I've spent this evening making SW-friendly hummous, chicken liver pate, smoked mackerel pate and am providing crudites to dip. Tomorrow will prepare a couple of SW potato-based quiches (maybe one bacon and onion and one with smoked salmon) and some lentil soup, then on Saturday will whip up an enormous pot of tomato (pickled onion) soup. As there's only me that is SW-interested, I shall provide lots of interesting breads for everyone else ... it'll be a feast .... When I'm 64 tra la.
Happy birthday BR and sounds like a lovely meal - I love how you can entertain and still keep to SW - and more to the point no-one really needs to know about it!
Have a lovely weekend.Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
I have son and daughter-in-law coming for dinner tonight - they both had birthdays this week so I will make them a cake - decided I'm going to make it in a bundt tin (one of those with the hole in the middle) and then I'm going to fill the middle up with chopped up fruits - strawberries, kiwi and persimmon (very colourful!) so that when they're having their cake I can have the fruit. If I can be very good the rest of the day I'll have a corner of someone's piece just to taste it.

Alright then, who is going to cheer up a grumpy ammonite??
I stepped on the scales last week and heard a crack (never a good sign!!!) then lost the brilliant 4.5lb when I weighed myself this week.
Just had a naughty sneaky peak and I'm +6lb, then I put my dressing gown on and I was -7lb.
I think my scales are broken AND it means I probably didn't lose 4.5lb this week
Any reccomendations for good scales? Don't want fancy ones that tell me BMI/Fat or anything, just want a normal set of scales - which ones do you all use? (digital if possible)
Boo hoo0 -
Ammonite - do not deny yourself the loss last week - it's history!!!!!!
Buy a new scale, or better still, don't and pay every week to weigh yourself at the local chemist - they're much more accurate and saves you having a sneak peak during the week which is never a good idea!Mediterranean Mum

Well yesterday went to plan (with the addition of a hard boiled egg!)
So another green day today:
B: Mullerlight and banana, toast and spread (HEB + 2 syns)
L: Cous cous with roasted veg, apple and raspberriesJacket spud with baked beans and cheese (HEA)
S: 2 x Alpen light (HEB) Choccie bar of some sort (6ish syns)
Just as a side note - does anyone worry about how much they're eating? Out of interest (and I wish I hadn't now) I put yesterdays food into a calorie counter and it came up at just over 1800 cals!!xxx Nikki xxx0 -
TakeItEazy,
Ryvita sweet crunch are 3 syns each or you get 2 for a HEB!!
