  • Hi there,
just joined this site tonight, a few quick details about myself, I joined SW at the end of May 2011 weighing in at 17stone 8.5lb, was absolutely horrified to say the least!
So my first week lost 5.5lb, very happy with that and I have not looked back since.
One week I stayed the same, another week I put on 0.5:mad: for no apparent reason, but all the rest I have consistently lost and my total now stands at 4 stone 5 pounds, so hopefully Wednesdays weigh in will be kind to me and fingers crossed I can lose 2 pound to get my latest award of four and a half stone.
I have used the wii fit for an hours exercise each day this week and usually burn around 400 cals doing so, so I am hoping that this will help me. :D

WOW great weight loss well done :j
  • Thank you :)

Total loss = 5 stone 12.5 lbs. / But now GAINED 1 STONE 1.5 LBS!!

    46 weeks!

Hello and welcome gettingthere54 - your losses are amazing and to only have 1 STS and one TINY gain in all that time is incredible - most of us gain and lose the same 2-3 lbs regularly so I salute you!
You obviously have got to grips with SW so it would be lovely if you would share your menus with us please!
A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit!:rotfl:
Joined SW 13/9/10 - wanted to lose 56lb and lost 26lb! Rejoined on 9/1/12 having gained 17lb of my loss!!! :(
    Want to lose 50lb. 50 - 8.5 = 41.5 to go!
  • Hello teecee,
I have got a good incentive to keep my weight in check, I had a heart scare in July of 2011 and spent 3 months off work, I had to have a heart scan and an angiogram and have been told I have coronary artery disease which is heredetary, so its in my best interest to help myself.
I must say that I have not felt this good in a very long time. This diet has totally transformed my life and my whole way of thinking, I now eat to live and not the other way around.

My diet is probably boring to some as I am not very good at experimenting, I do not like chinese or indian food, dislike onions unless they are liquidised, so I mainly stick to toast with low low cheese on for breakfast with ham and tomato, porridge or weetabix.
For lunch I usually have a jacket spud with beans and salad, homemade soup, butternut squash is my favourite, veg soups, 5 bean chillis, for tea its usually chicken, potatoes and veg.
I eat lots of fresh fruit, sometimes 10 tangerines and 4 apples a day, and it has been known for me to eat a whole melon to myself in a day. You could say I am still greedy but its a healthy greedy, all within my limits. For my syns I usually have 2 packets of french fries each night and also a curly wurly.
I hope this helps and thanks, :)

Brilliant gettingthere! It's not boring at all - it's successful! And it doesn't sound in the least bit greedy - it's healthy with a bit of what you fancy on the syns! I hope that I will be as successful as you!

  • I wish you all the best on your weight loss journey, its very hard for anyone to try to lose weight, whether your motivated or not its damn hard, and sometimes even now I have to stop myself from picking a choccie or a sweet here and there, I just try to remind myself how well I have done and also why I got big in the first place.
As the saying goes: Nothing tastes as good as feeling thin feels!
I realise that I have still got lots to lose as I want to lose another 3 stone so its back on the wii fit tomorrow for another hours labour, ha ha!!
I actually like it now, says something!

Hoping that is a bit better. Yesterday was a bit of a strange day. I had a migraine and toothache and didn't feel like cooking much.

Much better Prudent, no wonder you didn't have much yesterday if you had migraine.:) Are you saving syns? I save almost all of mine for weekends.

a guy at my class owns a restaurant - and has put together a SW menu takeaway. we can order a few days in advance for the WI night and he will bring the takeaway with him for a person/family to reheat at home.
most of the recipes are free on EE - but done for you to feed a family of 4!
all i can say is Kerching!!!!!! he is quids in!!!!;)

What a brilliant idea! Does that mean he does SW friendly foods in his restaurant? I want to know where it is NOW!:D
