I can't remember who said about freezing Cadbury chocolate mousses. But thank you, they're AMAZING"Empires are not brought down by outside forces, they are destroyed by weaknesses from within."0

Good luck tomorrow Saidan - didn't realise you can't eat fish/meat, no wonder it is boring for you
At least they are my salvation.
I had fajhitas too Flat Eric - they were lovely!
This week I plan to stick to the plan Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur. I pledge not to snack on the way down to my meeting. I can't stick to the plan on the day of the meeting but I can resist crisps and chocolates. I want to make this week the week where I go swimming for the first time in ages. The walking is going well but I feel the odd swim would be good for me.
January - I eased into the SW plan & walked 50 miles (didn't walk that many in all of 2010 &2011 i'm sure!)
February - Stick more closely to the plan & attempt to control eating when away with work as best as possible. Start swimming. Walk 50 miles again.0 -
I'm cross!
I was out today and needed some lunch so I bought a WW chicken fajita wrap, which I thought was a fairly safe choice compared to all the other lovely sandwiches on the counter. I kept the packaging and checked it on the syns calc when I got home and can't believe it was 15 syns! So that's my day down the pan.
Ah well, another lesson learned.Oh dear, here we go again.0 -
Hello ladies, sorry not been here for a few days, just read the last three pages as you've all been chatting for England .....Hi, ive just maid a pot roast slimmingworld recipie where you line the bottom of your slow cooker with your potatoes and veg, add the meat on top and add water couple fo inch above meat (beef in this instance) cook for around 8 hours, then remove meat to rest, serve veg, and make up gravey (syn free)
My question is, how come the potatoes and veg are still free in this recipie even tho they are cooked in water & meat juice, but if your made the remainingg juice for gravey you have to syn it?
I think I understand your question, and SW syns gravy when it is made with gravy granules etc. Personally I use meat juices (fat removed by putting into freezer for a few minutes) and boil them down with perhaps some stock powder or herbs, or with a splosh of wine that does have to be synned, otherwise gravy is (as far as I know) free - it's those horrible granules that have to be synned, they are after all flour and brown colouring and flour has to be synned.Hi all,
Well I warmed the prawns as I melted the cheese and I still seem to be standing
Lost another 1lb today so 6lb in total in January so far. I'm pleased with that as I haven't stuck to it 100%. However having stuck to it perfectly for this week, I now feel very determined. Lets hope I can keep it up!
As you've discovered, you will be fine! Most prawns have been frozen before you buy them from the shop anyway (sometimes there's one or two at the bottom still frozen as you will discover if you do what I do and buy prawns for a car-snack sometimes!)
Hope everyone's ok. Still no sign of Dizzy? She and Mr D must be going through a bad time (and Mr D's mother of course).
Oh, someone asked about salad dressing, one of my favourites is soy sauce, this is particularly nice if you have something fishy in your salad (smoked salmon, prawns?) Soy sauce is free.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Ah also meant to ask Kemo 2002 how much liquid was there after your slow cooker meal was finished? SW have a habit of advising waaaaaay too much liquid and I personally would have put enough water to JUST cover the vegetables and no more. Slow cooking creates its own steam that falls back into the food, I usually cook meat with no liquid at all. Let us know!:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

OMG :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
I hope none of you see what I saw this morning when I got on the scales - I actually can't quite believe it and I wasn't going to admit it here but I have to take the bad with the good. I've put on a whopping 4lb this week.
Why is it so bloody easy to put on and so incredibly difficult to take off????
I refuse to change my signature line as I'm determined that I'll take it off again this week. I had an excellent day yesterday and today is planned and I hope that the rest of the week will go as well. Hope everyone else is doing better than me.
