  • Thanks for the hugs medmum. I don't wear exactly the same clothes but I wear similar weight clothes if that makes sense?

I eat loads of superfree. I did red and green this week because in the past I've found ee increases the amount I eat in terms of calories and even on r/g I still do at least 1/3 superfree if not more. I'm hoping maybe I'll go next wk and have amazingly lost loads to make up for it!!

It just all seems a bit strange??

  • well doen to all you losers!

i went over my syns yesterday. DH came back from sainsburys with a crabbies, started swing it and realised it was 13 syns a bottle  would have been on 6.5 for yesterday without that.

i also saw on the SW syns online that diet ginger ale was free so obv he thought he was being nice and bought me a sainsburys own brand one. forgot that it was only the diet one and now I've got 4.5 syns a glass to count when i drink it. he blames me for "mumbling" about the diet bit. men!

Ditzen don't worry about it. 1/2 pound gains can be for loads of reasons. had you eaten a big meal that day and not gone to the loo? like med mum said, were your clothes different? also, you can gain weight at any point in your cycle, not just the week you are on. i used to get it the WI before rather than the actual week. one other woman in my old one had her * week down as two weeks before the actual one because that was when her weight went on.

    Hello everyone

I've just joined SW for the first time, after 20 years of yo-yo dieting. I'm on day 3 and finding it a bit harder than I thought. There is plently of food, but I think I am just adjusting to how things taste cooked with less fat and sugar. Hopefully I will gradually find more receipes I really like, and it will become a bit easier.

I thought I might this from the SW website, has anyone tried it and does anyone know what size tub is the 'large' fromage frais, 500g maybe?

We have a great tip for low-Syn toffee ice cream with a twist… Crush a 21.5g bag of Maltesers, and stir into 2 Toffee Müllerlight yogurts and a large tub of fat free fromage frais. Pop it in the freezer for a couple of hours, stir occasionally, and hey presto a 5 Syn sweet snack for the whole tub!

Ooh debsjc that sounds yummy. For yummy ideas try this blog: http://www.slimmingeats.com/blog/ I think it is amazing and doesn't taste like diet food at all!

I am going to make these biscuits today but without splenda and will add syns for sugar instead as I can't eat Splenda and ditch the icing as I'm not bothered about that. http://www.goodtoknow.co.uk/recipes/431597/Slimming-World-Christmas-biscuits I have made them before and made them the right size so that they are just 1syn each as sometimes that will do me really well with a cup of tea rather than 2 syns for a ginger nut for example.

So...sweet potato. Does this have syns on a red day? I was hoping it was free and I could use it instead of a real potato. Will be dissapointed if it isn't free!!

Damn and blast - I've been travelling today with work so stopped at a Tesco to grab something for lunch. Thought I was being good by avoiding the sandwiches and going for a chicken & spicy couscous salad tub thing instead. Had half of that (it was a huge tub (450g) and I was full after that) with a bottle of water and a banana, just got home and checked it on the calculator and on a EE day the amount I ate was 5.5syns.... so not worth it :(

    Hi All

Never got a chance to get back on yesterday, hope you are all well.

FC - My lovely DH brought my bag over just before lunch, I ended up having a special K bar for brekkie :o

    So todays plan:-

B - Melon, summer berries & FF yoghurt
L - Wholemeal Pitta (HEB), chicken and loads of salad
D - Bolognese with wholemeal pasta & going to attempt the syn free garlic bread and add 45g cheese (HEA)

Can someone tell me why the SW book states co-op wholemeal pitta, I have been having either asda or Tesco and is mature low fat cheddar the same as low fat cheddar or does it have to be mild :o

I am not weighing myself until Monday but its the TOTM and I feel bloated :(

counting wine for the weekend I will have 36.5 syns left to use between tonight and Monday, do I need to use them? Am not one of these I need chocolate type so don't know what to use them on TIA X

I suggest you give the spare syns to me and I will do you a favour and eat them :D Seriously though, you can have between 5 and 15 syns per day, if you don't need them I think I am right in saying you don't have to eat them all if you don't need them?

Hate it when that happens :( I am away with work next week and plan to have the 24 hour period 'off' slimming world with the intention of jumping right back on the minute I get home. I don't intend to pig out for the sake of it but just won't worry too much about eating a sandwich as I usually do. :D
