All went horribly wrong last night. Big box of milk tray (which I don't even like) got binged on. Time of the month, first day back at work, filthy weather, post christmas blues... lots of things to blame it on but it was stil my hand and my mouth that did the deed. Have instructed Husband to remove the choc, which he duly has. Now the only choc left inthe house is my son's, so hopefully that will keep me away from it...

well after yesterday's blow out today is looking like this -

B-2 egg frittata with red peppers and tomatoes and 30g grated cheese + cut up tomato, cucumber and red peppers (HEA)
    S-banana

    planned -
L-braised cabbage mixed with tuna, beetroot, onions, courgette, 1 tblspn light mayo – 2 syns
    S-2 slices w/m bread, 1 tblspn humous, tomato slices - 2½ syns
    D-lentil soup

not sure if this constitutes a green, original or EE day as I've never quite got my head around the differences!

    it could be any!
    EE= fine as it is
GREEN = would have to use tuna as a HEB and weigh it out first with additional HEA left.
RED = would have to use lentils as a HEB and weight out first with additional HEA left.

i have decided to start keeping a note of the syns each day,

so in my brand new 2012 diary i am going to write them down every day,

the first 8 weeks of SW i wrote down every single bite that went into my mouth.....so now i have the hang of it...of the free and superfrees and all...

i think the syns is the main thing for me to record on a daily basis,

so i have had 0 syns on monday, 12 on tues, 15 on wed,

i tend to eat free all day, and save my syns for crisps or chocolate or even tea and biscuits at nite :D

i read somewhere that for anyone who wants to loose around 2 stone should drop the syns to 5 / 10 per day :(, can anyone confirm this,

i am 2 stone 2.5lbs from (a generous) target

That's too complicated for my little brain  I think that's why I stick to EE which I can just about cope with !

    Hi guys

Back to the SW grind stone for me again this year - i'm now nearing my heaviest weight ever again after excuses after excuses why i needed to eat takeaways and ready meals for the last few weeks..

    Starting weight 14.6 stone
    Goal weight 12 stone

I've been SW-ing for a few days and have had some lovely dinners - mac and cheese, sweet and sour pork & noodles and bacon and butternut squash risotto.. quite enjoying not eating all the chocolate and cr*p that i've had over xmas...

i'm off to catch up a bit (evilsquid thanks for the updates, must have took you ages!) see you all later xx

Right well I finally have to admit Christmas is over and must get back on track. I've put on another pound this week because of New Year's pigginess so total of 5 lbs put on over the holidays.

To be honest I wanted to get rid of some of the goodies before I threw myself back into the diet properly. So today's the day!

I've cancelled my online subscription as also need to save after big expensive skiing holiday. Also, I've still got the magazines and the books and I'm going to download as much info as I can until my subscription ends.

So I'll be logging on here with my Thursday weigh-ins!

I need to plan more, I didn't plan much over the last couple of weeks - i was on holiday for a week before Christmas and eating hotel food (very good food though!) and then just got out of the habit when I came back. Which means my shopping bills have also been horrendous!

So New Year's resolution is to plan more and be a bit more organized. I constantly feel like I'm chasing my tail so need to wise up a bit.

Sorry for rambling and Happy New Year to all!

  • Hello everyone, May i join you? Been lurking for quite a while but have decided i need help to stay on the straight and narrow. Got to target (10st 2lb) just before Christmas, lost nother 2lb but then managed to put on 4lb:( over christmas, STS this week and really need to learn how to maintain, really feel my journey is just beginning xx
  • Delurking as I haven't spotted this mentioned yet - Mug Shots are currently half price in Morrisons, think they are now 29p, offer on either till 15th or 29th January. Mullerlights are also 12 for £2 but that finishes this Saturday (do people actually pay full price for Mullerlights, as they are normally on a good offer in at least one supermarket!)

Sorry if someone has already posted the mug shots deal, I might have been busy laughing at the tampons comments and missed it :D

That's too complicated for my little brain  I think that's why I stick to EE which I can just about cope with !

it took me ages to get my head around the two at first!

the main differences are that what was once your second HEB on G (meat) or R (pasta, grains, beans) is now free on EE so you don't need the two HEBs. its still the same food, its now just counted differently.

i still prefer green over EE. cheese is my weakness atm and i want my extra HEB for cheese :j

also, i had the pasta with the garlic and herb philadelphia light stirred in as a sauce thats been in one of the magazines for dinner - its really nice and quick :) i chucked in some spinach too.

Hope you can clear something up for me?

I was on the understanding that if a food was free on both green and red then it would be free on extra easy?

But looking at a book of branded foods, things such as extra lean mince is free on red but not green?

Or are you allowed lean meat with out skin and cooked without fat?

Was going to have beans on toast for lunch, but think I have to syn baked beans on extra easy?

    Thanks in advance
