Come on Med.Mum - you can do this ! :D you have done so well already!! You are right, today is another day! :D

I lost 4lb this week. I am pleased but done SO much exercise and had a sneaky peek yesterday and it was a 5lb loss, so ever so slightly disappointed. However, if I'm being honest, all the exercise has meant I've had rogue chocolates now and again, probably way over my syns, so I'm going to take the 4lb loss and run with it! This second week, I am synning every single morcel of food that goes into my mouth (if it has syns!).

  • Thanks ammonite - I know I can do it but I get so depressed about my weight and when I don't see the scales moving I think "what's the point". Anyway I'm back on track today and I'm going to try and get on the "dreadmill" later and see if I can do at least 20 minutes every day. I've also got a possible zumba class tonight but it's late and it depends how I feel at the end of the day.

Here's my plan for today -

    Wed 11 January 2012
B-large tuna and egg salad – cabbage, cucumber, tomato, sp onions, pickled cucumber, beetroot, ½avocado, 1 tblspn light mayo – 7 syns
    L-Luxury Fish Pie (Nov/Dec11 pg 69)
S-2 slices w/m bread toasted with 1 tblspn humous, tomato slices - 21/2 syns
D-Lentil & Pumpkin soup; Mexican Bake

hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j

Exactly! But it's sitting in my living room so I should use it instead of hanging the wet washing on it!!

I had a really bad day yesterday. Tuesdays are a nightmare for me as I leave the house at 6am for a breakfast meeting at 7am. I try to eat with SW in mind - two slices of w/m bread and cut up vegetables but somehow it's just not enough for me and having the bread at that time makes me hungry later. There are eggs available too but when I've eaten them they've made me really ill for the rest of the day (I have IBS). Unfortunately it's a buffet breakfast and the rest of the offerings are mainly cheeses which I can't eat but actually don't like anyway. Sometimes they offer fruit but it's usually sweet buns instead!

So I ended up eating lunch (left over from the previous evening's dinner) at about 11am and that didn't satisfy me either and then I had this real depression in the afternoon (when I was posting on here about not succeeding) and it just set me back for the rest of the day. I just couldn't find enough to eat or to satisfy me. I ended up eating almost a full bag of pistachios that my DH had bought for himself (!), then had no dinner to punish myself and ended up having a couple of handfuls of choc chips and a ton of crackers with humous right before I went to bed - result was that I had a total IBS attack and was up half the night!!

OK so today is another day and let's hope I can pull myself together...

Its one meal out of 21 meals. can you not be a bit more relaxed and have something from the breakfast table - ok may be more syn options than you would like but if your other 6 breakfasts are good then I think it would set you up for the day to have a substantial breakfast and could be a weekly treat ?
  • well for once I'm organised enough to post my eating plan for today:-

pre breakfast - apple and pear

breakfast - 35g porridge (HEB) + skim milk (HEA) + mixed berries and a banana

    snack - orange/melon

lunch - left over hash ( left over lamb, stock, onion, potato and carrots cooked for hours in the S/C) + broccoli and cauli

    tea - baked sweet potato + tuna + salad/veg.
    Acdtivia FF yog.

Have to be organised today - have to take DD1 to the hospital!
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j

The breakfast table consists of grilled vegetables (which I eat), cut up lettuce, cucumber, tomato (which I eat), an assortment of cheeses (which I don't eat), olives (I don't like), techina (I have a couple of tablespoons), bread (2 slices), jams, chocolate spread, peanut butter, butter, scrambled eggs (which kills my stomach - I think it must be the fat that it's cooked in), pastries, tea & coffee

I think I'm making the best choices from what's available but every week it seems to play havoc with my day - I don't know if it's because I'm eating at a different time or if it's because I'm eating bread which I don't normally eat in the morning, or whether it's because I then go on to other meetings and end up not being back in the office until lunchtime when I'm then starving. I'm going to start taking some fruit with me so that if they don't provide it at least I'll have it with me.

Thanks for the support Saidan and everyone else - I love this forum.
