Well, my first WI last night, and I lost 2.5lbs. I was pleased, until my sister weighed and had lost 5lbs!! I know we are all different, and I have probably eaten more than her .......... onwards and upwards.
I can;t post my daily eating, as I never know what food is going to be available as work provide lunch for us. (there is always the option of salads, but the mains change daily)
    Today I have eaten:
weetabix x 2, water, muller light and pear (HEB)
    Rice, veg curry, salad
    Veg soup, apple, satsuma
then tonight I have pork casserole with lots of veggies.
    Milk for tea (HEA)

It's so dishartening when that happens :( but well done - you're 2.5lb lighter than you were - completely in the right direction!! :A
The slower the loss the more chance you have of keeping it off! East yourself slim girl.....that's what slimming world's for!

    FC xx

Good luck for the up coming week

I have asked a question on shopping but perhaps you can help more, my neighbour with no computer has started slimming world , she has to have dairy free and gluten free. She has been having soya yogs from asda but her SW lady told her she could not have them but offerd no alternative. Can anyone help, i had thought about suggesting she make her own if it is do-able. Thank you.

i have been on the S/W website and onto syns online. The only soya yoghurt I know of is the Alpro Soya ones - I randomly put in the Forest fruit one and it comes out as 2 syns. So your neighbour can have it - but it's not free!

If she can give us the nutritional info of the Asda one - cals/protein/fat/carbs per portion/100g we can put them through the syns calculator and give her a value for them!

    Hope this helps!

FC - dont beat yourself up over a piece of birthday cake, the rest of your day was good and if you stick to plan today you will be fine.

Thanks Primmer - I've managed to stick to plan today so only tomorrow to go till weigh in day!!!

Well done on losing your 1lb, It is really disheartening when you expect to lose more but little steps in the right direction get us where we want to be so chin up and good luck for this week! :)

    hi all

i really want to try a meatball recipe - and cos i can't eat wholemeal pasta i'll have to be EE to have it with white pasta  so i'll try to eat the SF and hope it don't kill me LOL saidan
Saidan, unless you are desperate for pasta there's no law says it has to be pasta with meatballs - you could put them onto a jacket potato, mash, quinoa, couscous, rice, or just a big thick pile of ratatouille or similar, whatever best suits your dodgy insides really.

I just read on the website that maintenance of weightloss is one of the most under-recognised acheivements:D That made me feel really good, and to think I dared to criticise the website:o

yeah, but we manage to maintain our weightloss much better than they maintain their website which has got to be amongst the most difficult to navigate (I say amongst because I work for the NHS and also have to look at Government websites and neither of them are user-friendly!)
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

    joined sw on 22/10/08

That's not right the SW lady saying she can't have soya yoghurts - with SW you can have things as long as you use your syns for them.
I'm vegan so can't have the diet yoghurts - I doubt I'd have them if I could as I don't like the artificial sweetners. The Alpro and Provamel fruit yoghurts are 2 syns a pot, pretty sure Asdas are 2 syns - only £1 for 4 too. Plain yoghurt is also the same but needs measuring - I just keep a washed fruit yoghurt pot and put some in there and count 2 syns.
It's the same with soya cheese - there is not a low fat one or with the soya cream cheese - I just have to count mine as syns or a HE.
I do have a yoghurt maker but not tried it yet - the starter pots are all dairy so I'll need to use some plain soya yoghurt I guess as a starter. Must look into that again as it's never been used!

I make a SW rice pud using soya milk that tastes nice and if your neighbour likes chocolate then you can make a chocolate mousse with silken tofu and coaco powder and sweetner of choice - pretty low syn as it's so rich you don't need a lot!
