  • Well done everyone on all the losses. Went to Tesco today to stock up on some SW friendly things. Walked down the cheese aisle 4 times looking for Quark. The lady sorting out the stock did give me a strange look when I said in a loud voice "There you are!" to the Quark. I'm off to make some SW free (I think) cheese scones :)

Sounds nice RE - can you share the recipe please.

I put on 1/2lbs. First week and I failed miserably. My own fault, not the eating plans. Need to try harder.

Forget it Rummer and move on but you need to sit down and write a menu plan -it's the only way you're going to get it to work for you. Good luck for the coming week.

  • Just about to go to bed - early start tomorrow for my early morning Tuesday meeting - let's hope I can do better this week.

Here's today's final eats. I've drunk about 2 litres and just done 30 minutes on the dreadmill -

    Mon 23 January 2012
B-Banana; Mushroom, Courgette & Onion Frittata - HEA
    S- Strawberries, Kiwi, Persimmon
L-Tuna Salad – cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes, spring onions, red peppers, seasoning, 1 tblspn light mayo - 2
S-2 slices w/m bread, smoked salmon; Banana -HEB
D-Strawberries; Pumpkin Soup; Pasta with Tomato, Quark & Vegetable Sauce

I still don't feel comfortable eating pasta but we'll see what the week brings. There's left overs so it'll appear on the plan for tomorrow.

    Night night everyone.

:o:o:o Can I come back? I feel a bit sheepish about having a huge moan! :o

Thanks for all the support, it was really helpful. I think I fall spectacularly when I don't plan food down to the nth degree. I realised that I had been using 6 syns for breakfast then thinking I had 9 syns free (no wonder I could eat so much chocolate)!...........however, the 0.5syns here and there add up, as do the 3 syn mochas.....in actual fact I'd had about 25 syns a day (and still lost.......god knows what my "normal" syn values are).

So....... I ate a whole bag of Twirls in protest. Felt terrible (as predicted) and planned my meals and snacks for the week. I'm refusing to deviate from the 7-day plan I have set out. :D

I still don't have any scales, but perhaps that isn't a bad thing? Perhaps I will try so hard that when I do get scales, there will be a nice surprise? One thing at a time I think.

    So RED today.

B - Rice Krispies, skimmed milk (1/2 HEA), tsp sugar - 6 SYNS
Milk for 3 cups of tea (1/2 HEA)

L - 2 x Nimble white (HEB), turkey, low fat spread (2 syns), 2 mini gingerbread men (2 syns), turkey-laughing cow cheese rolls (1/2 HEA)

D - Slow cooked pork with mushrooms & celery plus gravy (2 syns)
Jacket potato (actually forgot to weigh it but I'll count it as a HEB, it wasn't huge).

    Onken fat free yoghurt.

3 syns for a treat tonight. :A:A I will stick to it even though I am DYING to pick at the chocolates.

I'm going to bribe myself with a sticker chart. It may sound child like but I suspect it will work. I once gave up chocolate for lent, so I can do it, I just dont understand the word "moderation".

Please can anyone tell me how to use the Syns Online tool? Whatever I put in it seems to come up with no matches. I must be doing something wrong, it can't really be that rubbish!

ETA I did get one result - when I searched yoghurt I got Duchy Originals but that's all!

yogurt doesn't have an 'h' in it. it pulls them all up when you search for 'yogurt'.

you have to be stupidly precise otherwise it just does no results, it won't correct spelling or bring up a 'we think you mean this' result although that would be a really helpful addition!

    hi all

on 800 cals or less a day i lost an amazing......................

1 sodding lb!!!! can you believe it?!!!!!

so cross as i could have been sucking on cadbury buttons all week but resisted

    anyho -

MM thats great you can get the mag delivered for you - i find it quite inspiring. good luck with your tuesday meeting.

ammonite - like you i have to plan in minute detail to stick to SW.....but the going is still so slow! keep at it (and make dh hide his choccies)

a guy at my class owns a restaurant - and has put together a SW menu takeaway. we can order a few days in advance for the WI night and he will bring the takeaway with him for a person/family to reheat at home.
most of the recipes are free on EE - but done for you to feed a family of 4!
all i can say is Kerching!!!!!! he is quids in!!!!;)

my tum is feeling better so i'm going to slowly start introducing food again and see how i go. i'm going to plan now for tomorrow - and if at any point it hurts i can resume the calorie drinks again. wish me luck!

  • Hi there,
just joined this site tonight, a few quick details about myself, I joined SW at the end of May 2011 weighing in at 17stone 8.5lb, was absolutely horrified to say the least!
So my first week lost 5.5lb, very happy with that and I have not looked back since.
One week I stayed the same, another week I put on 0.5:mad: for no apparent reason, but all the rest I have consistently lost and my total now stands at 4 stone 5 pounds, so hopefully Wednesdays weigh in will be kind to me and fingers crossed I can lose 2 pound to get my latest award of four and a half stone.
I have used the wii fit for an hours exercise each day this week and usually burn around 400 cals doing so, so I am hoping that this will help me. :D

Total loss = 5 stone 12.5 lbs. / But now GAINED 1 STONE 1.5 LBS!!

    46 weeks!
