Glad you are feeling better Saidan - and a pound is still a pound! And this is what it looks like...

Great idea re: slimming world take aways - our local butcher does Slimming world sausages which are just awesome!

In fact looking at that pic you've lost 4 of those as that block is a 4oz block!!

Oops I never was very good at maths! :rotfl:

Very VERY pleased to say I completely stuck to my plan yesterday, indeed forfeiting the evening snack of more "turkey-cow rolls" which I had accounted for. My 3 syn snack for the evening was a biscuit. A single biscuit. Who knew biscuits could be eaten in quantities of ONE!

I was offered another biscuit and said no. Now, if I could just do that every day. :rotfl::A :D - Day 1 sticker achieved :rotfl:

Left my menu plan in work for today  Cannot remember for the life of me what I was supposed to be having but got a SW-friendly stuffed chicken out of the freezer which I've labelled 4 syns so I will change my plan around to account for this.

Just wish I felt this motivated every day. Feel back on track though, thanks you lovely people x

Despite being mega good,.....for the 2nd week in a row....i lost a half pound...

the consultant said "it had to slow down at some stage"....i says.."i accept it will slow down at some stage....but not while i am still obese".:o...so disheartening...

i know what she is saying...i have been at SW for 28 weeks now...and have lost something every single week....she said she didnt think that was possible til i done it...

but on the other hand....i have the guts of 2 stone more to loose...i know i wont stick with it for 2 more stones....at 1/2lb a week.....

it also has me worried as to what would happen if i wasnt good...

i just cant understand it....i stick to the plan, take plenty of exercise, and i am on Xenical from my GP....

i know all the "good" points that she spoke off....6 months ago i have over 6stone to loose....as of yesterday it was 1 stone 12.5lbs.. but its still so....aghrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr:mad:

    rant over!!

well done all the loosers :A

a guy at my class owns a restaurant - and has put together a SW menu takeaway. we can order a few days in advance for the WI night and he will bring the takeaway with him for a person/family to reheat at home.
most of the recipes are free on EE - but done for you to feed a family of 4!
all i can say is Kerching!!!!!! he is quids in!!!!;)

What a bloody brilliant idea! I love it! I wish more restaurant owners could take a leaf out of his book and make more health-conscious meals on their menus - not just for the dieters amongst us but for the health-conscious in general.

Piglet I feel your pain as I had 3 weeks of that and was absolutely surprised at myself that I didn't give up. I'm at the beginning so couldn't even say it's because I've lost so much already that my body needs a break. Anyway, I proved it pays to keep with it after a great loss this week I'm a believer again!

Keep with it and I'm sure it'll pay off very very soon.

hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j
  • So just back from my early morning meeting, followed by another two meetings and managed to plan it so that I wouldn't be grazing for the rest of the day. It's 11.30 and I've just had lunch! I suddenly thought that I was eating by the clock and why should I do that - who's to say that I can't have lunch early and then two lots of snacks later if I want. On my early days I eat breakfast at 6.45 so having lunch at 11.00 isn't so bad. Now I've had a huge lunch, feel full and know that I can get through the rest of the day.

    Tues 24 January 2012
B-2 slices w/m bread, cut up veg, banana, techina
L-L/O Pasta with Tomato, Quark & Vegetable Sauce; L/O Broccoli & Cauliflower Bake
    S-fruit
    D-Vegetable Soup; Mexican Bake

hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j

    ahh thank you :A

i need to calm down a bit :D

    like i need to be mindful that i have dropped 4 / 5 sizes...in 6 months...
    1.5lbs off xmas week....and 5lbs more since...
(i am saying and thinking all the right things to keep me focused....and to keep me sticking with it...:o)

    but its soooooo disheartening....

    i know the plan works....

    but i also know....at 13.10.5....(im 5ft6) i am nowhere near target...:o

so i cannot fathom why it would "slow down" now

but i will stick with it...

it wont come off....or stay off....if i dont thats for sure.

    I don't understand.. one? one biscuit? :rotfl::rotfl:

Seriously - well done you! :j that is a great acheivement for the day..

Piglet - i'm sure most of us on here have had some sort of plateau at some point and we feel your frustration.. keep going!! We're all behind you... have you increased your exercise at all recently. This maybe why you're retaining your weight or could you reduce portion sizes a bit??

well it was weigh day for me today and i lost 1lb... :j:j so thats 5lb in 3 weeks.. i'm not the fastest of losers but i'll get there!! I have 1.5lb till i get under 14 stone so i'd like to think i could do that next week unless i scupper myself!

Hope everyone has a fab day xx

yogurt doesn't have an 'h' in it. it pulls them all up when you search for 'yogurt'.

you have to be stupidly precise otherwise it just does no results, it won't correct spelling or bring up a 'we think you mean this' result although that would be a really helpful addition!

AAARGH!! all my life I've been spelling it with an H in it and thinking it was right! You live and learn - I feel a bit :o now!

    Thanks for the education :rotfl:

    thank you so much :A

i have a feeling i will need some support if its gonna slow down now..

i havent upped my exercise recently, tho i may have swopped walking for exercise bike twice a week now...

i could DEFO reduce my portion size :o:o

i dont really exercise portion control at all....just stick to all the SW rules, 1/3 of the day superfree, one bread health extra, i dont have a milk / cheese one, 5 / 15 syns a day (i had 77.5 syns last wk, so there was plenty left over for mistakes, or miscalculations etc)

theres lots of factors that effect not loosing. did you wear heavier clothes this week, eat before you went when you usually don't, not go to the loo etc?

i know its really gutting, i was like this last time i did SW, i stuck to steady 1 pound or 1/2 pound losses every week. it was annoying seeing people get 2 or 3 but if anything, i was just glad it was all in the right direction.
