hi all
piglet welcome to my world  its awful isn't it - to know you have stuck to it and have a small loss........i've always lost small amounts but i keep telling myself at least it is going the right way and am loosing - i've 17lb to loose now and it is slow going - another 35 weeks i expect,
try- doing original for a few days, drinking more water, eating different things - upping your syns......few different things to give your body a shake up really.
don't be disheartened you will do it!
MM - at the mo the guy is just making takeaways for SW class - but i have a feeling if it goes well he will start serving the dishes at his restaurant too - in fact i have a birthday coming up so may book a meal there and ask him specifically for one of the SW meals on his takeaway sheet. :A
i'm going with a friend later to zumba  never been, i've got no rhythm so we will see!

theres lots of factors that effect not loosing. did you wear heavier clothes this week, eat before you went when you usually don't, not go to the loo etc?
i know its really gutting, i was like this last time i did SW, i stuck to steady 1 pound or 1/2 pound losses every week. it was annoying seeing people get 2 or 3 but if anything, i was just glad it was all in the right direction.[/QUOTE]
no, same clothes...as always....same food as usually....weigh in at 5pm..so go striaght from work....so dont eat til afterwards...
i will just have to keep going tho...i know that...theres no point in coming this far....and then stopping...
my mum was also mega good an she lost 0.5lb too, and another girl...who is always very good...and says she was this week....put on 1lb....she looked like she might cry god love her, didnt even stay for class....
so i need to stay positive, thanks every one :A0 -

i do 2 green days a week, and drink 2lts a day, i think i need to change my exercise routine a wee bit maybe??
i do my exercise bike for 15 / 20 mins 4 mornings a week, walk most days, anything between 2 and 5 miles (long walks on wkend) and one circuit training class a week...any suggestions? maybe back to the Wii?
upping the syns? can this work? not cutting back....but upping?0 -

Brilliant idea Saidan - how can he refuse!
I'll be interested to know what you think of zumba - I hate it but a friend drags me along every so often. Why do I hate it, cos I have two left feet and just cannot get the steps!!hi all

Piglet, how about trying the DVD that everyone was discussing yesterday - sounds horrific but might be the push you need or you could try the Success Express for a week and see if that makes a difference.
Good luck and you know we're all behind you.Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
cheer up piglet, you've not only got your RL group but us behind you as well! I had maximum 15 syns (or 105 a week) all the way to target so it can work. I think the advice to do something different may help to shake things up. What about increasing superfree (and superspeedy) foods? Our consultant always advises against getting in a rut by eating the same things every week. I think you've done amazingly well to have losses every week. Whatever happens, just hang on in there. Sometimes a decent loss can follow a small one.:)
jennyjelly, I've always written yoghurt (and porridge too). Sadly it's one of the many, many glitches on the SW website. It's a frequent bone of contention.
saidan, I think your man with the SW foods might be onto a winner! How enterprising of him. I'd love to see his menu (might give ideas for different SW meals) and be really interested if you do have a meal at his restaurant. Like mm said, more restaurants should be catering for healthy eating. It's so disappointing when salads are coated in oil, sandwiches full of mayo and so much deep fried. I did smile to myself that he's attending SW (I assume as a member) but there's an old adage 'Never trust a thin chef!'.
Slightly flexi for me on EE today:
B: NAS squash, baked beans, bacon, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: vegetable soup, bananaout for a meal will be a bit SW friendly but not totally (thinking of steak, salad and probably chips:o and a single glass of wine)
Back on plan tomorrow. I think I've gained a few pounds but hopefully still in target range.0 -
Hi All
Can I join your wee group for a wee bit of moral support. I have just started doing SW, I don't attend a class due shift working OH, I am not in until 6pm and have two wee ones to get sorted but a friend of mine has kindly given me his SW pack, he has reached his target now & I have got lots or recipes from scouring the internet and if I can't find syns for certain things that are not in the book, my friend google usually helps me. I have never really lost the weight since my DS was born almost 5 years ago and just want to lose around 2 stone to feel like my old self again as I am not comfortable with my self. I started doing the 1200 calorie a day diet using my fitness app (which was really good) and I lost a total of 5.5lbs over 2 weeks but I was starving, lethargic and feeling sick.
I always did eat fruit and veg anyway so that part doesn't phase me at all, I do however miss a wee glass of rose at night. I will just save syns up for a wee bottle at the weekend
.
I am doing EE and am currently building up a stock pile of foods, I have already cooked a few dishes and froze the leftovers, so I am getting there, just need to plan for myself a bit more as I already do a meal planner for the family to work with OH's shifts.
Today so far I have had
B - Summer Berries & FF Yoghurt & Green Tea
L - Wholemeal Pitta (HEB) with chicken & salad, LF dressing (1 syn), kiwi and an orange, green tea & water
Afternoon snack - Mullerlight & grapes
D - Chicken broccoli & pasta Gratin (1 syn) with glass of milk (HEA) followed by melon
Good luck to you all and your weight loss :T:T:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

Welcome macpep and good luck! Your menu looks great.
I empathise with your attitude. I can manage without chocolate or cakes or biscuits or crisps but I do enjoy my wine! I've always saved my syns for weekend wine!!0 -
maman - (i have too much time on my hands!)
syns are all per portion on EE....prices 1.75 single portion to 6.00 for a family of 4 soups, for mains 3.00 to 16.00. not bad......
tuscan bean & rosemary soup 1/4 syn
leek & potato soup free
plum tomato & basil soup free
roasted veg & herb pasta 1/4 syn
fresh salmon fishcake & winter slaw free
fresh mountain lamb & veg caserole 1/4 syn
chicken & pasta & baked veg free
thai chicken curry, coriander & garlic rice free
king prawns & fish in a rich tomato sauce free
chicken & wild mushroom risotto free
king prawn & mussel risotto free
butternut squash risotto free
so in theory one could order 5 lunches to have for work every dayhe is cashing in!!! and its only his 2nd week in class :rotfl:

You know what - if you work out how much you're spending on ingredients each day this isn't that bad especially for people who are struggling with what to take to work for lunch.
Brilliant - wishing all the luck with it.Mediterranean Mum
