    hi all

does anyone have a biscuit type of recipe? im having very bad craving for biscuits but dont want to be naughty!

    Thanks in advance.

I have just done a google search and came up with this:-

    Christmas Biscuits -
    Ingredients
    • 7oz/198g plain flour
    • ½ tsp ground ginger
    • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
    • 3 ½ oz/100g low-fat spread suitable for baking such as Flora Light
    • 1 ½ oz/42g Splenda Brown Sugar Blend
    • 1 medium egg, beaten
    • 2 tbsp icing sugar, sifted
    • 1 tsp of pink sprinkles
    Method
    1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas 4. In a bowl, mix together the flour, spices, low-fat spread and Splenda until well combined and then stir in the beaten egg.
    2. Bring the dough together, wrap in cling film, and refrigerate for half an hour. Remove, divide the dough into two (working in batches is easier), and roll each piece out to 5mm thick.
    3. Cut out using a 2in/5cm star cutter and place onto a non-stickbaking tray lined with parchment. Create a hole in each biscuit big enough to thread a ribbon through later. Bake for 12 minutes and leave to cool on the tray.
    4. To decorate, mix the icing sugar with just enough water to make athin icing and drizzle on each biscuit. Decorate with the sprinkles and leave to set.
    5. Thread coloured ribbon through each biscuit and hang on the tree on Christmas Eve. (They’ll start to soften after a couple of days so don’t forget to tuck in!)
Syn count: 1 syn per biscuit on Extra Easy, Original (red) and Green plans

I've not tried them though - sorry, I do have a recipe for SW choc chip cookies but they are 3.5 each (I didn't think they were very good value) but if you want me to post just let me know.

    Hope this helps!!! :)

But don't forget nothing is forbidden on the SW plan.....not sure about you but if I deny myself I seem to lose the little self control I have and have more than I would have had I let my self indulge!

Good Luck - loving your name... I don't even like Fairy Cakes, should have had something to do with Chocolate!!

  • Hi everyone
Realised on the way to work this morning I can actual fasten my coat!:j I've been sooo cold for sooo long and now I can fasten it! (I have one two sizes less in my wardrobe and didn't think I had any chance of getting into it but maybe at this rate I will ;)) Yeah just in time for this loverly weather! :D

Also tried on my trousers that were so tight round the waist I was unable to wear them as the waistband cut into me and I was able to wear them for work today and they are still comfy now, after returning home from the pub ! (didnt have chance to change :o).

Weigh in tomorrow but whatever the scales say this has boosted me soooo much :T.
Well done to the losers and big hugs for anyone in need, keep chipping away the small NSV's really help motivate.

I'm supposed to be taking my daughter to a theme park later this year (last year couldn't fasten the safety bars) and going on the rides with her so I must get there (with little detours on the way).

Aren't we all a lovely bunch of losers :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Just today I was reading a an article about a rugby player who gained weight but doctors now say he is fitter than he was before and the his body fat % has not changed.

    hope this helps.

I remember reading somewhere that an overweight person that takes regular exercise is usually fitter than a 'normal weight' (I say this loosely) person that doesn't exercise at all! :T

Alright then, who is going to cheer up a grumpy ammonite?? :(

I stepped on the scales last week and heard a crack (never a good sign!!!) then lost the brilliant 4.5lb when I weighed myself this week.

Just had a naughty sneaky peak and I'm +6lb, then I put my dressing gown on and I was -7lb.

I think my scales are broken AND it means I probably didn't lose 4.5lb this week :(:(:(

Any reccomendations for good scales? Don't want fancy ones that tell me BMI/Fat or anything, just want a normal set of scales - which ones do you all use? (digital if possible)

    Boo hoo :(

I agree with MM - have your loss from last week and well done, I bet you worked really hard to get there :T

I had two pairs of scales, one a very expensive set from debenhams that cost about £35 - they were not fancy and only weighed you but they were digital.
The second I got from Lloyds pharmacy and they cost around £10 and all singing and dancing
The expensive pair have been binned as the broke and became very inaccurate the cheap pair are still going and although I don't look at my body fat  I'd be distraught, they weigh me very well.

    Good luck chosing :)

  • Just weighed myself and I've lost 2lb :j:j this makes my total loss (over the last year - restarted 01/01 after quite a few months off) just over 2 stone and means I have lost 10% of my weight!!! :j:j

So pleased...especially after my few disaster days (I must be making it up with all the walking uphill I'm doing on the 'dreadmill' - it's hard work but obviously working)!:T:T

Thanks to all you lovely lot for your support over these last few weeks it really is helping! I keep getting stuck at 2 stone and have now gone beyond that so hopefully I can continue....

well done FC - I am just starting out on my SW journey and really need to lose this weight. I have followed WW for years and lose 2 stone in a few months and feel better about myself then get stuck, lose heart and put it all back on again. However this time I really hope that things will be different and I'll break the 2 stone barrier as I have 6 stone to lose :(

Tahnsk you K&F - I started out a WW girl, was really bafled by SW at first but I'm loving it - have managed to keep between 1.5 and 2 stone off for over a year and finally have broken through that 2 stone barrier! I still have about 8 stone to lose to get to my ultimate goal :o(although I was at secondry school last time I weighed that, so may be being unrealistic, but it's just inside a health BMI)!

Good luck on your journey I'm sure we'll both be around for a while :D

    Well done!

these are the things that keep you going if the scales say you haven't lost!

In this wonderful community they are known as NSV's - non scales victories!

I've bouth 4 pairs of cords in the fatface sale - 2 pairs of 14's and 2 of 12's.

The 14's I can fasten, although 2 or 3 more pounds off will make them more comfy.... but I am delighted to report that I can get the 12's over my hips and I'm not too far off fastening them!:j:j

Time to brave the crosstrainer lying idle in the garage I think...
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j
