  • OMG I'm really struggling today - it's Tuesday again and that's my really really bad day just because of my early morning meeting which seems to throw me off kilter every damn week. My snack list today is as long as my arm but desperately trying not to eat syn-laden stuff although I've definitely had more than I should have had - now I just feel sick!

Went to the market to buy some bananas and strawberries but the queue was too long and I was late for the kids at school so had to put them back! I was really looking forward to these strawberries!!!

    Hi all

Just nipping in and out to wish everybody well and to report my second week was a loss of 1lb so fairly pleased with that.

Well done to all losers and hugs to anybody who needs them

I will come back when things are a little less hectic but good luck all

Already meal planned for week -

Wow! nessie, I'm so impressed with your detailed mealplan. I always plan my dinners a week ahead but just make sure there's something in suitable for making lunches and breakfasts. I'm fortunate that I'm mostly at home for lunch so have flexibility to decide.

Shame about the strawberries mm,as they're perfect SW food being both SW and SS. maybe tomorrow?
I was wondering about your Tuesday meeting. Is it at someone's home or a hotel or anywhere you could ask for 'special' food to be supplied. I wouldn't do it if it was a one-off but as it's every week then a commercial enteprise should be providing some fruit and salads. It's a reasonable request. If that's not possible then you could say something like bread etc isn't agreeing with me, do you mind if I bring my own and you could eat your frittata and a fruit salad. The other option is to do (as many people do) and have one- off, planned 'binge' on a Tuesday morning so by 'planning' it the guilt would go. I know someone who goes to the chippy every week after WI and then she's 'good' for the rest of the week. It just means having fewer syns every other day.

I'm still having as many SW meals as possible between unavoidable off-plan meals. It'll keep me in touch. No WI for me this week as I'm busy and should have broken even by next week.

    Today's EE:
B: NAS squash, grapefruit (was tinned but didn't have juice so am ignoring it as it needed eating up), HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
    L: Sandwich (shop bought:o) and crisps(:o)
D: liver & onions, cauli, carrots, broccoli, mash, gravy (2?)

OK, really knuckling down. I'm not losing as quickly as I should be because I keep having nibbles of this and that here and there, and it all adds up, I know.
I'm still two pounds off where I was at the beginning of DEcember, and in the early weeks of december I actually lost 5lb, so I'm in reality half a stone off that lowest point. Which is very annoying. I'm 10lbs away from being in the 'normal' range BMI so not far, but I can't afford to let it slip any further. I want to get back down to that, and then take it another half stone down from there. DEfniitely doable. Just got to knuckle down in this 'dead time' - nothing between here and Easter to throw me offf (oh.Except son's birthday and party, people coming to stay.. gah!)
    So, today (EE):
    B: nat yog, berries
    snack: banana, orange
    L: jacket pot, cottage cheese
snack: Fibre plus bar (HEB), mug shot
Dinner: quorn cottage pie and veg

Realised I didn't have enough superfree at lunch. I must bring it with me as its so expensivce in my work canteen and basically doubles the price of a jacket pot with cottage cheese.

Add a onion, butternut squash (chopped into cubes) leeks and a couple of carrots.I put the whole lot in the slow cooker and let it cook all day.

Just checking in - I am working away from home until Thursday and staying in a hotel so will have to try to choose wisely from the menu tonight. I have brought fruit with me and just had a couple of pieces to try to stop me being so starving and drooling over the bread basket. Mind you looking at the menu it's gonna be tough tonight, will probably go for a steak & ask for it with boiled potatoes & veg

i think he thought he would have to give me a fiver....then i would give up :rotfl:

Thats a fantastic loss over 6 months well done! Can't you give hubby a gentle reminder, in his best interests of course....before it costs too much??? ;)

I've been bunged up this week too, always seems to happen around my second to third week back on plan :o (I'm like a boomerang when it comes to slimming world)! Hoping it will pass (excuse the pun) before weigh in! ;)

    .

I take my daughter's ipod and either listen to music or books - I'm currently revisiting Harry Potter and the Half blood Prince...

What a good idea - never thought of listening to stories!!! :rotfl:
