I must admit that I have celebrated with a school dinners pudding (small portion of apple crumble and custard) (I'm a teacher) but am now back on the wagon.
Well done WW!! :j
Fantasic loss...Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
No syns in the cottage cheese
110g reduced fat cheddar is 15.4syns accordding to syns online - so split into 4 = 3.85syns per serving!
Or you could put in 180g reduced fat cheddar & make it 1hea per serving! (or 6.3 syns per serving!)
Can you tell i deal with numbers for my job??? :rotfl:
Thanks so much for that, why didn't they include the HEa in the recipe . So if I use cheese as HEa the rest should be a free meal?WelshWoofer wrote: »Well, its been exactly a week since I started back on the straight and narrow and the scales thos morning said....... 4lbs lost !!!:j:j:j:j Hurrah!

Today's food has been...
Breakfast - banana, 1 slice wholemeal bread, cheese (A and B choice)
Lunch - pasta and sauce, crumble and custard:o (syntastic!)
Tea -something free - not sure what yet, maybe a jacket spud and beans
Snacks - will only be fruit to make up for the naughty pudding
Not sure how many syns that I've had so no more for the day or it'll be a lb back on!

If you're going to freeze it pah you'll need to cook it first then defrost before reheating. Or you could cook it, keep in fridge and reheat tomorrow. freezing's probably safer in case you don't feel like it tomorrow either.WelshWoofer wrote: »Well, its been exactly a week since I started back on the straight and narrow and the scales thos morning said....... 4lbs lost !!!:j:j:j:j Hurrah!
Hurrah indeed! Clever you:TI have found one 10 miles away on my day off so might be worth a drive to that one. Do you just turn up on the night as a new member?
A bit worried about going alone but i agree prob best way to get the books.
It is the best was 'cos you'll get the introductory talk and be able to ask questions too. And you'll get the brand new (Jan 2012) books which won't be the ones on ebay. It should cost you about £10 but we're still waiting for news about free membership (£5) which often appears in magazines in January.
Have just eaten a cracker with brie and a shortbread biscuit. Sorry if TMI but I want to get back in target range.0 -

Evening all, bad day today. Lost count of syns and anyways by mid afternoon I was so busy and stressed I didn't care!
Breakfast - eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes cooked in fry light
Lunch - parsnip, potato and onion soup
Dinner - chicken fried in a little olive oil with mushrooms and oven chips plus a dollop of full fat mayo (eeeek! OH cooked this and I have to say it was fit!)
Snacks - 2 quality street chocolates, a shot of baileys, cappuccino sachet (60 calories worth) several normal coffees and a blueberry muffin.......
Number of syns? christ knows! They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson
It's always better to be late in this life, than early in the next0 -
Dizzy is so much on my mind recently, am assuming the worse has happened as we haven't heard from her for a while. My heartfelt thoughts are with her & hope shes looking after herself.
Took me ages to make the cheese & onion pie what with all the washing up of pans, bowls etc for my ONE POT meal :rotfl: now waiting for it to finish cooking.
So another on tank day:
B - weetabix hot water/milk [.5a] coffee
Snack - fruit/yog
L - 2x wm rolls [2xb], coronation coleslaw [9.5 probably didn't have that amount but best to be over than under], toms, cous cous muffin, b/stick [1], p/white [2.5]
T - cheese & onion pie [1.5a] [onions, pots, carrots, peas instead of green beans as had none]
Syns - 13
Now before those that don't know me pounce on the 3 HEbs, I am at [below] target so when I am on lunch duty I have extra bs as 1 roll isn't enough to fill me up and they do say target members should up HEs to maintain. I only manage the extras twice a week as the rest of the time I'm hard pushed to have the normal amountanyway seems to work ok for me

Hi, hope you don't mind me joining
I want to lose about a stone as slowly over the year my weight has been creeping up. I have looked into going to meetings but all my local ones start at 7pm (i work until 7.30pm) and there isn't one on my day off.
Thought about joining online but slimming world won't let me because my BMI is within normal range as a healthy weight.
Iv never joined before so althouth i know the basics of how it works after reading most of this thread i am still a bit unsure about red, green and extra easy. Watching books and starter pack on ebay but they are going for crazy prices!
Anywhere else i can get a starter pack from? I also want a food directory and syns book.
Surely you can fib online and they'll never know. And if you go to group you can do what I've heard some do and keep on your (heaviest) shoes to be weighed! Just to make sure they don't decide there that you don't count. Some groups give out the books etc to newbies right away I think, and some wait until after class when you get weighed having filled in a form etc.TakeItEazy wrote: »Dizzy is so much on my mind recently, am assuming the worse has happened as we haven't heard from her for a while. I'm thinking about dizzy too, it may be that she and hubby have moved in with MIL for the duration to help her and there's no internet there - plus she has other things on her mind of course. Sad time. And you get plenty of food down you TIE, you've had some rough times yourself and we all know how that can make food the least priority x
I'm trying hard this week, will weigh myself in a day or so to see if I've dumped the few pounds I ate-on over Christmas.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

its is definitely NOT low carb. extra easy concentrates on "free foods" that are nearly all fruits and veggies, pasta, rice, grains, and lean meat and fish. they are "free" in that you can eat as much as you want when you want to.
you then have one serving of dairy, either milk or cheese a day and one serving of things like bread and cereals a day. these have to be measured out exactly.
everything that isn't a free food has a syn value. thats chocolate, alcohol, crisps and things like butter and cream.
you can eat anything you want but it teaches you to balance in that yes you can eat the dairy milk but one dairy milk is enough and that you need to make sure you have fruit, veggies, carbs and protien too throughout the day.
when you are starting out, basically raid the fruit and veg aisle, get yourself some lean meats and fish and eat up the cereal you have in the house in blissful ignorance before you get your books and realise which ones count and how much you can have. :rotfl:0
