a kebab!!0 -
My motto this week is "this is real life". It's like Christmas - things/life gets in the way and we have to remind ourselves that this is for life so we just have to pick ourselves up and get back on the wagon and forget about it.
Do I get any prices for biggest gainer this week?????????Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
Med mum I have gained 4lbs too in the past 4 days but I'm hoping it's a lot of water from eating more carp food. My theory is a lb of fat is around 3500 calories so to gain a real 4lbs we wouldve had to eat a huge amount of food!!!!0

Hi everyone,
I'm planning to start SW tomorrow, and wondered if I could join on here? I suppose I'm not starting 'officially' as I'm still trying to decide whether to join a group or online, so this week just going to see how things go. Several people at work are on the plan so I have a general idea what I should be sticking to. I'm a vegetarian, and have been told the EE plan is best for me, as I don't want to have to weigh things due to eating a lot at work (12 hour shifts). I have always been overweight and have had an idea I need to do something about this for a while if I'm honest. However, I weighed myself last week and weighed in at 90kg. I am 5ft 6 inches height. My downfalls are cheese, savories like nuts and crisps, and red wine at the weekend. So there, phew, all cards on the table. I know I did not need to tell everyone that but I want to start being more honest with myself. I would appreciate any hints and tips (including which plan and meetings or online?) and if I could post on here for support, including my 'plan' for the day???
Thank you0 -
Laurachick if you are vegetarian then you would be better off doing the green plan. The ee plan is designed to let you eat meat/fish and potatoes/pasta/rice etc on the same day so if you don't eat meat there is no point. On the green plan you also get extra healthy extras (2 hea and 2 heb) instead of 1 of each on ee.
Good luck with starting. I've only just joined the forum but have been doing sw for 9 months and the guys on here are fab for ideas and support.0 -
Welcome laura.. I agree with Ditzen, you'd be better off doing green, especially with your love of cheese. I know there are a couple of people that are veggie on here, who maybe able to help, but their names escape me...
The SW website have a special menu plan for green days for vegetarians... http://www.slimmingworld.com/healthy-eating/vegetarian-menu.aspx#menu-buttons just to give you some ideas...
Right so far i've managed the morning on trackhope everyone has too.. xx

Hi all, hope you had nice weekends and not too naughty!
I did my home WI this morning and have lost another 2lb so that's 6lb in three weeks, and last week was * week too, so I'm very happy. I still seem to be quite close to 15 syns a day but if the weight's still coming off I won't worry too much for now. It's my birthday in a fortnight and I certainly want to have hit the half stone mark by then, but I won't be celebrating with alcohol as I hardly drink :A
I have all my evening meals planned out for this week (it takes a while as I have to be in the right frame of mind) and I'm off to Sainsbugs tonight to get 10 Mullerlights for £3 - looks like the best offer about at the moment.
Good luck this week everyone for staying on the tank!!!"...And if it don't feel good, what are you doing it for?" - Robbie Williams - 'Candy'0 -
Finally someone who had a good week - well done.
What date's your birthday? I'm also in two weeks, on the 15th. I'd wanted to reach one and a half stone by then but I'm going backwards at the moment so don't think it'll happen!Mediterranean Mum

laurachick as people have already said do Green if you are veggie UNLESS you really want to cut down your cheese because on green you potentially have 4 servings of HE cheese a day as it is an A and B choice and only one on EE as it is only an A and its a limited list.
the main point of EE was so we can eat meat and potato/pasta at the same meal without measuring one or the other.0
