I'm assuming everyone either knows about this or I've just missed the post about it but it's always good to have a reminder!

Starting tomorrow in The Mirror there are four Slimming World pamphlets being given away, probably a good buy for people like me who aren't joining. It also has a free membership voucher in it, and money off coupons in Tuesdays.

    http://www.slimmingworld.com/about-us/news.aspx

    Hope that helps someone.

Thank you so much. You have helped me :) I am going to join sw on Tuesday and will appreciate the membership voucher.

I just popped in to say hello to everyone and intoroduce myself.

I am going to my first sw class on Tuesday. I can see a suitable time and day on the internet. Do I just turn up? I can't see a contact phone number.

I am in for a long slog diet. I am getting married in July 2013 and want to be a much slimmer bride. I am also in the position of having yet another wardrobe of clothes that don't fit. My weight has been creeping up since 2005 and I have steathily increased the clothes sizes when I buy. Now I have had a kind of lightbulb moment and there will be no more buying. I am back to work on Monday and will make myself put up with uncomfortable clothes as a wee reminder.

Many thanks for the tips on the past couple of pages. I need to get some shopping in tomorrow so they will help.

I don't have any scales just now as I have loaned them out. I have avoided even glancing at them for a long time. I have asked for them back, so will update when I get them. I am going to take measurements today too. And possibly some fat photos. I don't have a printer, but thinking of using one as a screensaver as I use the laptop constantly.

I just read the terms and conditions of this - you must use it before January 16th -

To be eligible for the offer of free membership you must present a fully completed voucher at a Slimming World group meeting before Monday, January 16th 2012 and pay the usual weekly fee of £4.95 (€9.00 in ROI) at that meeting.

Unfortunately no use to me as I won't be in the UK until February.

hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j

This is what I am planning to eat today. Any hints or comments most welcome :)

    B. 1 oz porridge oats coeked with about a quarter of a packet of frozen summer fruits (mixed berries) with 2 desert spoons of total 0% greek fat yoghurt stirred in.

    L. Tuna salad and cuscous (spelling!) mixed salad leaves, spring onion, 2 beetroots, red onion and tomato
    Fresh pineapple

    D. Thinking of making a chickpea, spinach, pepper and mushroom curry which I will have with rice (can I use any kind?)
    Shape rhubarb crumble style yoghurt

snacks. I have some pears that need eating up
  • Prudent - you can have an extra 7g of porridge now - it's gone up from 28g (1oz) to 35g!

I think you can use any kind of rice!

Morning all, I am coming back to this thread and to SW. I lost just under 2 stone and got to my target weight last year. I got married in August last year and since the honeymoon I have let things slide and now am well over target weight. I started back on SW yesterday and am going to do EE plan as before but am going to try to do it without going back to group.

I think you're doing all the right things! I've been going over 18 months and the results are amazing! You have plenty of time to find the new you in time for your wedding!

Just turn up at group - there will probably be a few new members so you shouldn't feel alone!

Your consultant will go through the plan with you - but make sure you read the book - and ask on here - we'll all be glad to help!

And if you post your menus on a daily basis it gives you focus and if you need a bit of help we can see what you're doing!

Welcome back Primmer - I'm trying to shift a monstrous gain due to Christmas cake! I'm glad to have some company!

    Hello everyone!
Another bad day for me y'day - went well overboard on the syns :(

I'm finding my worst time of day is the evening - I start to feel hungry and crave savoury snacks - crisps/crackers/cheese etc. I eat my main meal between 4-5pm with LO as he comes home from school starving!

Does anyone have any ideas on how to train myself out of the evening munchies :o

Not quite sure what food will be today. probably along the lines of:

    HEA milk for coffee
ww tomato soup and 2 x wm bread - HEB & ?4 syns?
pasta and veg bake with hm tomato sauce or quark garlic sauce
    diet cola for drinks
snacks - fruit, muller light, breadsticks w/philly extra light

got round to weighing myself y'day - to get in the very top end of normal for my BMI I need to lose 18 lbs -
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

    RIP POOCH 5/09/94 - 17/09/07
  • save a treat for the evening?

I walk in the evenings - a couple of times round the block -and I don't want to eat when I get back - I just have a cuppa!
