    MedMum try and put it behind you ( easier said than done, I know). See today as a new start and try to get back in the zone. You have done so well and been an inspiration to us all so try to keep going. We're all behind you :A

    I WI today as trying to make Wednesday my new WI day so weighing a day early each week til I get there.
    Anyway have lost 2.2lb and feel less bloated so feeling :j
    Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

    This week I'm really struggling as I can't be bothered chopping vegetables and I know I've sabotaged any loss this week!

    Last night I went to this damned wedding. I shouldn't have gone as I was on my own (DH is overseas) and because I was invited by the groom's side (whilst all my friends were invited by the bride's side), I ended up sitting at a table where I knew no-one and everyone else was sitting with their friends. I didn't eat anything at the reception but had two diet colas (I haven't drunk any diet cola for over a month). At the actual meal the first course was smoked salmon and some kind of salad with it but I'd stuffed myself with smoked salmon (it was on offer at the supermarket) during the afternoon that I could barely look at it! The main course was chicken thigh or steak and I had the chicken - it was served with 2 of the tiniest broccoli florets I have ever seen in my life (!) and some fried potatoes. I knew I shouldn't eat them but I did!!!!!

    Then dessert....it wasn't even good but I wolfed the whole lot down! I didn't even get up and dance as my back as been so bad the last few days that I was scared to chance it.

    Now it's 5am and I can't sleep (probably from the choc fest) and feeling really down on myself.

    Not particularly looking forward to the weekend as DH is overseas and I've been invited to friends on Friday and Saturday evenings to eat. Hoping my old plan of not eating the wrong things in front of other people will work for me!

    Sorry for the moan and hoping that I can get back on plan today and salvage whatever I can before Monday's WI. :(

    EEEK how brave are you going to a wedding all by yourself!!! Wow I'm impressed I wouldn't dare!!! ;)

    As TIE said today is another day - try to put it behind you and start a fresh, although If your anything like me, it will be twice as hard because you'll be tired after waking up at some silly time and worrying!!!:p

    Try to remember SW is a plan for life that we all need to play with to suit ourselves....and fit around our already busy lifestyles!! As a wise person once said to me (not too long ago and not too far away ;)) it is like having an illness and with all illnesses we need to manage it the best we can with the cards we are dealt! (hope this doesn't sound too preachy :eek:, it really is meant with the best intentions!).

    Remember how much you have already lost, how many people you've inspired and helped along the way and maybe you'll be one of those people who lose loads one week out of four but still lose more weight over the month than most !!! :A

    Good luck for today and even though it isn't national hugs day I think we should start an honourory one today! ((((((((((hugs)))))))))).

    Ooh almost forgot - chopping vegetables, can you buy them ready chopped or invest in a vegetable chopper? I hate chopping takes up sooo much time I may need to invest!

    MedMum - don't feel bad, today is a new day. None of us is perfect all the time and straying off plan happens just make sure you get back on plan today.

    A pizza got me last night :(:o (i'd already had a greggs sarnie as well - 430 calories!!!) disappointing...

    Plan for today.. make a meal planner for the next month so that we don't have another week like this one where we have nothing planned and fall off the wagon!!

    Well done everyone on the losses.. some great acheivements..

    I actually went back to bed so feel a little more lively now. Punished myself by making me clean out the fridge!!!!!!!!!! Now done and all back in orderly fashion with a couple of full bins along the way - disgusting!!!!!!!!!

    Just realised that it's now 12.45 and I haven't had time for anything but a banana. I still need to go shopping and today is early closing - everything closes at 2.00 so I better get my skates on.

  • Thanks for all the thanks to my first post the other day.

    Not sure what's happened but I went to wi last night and gained half a lb!!!! I've been completely on plan, eaten enough, had my syns and it's not totm so god know what's going on!! I showed my food diary to my consultant and she says it is perfect?? She said she will have a think and call me in the week with a plan. Has anyone else ever had this happen? The group last night tried to blame it on my lack of exercise through illness and there was a second c there (mine is pretty new so has someone helping her ) and she suggested that me/cfs can make it more difficult to lose weight. I have read this before but last year when I did sw online I never had any problems losing every wk unless I'd had a flexible day for a special occasion. The weird thing is my scales at home say I lost 3 lbs this wk and they are really accurate normally. Any suggestions anyone? I was thinking of doing success express for a wk but I know when I did it last yr occasionally it was hard to go back to 'normal' sw days and I got a bit disheartened (that's what prompted my month off for Xmas!!!!) so i don't want to go down that route so early on as I still have 8 stone to lose and I think se would be v hard to sustain for a long time.

    Sorry you didn't have a good result. Did you wear the same clothes as last week? Maybe because you are so inactive you need to really watch the portion control and really up the superfree.

    What about meds - maybe they are preventing you losing?

    Thanks for the news about the pasta. Oops. I don't usually eat it on red either but washing dashing about last night and had no potatoes to go with my BBQ bolognaise!

    Scales seem to say I've still lost 5lb since beginning of Jan, I've been excellent this week - no snacking at night all week! It is a miracle! Never managed that before! Ok had the blip with the pasta but it could have been worse.


    Salmon for dinner tonight, need to fins something good to do with it... Sweet potato maybe too, must go shopping!
