tell me about it! it hasn't changed since I last did SW two years ago!0 -
I like the idea of watching big people mm, Hopefully there'll be some lean meat and plenty of salads over the weekend. Do your best and have a plan ready for Sunday.
We're off to the cinema too this evening (The Iron Lady) so need to tink whether to eat before or after.
I hope so maman, I certainly plan to be good. If you're going to the cinema learn from my mistake and eat before you go! We're going again on Sunday evening (for a school benefit) and I've planned Sunday and will definitely eat before I go.purpleheather2810 wrote: »I've also been listening to a flylady audiobook called "body clutter". I have been subscribed to flylady for quite some time and do my best to follow her, so I thought I would treat myself and buy the audiobook. I am only up to chapter 5 but I think it's very good, it is really helping me to think about my issues around food and the reasons why I sabotage myself. Hope this helps someone xx
I didn't know people in the UK knew about flylady PH - I've been trying to follow her for years and admittedly I'm more off than on plan with that too!! Do you think there's something in this??? Did you buy the audiobook in the UK or did you order it from the US? If you bought it in the UK can you tell me where as I might also treat myself to it when I'm there next month.Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
Hi all,
Well I had WI last night and ....drum roll please....... I lost another 2.5lbs :j Woohoo! I lost 3.5lbs last week (admittedly after gaining 4.5lb over christmas) so wasn't expecting a huge loss this week, as that just isn't normally the way it works for me, anyway there are no complaints from me, I'm so very pleased, and I got slimmer of the week too. :j
The Club was absolutely heaving with new members, lots taking advantage of special offers to join, we had to put out extra chairs and we over ran with the time. I can't decide if that's good or not, It's nice to see new faces etc. but if it gets too busy you lose that personal touch, we shall have to wait and see. When Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0 -

Hi - can I join in please? Nessie216 posted a link on the Tesco 11+ thread.
I joined SW on Monday for the first time and so far (day 5 lol) I'm finding it really good. I have always done WW in the past but go through the same routine of joining in jan / feb - losing 2 or 3 stone by summer - feeling better about myself and going back to my old habits only to find I have fallen off the wagon good and proper and put all the weight on again by Christmas. The problem I found with WW was it was so restrictive in the weighing and measuring department... i travel around the country a lot with my job and spend most of the time in the car.
I have a lot of weight to lose to take me down to "healthy" weight (probably 6 stone) and I do get downhearted at the thought.
Anyhoo, here's to a new year and a new start on a new plan. I have to say that I don't feel like I am "on a diet" because I am eating so much - just lots of the right things and none of the junk.
Can I just check though - I am following Extra Easy and don't drink milk so I have cheese as my HEA; Bread doesn't particularly float my boat but I see that 1tbsp Olive Oil is an HEB - can I use this for cooking?Mortgage Aug 22 £280,000

Welcome! :j:j:j
The olive oil can be used for cooking or have you looked at the other heb's? It isn't just bread, you can have certain cereal bars, dried fruit, stewed fruit .... the list is quite big!0 -
Well done you...:T

lol we should!
what always struck me about those online food diaries is they tell you to record it as its eaten/drunk but who on earth has a brew goes online and records it then does the same for every snack drink and meal? all mine were done in one go at night and I bet I forgot at least one thing a day!
the new app is useless for anything but counting syns too. it'd be much better if free food and HE were on there.
barring that, I don't see why they can't produce little food diary notebooks like the £2.95 free food and low syn snack ones. if it was pretty, portable and useful I'd buy one.0 -
Well done to all the losers.
I love the idea of carrying bags of sugar around - that would certainly focus the mind! I'm going to try it when I get home.
Question: How do you all manage to eat so little? When you list your foods I think I could never manage on so little (obviously the reason I need to lose weight) lol.0
