  • Well being 100% on plan this week and I am trying really hard to lose 3lb. That will get me my 1.5 stone and my club 10 award and will also ge my BMI below 30. I have never lost more than 2.5lb a week even being 100% so not sure it is acheiveable but I am doing loads of just dance on the ps3 - you can but try.

Morning ladies! Just back from a trot round the park with the dogs - dread to think what I look like in my scruffs jogging up and down fields trying to get dogs to follow me! Blew away the cobwebs though.

    Today's food will be..
    Breakfast - banana
Lunch - salad bits and a bit of quorn ham
Tea - mexican potato bake (free) with cheese on top
Snacks - pomegranate, strawberries (probably with a dollop of chocolate spread)

    have a good day!

Do you have a recipe for the mexican potato bake as this sounds like something I would enjoy.
  • Just seen an advert on the telly for tomorrow's Sunday Mirror with a free Slimming World pull out guide - may be useful for new starters?

There will be a total of 4 booklets in sat sun mon and tues mirror for those interested. I am gutted I missed this yesterday but wonder how useful this will be to somebody already attending class.

Yesterday started off well but I'd planned a dinner party some time ago. I really thought that I could sit there and watch everyone else eat and just eat my alloted amount - it wasn't to be and I failed miserably -

    Sat 7 January 2012
B-tuna and egg salad – tomato, cucumber, spring onion, tuna, hard-boiled egg, beetroot, 1 tblspn light mayo – 2 syns
    S-banana
L-beef, barley and veg in the slow cooker – onions, carrots, potato; Israeli salad (cucumber, tomato, spr onion, red pepper); 2 tblspns humous – 5 syns
    S-orange, persimmon
D-pumpkin soup; tomato & basil tart (not SW!); salad nicoise with honey poppyseed dressing (not SW!), fruits of the forest berry fool (not SW!), chocolate mousse pie (definitely not SW!), half a breezer

There was also some bread during the day, more than I should have had and a few other nibbles that I shouldn't have had so I'm hanging my head in shame and hoping to get back on plan today although have just had a couple of very large spoonfuls of the left over chocolate mousse pie before throwing the remainder in the bin!

Don't hang your head in shame, we all have to have a life and that life sometimes includes eating wonderfully rich foods (all sound heavenly btw!)

Just class this a flexi day and know that you enjoyed yourself but its now time to get back on plan.

I had a bit of a flexi day yesterday too.. I had a dodgy tummy( i blame the fairy cake) and all i could keep down was dry crackers and biscotti :( but i'll be back on track today if i can.
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

I will be using the quiet time I have today to meal plan. I am undecided how best to do this so if you have any tips, please share.

The most important thing for me is to plan my syns. I also need to work out whether I can do extra easy or whether I should stick with red/green days. At the moment, there is no structure to my days and I'm having far too many syns. :(

I am very near where I started my SW journey and this time round its much harder but one step, one day at a time.

You have to LIVE - and not in a slimming world bubble! Otherwise you'd go mad!

So accept it - today is another day - and you're back on plan.....

And don't hang your head in shame - just concentrate on the next week/day!

Off to Asda today, so have written a list. OH will have to take me as car undriveable until the clutch is fixed.

Yesterday I had wraps for dinner filled with spicy quorn, peppers and onions and a mound of veg (all I had in)

    Today:

Breakfast: porridge cooked with forest fruits and total o% fat stirred in.

Having a late lunch so just had a snack of two carrots and a banana

    L. Poached egg with beans, grilled mushroom and tomatoes

    D. undecided but might make the cheesy brocolli bake from the sw extra easy recipe book (on loan from a friend)
    shape rhubarb crumble flavour yoghurt.
